Do not take this SS lightly! This is one of the most ultimate Novas there are. Not only is it a big block with a 4-speed but it has factory air conditioning too! Not to mention bucket seats, console, and gauges; features rarely found in a Nova. It is #s matching throughout out: motor, trans, rear, and colors. 1/4 million Novas were made in 1969, only 1,974 were 396-350 hp. Only 4% of the Novas built were 4-speeds. Throw in factory a/c and the other options- how many exist on the planet and how many are original # matching cars? Not only are these features rare, but they are extremely desirable which is the key. This is a rare opportunity!
EXTERIOR: The body really impressed me. I think it's laser straight, I didn't find any rust or damage. The lines are all square and flush, doors open and close like a new car. Repainted its original Cortez silver. It's a very glossy clear coat finish that presents itself beautifully. If you look hard, you'll find a few little imperfections. The vinyl top looks new, windshield and back window is crystal clear. Overall, the chrome and trim presents itself very nicely. It has a great stance. It sits on 15 inch SS wheels and BFG tires, wider and fatter in back.
INTERIOR: I typically expect to see a bench seat in a Nova. Not only does this one have buckets but it also has the console with the factory gauges including the tachometer in the dash. Overall, very nice and unabused condition. The instrument panel, heater controls, original radio are all clean. Sharp looking rosewood deluxe wheel. Clean ashtray, matching cigarette lighter, inside the glove box is the owner's manual. Nice carpet on the floor, nice headliner on the ceiling. The seats have real good cushions, the headrests and seat backs are excellent. It has a full set of factory seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Surprise, surprise! It has its original VIN number matching 396-350 horsepower motor along with factory air conditioning. Everything looks stock: the manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner, fuel filter, stickers. It even has a factory smog pump system. Correct hose clamps, new heater control valve. Wires are run neatly, squirters are hooked up, it has hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted and clear coated real slick. Inside is clean metal that was sprayed with spatter finish. The weatherstrip and trunk mat were replaced. It has a restored SS wheel with a reproduction redline tire for a spare.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension looks like it's been completely apart and rebuilt. In back it has air shocks. Fresh looking dual exhaust with correct transverse muffler. The brake system was restored, it has disc in front. The e-brake cables are hooked up, the lines and hoses were replaced. The fuel, tank, straps, sending unit and lines were replaced. Looking up at the motor it's clean Chevy orange, the motor mounts and starter are clean. It has its original VIN number matching M20 Muncie 4-speed transmission. The dates and codes all line up. It also has its original 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.31 gears, the dates and codes also line up. It appears to have clean rust free original floors, they're painted a satin black.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the reverse lights, replaced the horn, charged the air conditioning, replaced the headlight dimmer switch, welded a loose tailpipe, gave it a front end alignment, repaired rear brake light, replaced the door lock cylinders and the door lock latch.
You know what's interesting? They made more 396s with 375 hp (5,262) than 350 hp (1,947)! The 375 hp wasn't available with a/c which is why I consider this the most ultimate Nova you could buy new in 1969. This is an investment you can enjoy!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

This exact car,and a 1970 Chevelle SS,my two favorite muscle cars! My first car at 19yrs of age was a 1970 Chevelle SS. But in 1980,it was just a 10yr old car. Two years later traded it in for a Toyota Celica. Been wearing a dunce cap ever since!
With ALL this car has going for it, the color combo is SWEEET!!!

Awesome Nova SS Jay! Great options makes it a rare car. Great engine exhaust and exhaust note, and always love your little scratching of first gear.

the body side molding were an option in 1968 only , however many did order them and do their own install .
@John-mp1rr than you ordered a 68 in 69 or you are full of sht
@John-mp1rr one more thing you need to be aware of in 69 the four speed was a M 22 not an M21 im thinking i smell sht ,,, from a fourth generation US Marine .
@John-mp1rr now im wonder if you are a veteran since you lied about everything else
@John-mp1rr stop liking your own comments , you may want to check that for accuracy Marines use there own recon . you never served a day in your life.
@John-mp1rr and learn how to spell beret dumazz barai lol lol lol
