After a quick top up shop in Rema 1000 in Vigeland we arrive at the southernmost tip of Norway and explore Lindesnes lighthouse in a gale!
Moving on, we find a park up for the night across a narrow causeway and settle down to a tasty dinner at Vestbygd .

Twenty years ago, I left Lindesnes one February morning and began walking northwards. In mid-September, I arrived at Nordkapp, having skied and walked the whole way. One of the great adventures of my life

As a norwegian i think that the true beauty of Norways nature begins to show in the middle and northern parts of Norway. Understandable not wanting to drive the whole way now when the winter is coming, but absolutely worth a visit. The midnight sun during the summer or the northern lights during winter is just magical! :D

When I was young, I went for a roadtrip up to Nordkapp in Norway. I slept in the wan and the plan was to go to the toaletts on petrolstations. At the first place I asked to loan the toalett, -they said that it was only for the staff. However, when you must you must. So I went into the woods and did my thing and covered it with a stone. On my way back I fell into what an other man had left. My shoulder was cowered in shit so I ditched my jacket. Further north the distance between petrolstations got longeer, so I ended up doing my thing in the woods, or between boulders and cover it. But others had often been there before me, and they had not covered it, and papers was hanging in the bushes. When my wife and I retired we bought a camperwan with toilett and shover and so one. Not much bigger than yours, 5,99 m long.

Some if the oldest buildings in Tasmania are at the penal settlement - build started in 1833. Its hard to imagine older. Another great explorational trip, thanks to you both. Sometimes in urban/city areas in New Zealand, you can park/sleep overnight in carparks attached to businesses like supermarkets, but it requires you talk to their Security or Store Management for permission (usually given) but requires that you are fully legally self-contained (your own toilet), and usually required you begone when store opens first thing. It can be helpful in emergency situations, but would not make a regular habit of it. Good luck and stay safe. Kia Ora. 💜💜

@@LifeistooshortCK Thanks to you both. Although NZ has a very small population and is 6th larger land area than the UK, the current legislation/rules for 'Certified Self Contained' (CSC) are set to become law in July 2023 [I would expect in time, similar rules may appear in other countries]. "Under the proposed changes, 'people' (rule actually says 'members', referring to NZMCA) who own vehicles without fixed toilets will be unable to freedom (like 'wild camping' elsewhere) camp on public land which is restricted to certified self-contained vehicles only (vehicles with fixed permanent toilets)." The only alternative choice will be Camping Grounds (govt & private) where you pay fees. I believe there may be a 2-year stand down period, allowing people to change their 'toilet' from portaloo type to a built-in one. The world we live in...!! 💜💜 Happy travels. Kia Ora.

The greywatertank is isolated and oppvarmed. 85 cm parabol, and you name it. It is a propper home away from home. We can live in the van summer and winter. We even bring our cat, she is having her own toalett. We are not in good helth, buth we enjoy life and freedom after all. Why I mention toilett so often is the fakt that norwegians often have their own well, and often not so long from the road. an if they find someone doing their thing, well some are able to beat up the "working guy". its a bit of a mixed bag, in the past 15 years some geniuses decided that we should run the health service like if it was 6000 different small companies which should all make a profit. Result: massive reduction in beds, massive increase in administration, worse service specially for conditions that are "unprofitable" to treat. Compensation rewarded to the hospital/department for a given treatment doesn't always make any sense, eg birthcare gets under-compensated a lot compared to the costs, so the service have declined *a lot*.
It's rather silly when one department at a hospital can't just go and loan a nurse from another department for 5 minutes if needed, but have to spend 30+ minutes filling out paperwork, writing up a bill afterwards etc.

If you look at the milk boxes (and other products) you'll see that they're stamped with "best før but still good after (some date)"
