Purchased by the Town of Oakville, Hixon Park is located at the corner of Hixon Street and Nyla Court and will be complimented by 14 new residential lots. The Park includes shade trees, shade shelter, half basketball court, a variety of seating, junior and senior playgrounds, ornamental planting, irrigation, grading (swales, catchbasins), and park lighting. The design also incorporates the preservation of a large existing tree in the centre of the park that not only adds to the aesthetic quality of the park but provides much needed shade as well.
