  • This video explains how to mount an Aruba access point to a ceiling grid Cisco access point plate. This is not according to spec and is only posted for educational purposes but can get you out of a bind if you don't have the correct Aruba plate on hand. I would always recommend following manufacturer recommendations and use equipment designed to match.

This is not a tip. This is a hack on how to unsafely mount an AP on another vendors mounting bracket. Why don't you purchase the correct brackets and do it properly? Enterprise vendors spend a great deal of engineering cost to design safe mounting equipment. You describe how to by pass ALL Cisco features to ensure an AP is safely and securely mounted. The video you are looking for can be found here m.czcams.com/video/KMUXhcDbMQw/video.html The proper mounting kit is Aruba R3J18A. This kit can most likely be provided by your channel partners or online resources.

Thanks for the feedback. I get that this isn't the standard way to do it. That's the point. This is a work around for when you don't have the proper brackets.
