    Still learning which brushes work well on what surfaces with the Oreck, so these videos are _super_ helpful.
    I've been cleaning my Sister's coated garage with the orange brush and some Carpet Details.
    The Carpet Details is a nice formula, because it takes the same two scoops of powder for both carpet and concrete, so I can clean the garage with any leftover solution I have from other jobs.
    Anywho, I was initially afraid of scratching the epoxy, but it's been working _wonderfully._
    Only places I've needed to be sensitive around were areas where the coating was already cracking.
    Edit: I like how you used the brush as a driver for the giant pad - I've thought about doing that when the situation warrants it, and that makes me want to give it a try.
    Had the same idea when I saw the bigger OP machines that use brushes for their pad-drivers.

I was wondering what floor stripper you use? also would Grout smart, which is a hydrogen peroxide based cleaner work as the hydrogen peroxide cleaner, or what would u recommend? can u do this process without removing the wax from floors?

    Love your videos, thank you very much for your time and information on how you do such a good tile job. You have proved you can get great results with a polished. I want to ask you, I saw that you once made a wet vac into an extraction wand to remove water from indoor tile cleaning. My question is, how would you rate a MOSMATIC surface cleaner WITH vacuum port. So, you could basically clean tile and grout like a truck mount, as in hit the tiles with water from pressure water/gun and not get water everywhere, because the mosmatic would vacuum it out to a drain. Which technique would get better results 1 (scrubbing or pressure), and which method would be easier for the operator 2?

    With the chemicals that you use, what kind of risk do they pose to any nearby wood such as cabinets or flooring? I noticed you saying that you spray the tile more lightly by the wood flooring edges to reduce overflow. Is there anything that you do to protect them besides trying not spray too close? Do you neutralize them with the vinegar just in case? Do you wipe it down by hand with a clean cloth afterwards to remove chemicals? How much spray does the Oreck kick up onto cabinets and nearby floors? That’s the only part that has me nervous about doing this myself.
    Thanks for the videos that you have made! I find them very helpful.

    • @CarpetMuscleTV
      @CarpetMuscleTV  Před 3 lety

      It won’t hurt the wood, but at the same time it doesn’t seem reasonable to put the wood floor through the same treatment that the tile is getting if you can avoid it. The Oreck doesn’t kick up any cleaning solution. The bigger machines will. I recommend using the Oreck in small areas.

    Hi there thank you for the videos they are great. I was wondering if you could offer me some help cleaning my floor. I have a very textured porcelain tile floor in my kitchen. I bought the oreck orbiter with a blue brush and the brush seems to not even touch the dirt on the floor if I hold it in the same spot for a minute, where as if I take a small scrub brush and do it by hand the area some clean. Am I using the wrong brush, are the bristles to stiff? Should I use a green or black brush or any cleaner I can try out?

    • @CarpetMuscleTV
      @CarpetMuscleTV  Před 3 lety +2

      Change your cleaning solution to something stronger. Use zep floor stripper from Home Depot. Mix it 50/50 with water. This will dissolve whatever is on the floor.

    • @CarpetMuscleTV
      @CarpetMuscleTV  Před 3 lety

      @@jonathondenys6843 i tend to use the red brush the most. There is a chance that you may be trying to remove floor finish if it was mistakenly applied. Mop n glow is common. This will require the mix I mentioned and a black pad under the Oreck to remove more efficiently

    Is this just as effective as using a truck mount with a tile machine? I’m aware that set up would most likely be faster. But I’m curious if this would be a more budget friendly alternative to get into the tile and grout cleaning business. I’m getting ready to purchase an ETM set up for about $14k to do tile and grout, but I just ran into your video and this intrigued me very much. I’d love to see what you think. Thanks.

      He takes too much time cleaning with Oreck.Maybe do half the job and then remove dirty cleaner.Spraying dried cleaner with new cleaner is ridiculous.Invest in a smaller hard floor scrubber Karcher BR-30/4 and you can pick up cleaner with clean water.Sealing after this cleaning is a no brainer.No Vinegar !!!

    • @BUCKSHOTSTV
      @BUCKSHOTSTV Před měsícem

      @@dm7744 I’m not just doing tile and grout. I’m doing carpets, upholstery, wood floors, vct, laminate, and all that jazz. I did get that $14k set up, and I’ve made my investment back. At this point I’m now trying to grow my new business and focus on commercial contracts where I have recurring work rather than actively finding residential one off jobs. It’s going pretty good, but just not consistent enough to feel at ease. The 14k was a lot; and if I could’ve done it cheaper at first, I should have. I didn’t know much until after I got started, but now that I’ve gotten started and doing a lot of work in condos, I need to build up my vlm stuff to do those condos easier. I can’t run hoses into the condos because of height, and where I’m allowed to park. So I’m now working my way up to getting a Orbot Vibe. Now that I know more about the process of cleaning and the business, I really could’ve gotten started with a 175 and spent way less, but at the same time I secured a contract with a hotel because of the “show” I put on with the steam and the dirt just melting away in their halls. That definitely could’ve been a great job vlm but the owners were strictly wanting hwe, so I gave them what they wanted and made a nice pay check. Plus, tile and grout pays me really really good, so much so that I try not to do anything else because I have to work way more to make the same as tile & grout.

      You want to select a brush that the bristles stay erect. If it is too soft they bend and don’t agitate. If they are too stiff it’s ineffective. Red usually works best on tile and concrete.
