- This video is the first part of two. I explore some options for creating an Applique with Blanket Stitch and Satin Stitch and discuss the issues that might occur. It is done in V8 Designer Plus, but can be done in V9 Designer Plus also. It is rather long as I cover a number of options, but try to watch it all so that you will be able to consider all the options when you digitize.
In the next video I will cover creating cut work files so that you can use your cut work tool or cut work needles to cut multiples of the applique pieces. Here is the link to the next video. • Create applique pieces...
The quilt I based this lesson on is available here. I am in no way affiliated with this site. quiltingbookspatternsandnotio... - Jak na to + styl
Thank you Carol for sharing that. I was waiting for this one. You explained it well. Thank you again. Loved it.

Glad you liked it.
Very informative Carol. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Are you able to make SVG files in the software for cutting out with a Brother Scan n Cut?
Yes, if you have V9 Designer Plus it is quite easy. Watch this video czcams.com/video/P2shSQnbZms/video.html
If you have V8 Designer Plus this video might help. czcams.com/video/iRlyd_rMBIg/video.html
Hallo please show us how to digitize fringe - words
I will put it on my list.
Hallo please tell me I did a design a couple of years back. Size 26cm wide it is a bird and the wings and feathers is in satin stitch. Now the client want it 45cm wide and I did make it 45cm and the outlines was way off. What must i do? thank you
Is the outline not sitting on the edge, and if that is the case, is that happening in the software or when you stitch it?
When you have large designs, the pull from the stitches increases and so the objects do not stitch to the size of the digitizing. Increasing the pull compensation can help if the difference is not too much, but if that is not enough to fix it you need to reshape the objects to compensate for the pull. This video will explain that in more detail. czcams.com/video/pUzG8YwxnTs/video.html
If this is not your problem then can you give me some more detail please? How did you enlarge the design, and what do you mean the outline is way off?
@@CarolUndy thank you I will do the changes
