What happens if you add a flycatcher to a red soldier bug's terrarium?

  • Hey, guys! As you may remember we’ve made a terrarium for the red soldier bugs (Pyrrhocoris apterus). They need literally two weeks to breed. There was already the first clutch of eggs after three days, and after 15 days the little insect family successors appeared.

You definitely should add some soil for them. I noticed they like to bury themselves at night.

The flytrap will keep their population at medium but you should feed the soldiers some small bugs like crickets

i wonder, what if one would put soil and moderately quickly reproducing plants into a glass container, let those plants take over, and then place a population of firebugs into that container. i'm curious if the bugs would just eat all the plants and die or would they survive.

Those soldier bugs are called assassin bugs where I live and they eat insects

Are you removing dead bugs from the colony or they can stay there? I'm trying to asses how much work there is to keep them
