How is that possible? My French isn't even at A1 but I understood every single word written in the miniature. But if I heard it spoken I would've probably understood nothing :-)

"Listen several times. Read the transcript. If there are any words you don't understand, look them up or invoke subtitles on CZcams. Then, auto-translate to English to learn any new words.
"Écoute plusieurs fois. Lis la transcription. Si tu ne comprends pas certains mots, cherche-les ou active les sous-titres sur CZcams. Ensuite, traduis automatiquement en anglais pour apprendre de nouveaux mots."

@@MRUK330 I do understand a lot of what is written, the same goes with Russian, though they use their Cyrillic alphabet. I also know the differences between the spelling and pronunciation in French, when to use elision, etc. Nevertheless, it's too little to be able to speak & understand the spoken language(s).
