I love how they made the spawn point of the Legendary Elk near Arthur’s gravesite on the map because that’s his high honor spirit animal. Such great attention to detail.

Pro tip:
*Legendary* animals can't be ruined. Blow them up with Dynamite arrows for a guaranteed kill.

Displaying the full map then zooming in to the general legendary animal locale in my opinion would've, increased the overall visual location narrative significantly ~ in any case I do thank you for the brief clarity of legendary animal information and data.

Poisoned throwing knife never fails
Shoot the vital organs not the head. Notice in the video that every time he shoots the vital organs on the second or third shot, it dies then and only then. Not saying it won’t die to a headshot, just a timesaver
Because he usually shoots the head first and then the body, you've already done most damage to the creature.
Gabriel Romero I’ve tested this out in the game myself, and vital shots are the only ones that consistently kill in one shot.
@@detroitdave3505 The only animal that i haven't killed yet is the Giaguaro panther, i'll give your theory a go and see how it turns out.

pump action shotgun with explosive ammo... no deadeye needed, one shots everything
Anybody still completing this PLEASE use a bow with improved arrows it one shots almost every legendary animal if you shoot it in the neck or head and it has good range if you use dead eye it will save you so much running after the animal and save ammo plus the improved arrows only cost a arrow and flight feather
Or just shotgun it to death
Id sah some of the most fun ones are the bear, wolf , panther the elk , moose the moose i thought was my favorite because i thought the pelt loomed really nice

Yeah I killed the legendary bear with the Springfield rifle and express rounds in chapter 2
So I'm new to this game. I haven't hunted the bear or any from chapter 2. Now I am in chapter 3 with wanted all over the map so is there still time to hunt before the end? and if not how do I hunt without the law chasing me?
I stumbled upon and took down the legendary white bison in chapter 2 with just my bow, lol. It took me like 5 or 6 shots but eventually he went down. And after that it got stuck in the water and had to reload the auto-save to be able to skin it haha :P
ALL_IN happen to me but the bison went down at the bottom of the river and couldn’t get the skin 😭😭
I did the exact same thing but it was right after I got the Arabian and I lost it but I got it again later
I’m pretty sure you can bait out some of the more difficult legendary animals when you find all the clues

Whe I was hunting down the Legendary Ram, I thought I saw it and shot it, but it was a Mountain Ram. XD
PSA: don't skin 'em and/or make a manual save before you fight animal. I forever lost my Buck Antler due to some stupid glitch getting stuck INSIDE my horse and lost it when I died.

I don’t use dead eye
I use explosive ammo on the Legendary animals and it works great. You cannot hurt the Legendary pelts.
you dont need to fully upgrade dead eye. level 2 upgrade is more than enough. Just get semi auto shot gun. get slug ammo or craft incendiary Buckshot. they will die like flies.
Go into ur map look for the question mark it’s the first clue to track & no if you die just sleep in game and wait awhile should there
improved arrows will kill the all animals if they are headshoted. use the spawning of the animals to your advantage!
Do trinkets 1st ;)
Then do the gunfighter's!

Bruh i shot the bison and it ran into the frozen lake and died smack in the middle of the water, couldn't skin it

When I’m hunting legendary animals I use a Lancaster then just tag it in dead eye for the entire clip into him

for legendary animals I always use the repeating shotgun, the carcano rifle, and a bow
It’s really easy to aim dead eye lvl 4 is not needed but it’s nice too have
Umm when you say you can kill them in any way, you actually can't use a fire bottle I tried and the skin burnt and I couldn't skin it or get the other rewards
Ok here’s a tip, you don’t need level 4 dead eye you can kill any legendary animal whenever you want just get far away from the legendary animal and open deadeye and spam at its head easy kill

Things that trigger me when people hunt legendarys
.They don't study them
.They skin them but do not use the other parts of the animals body's (if there a coyote or buck)
.THE F***** ANIMAL GETS A-F***** AWAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T USE THEIR BLOODY DEAD EYE COME ON PEOPLE ITS NOT THAT HARD!

One question guys, when do the legendary animals become available? I have cleared most of the map and the only 2 animals that appeared on my map, were 2 fishes. Keep in mind I havent done any mission yet in chapter 2
Try going to the trapper to sell the pelts

There are thirteen fish you can catch out of mission. The legendary channel catfish doesn't exist though....
A couple days ago some one left a legendary sun gator on the ground so I went over to is to skin it and some one delt so much damage to it I couldn't skin it and It just sat there

Has anyone else had issues with the Alligator Talisman never being available to equip?
I finished the Cigarette Cards (Handcuffs), looted the Gold Bracelet off a body, and killed the Gator, so I have the equipment...
I was able to purchase/craft the Talisman at a Fence, but whenever I go over to the Talisman menu to equip it, it's greyed out at all times. No check mark.

I was hunting the elk as I was coming over the hill to aim at it when I tried to aim I guess my horse that was right by it spooked it to death or it had a heart attack dropped dead no shots needed🤣🤣

You can also use a bow with improved arrow. One shot in the head. It’s how I killed the legendary Ram

For the bear I just stayed there and then I killed it without going back to camp
Bruh when i used i sniper to kill the legendary gator I literally ran out of deadeye then got chased by the gator luckily I hop over a fence which the gator can’t go to then I finish it of with dual wield revolvers

I sold both legendary buck and legendary ram but the game counted it as 2 legendary buck and it says I already killed the ram so I can’t get another one? Is there a way to fix the glitch?

When you skin a Legendary animal, you will get everything it has that can be used to craft Clothing, Talismans, or Trinkets.

Just use a repeating shotgun it will 2 shot just about every time kill every legendary animal. Also you don't need dead eye

Im sure you've figured out by now but you unlock the gator after a mission in chapter 4 and the panther after doing all master hunter challengers
You can use fire arrows and kill everything using dead eye and one head shot bruh
Where’s the fun in hunting them if you just kill them in 2 shots, listen if you want to have fun don’t use a sniper use a revolver because that is fun as hell
