- Ok, so I have to confess that I really had no idea St. Kitts even existed until I took this cruise. Let me just tell you that St. Kitts is highly under-rated. It has so much to offer!. The landscape and lush green mountains are unreal. I didn't even get to see Nevis but the Island was beautiful.
St. Kitts is famous for it's Green Monkeys. Originally brought over during the 17th and 18th centuries as pets by the British and French. Then set free into the jungles. Unfortunately the relationship between humans and monkeys on the island is not so great. The monkeys are kind of a nuisance and get into everything.
Personally I loved the monkeys and got my photo taken with one. He was so tame and friendly. Yeah I know someone is going to throw some hateful comments about animal rights while petting their dog on their lap but whatever.

Yes its so historic, lush, and tropical. Great tourist spot with rum punch shack and zip lines.

The plantation was nice I admit, but didn't even visit the Fort. Eh........lame tour.
I'm assuming you were on a cruise, at which point, I'm amazed that you thought you'd be able to squeeze in Nevis. This is why I avoid cruises. These islands deserve a proper visit.

So how was St Kitts. I want to visit this island. I looks beautiful. And it's true what you said, it does look lush.
I really liked St. Kitts. Great people and good variety of beach. More of an emerald green water and coral vs white color sand. I wish I would have had time to visit Nevis. But wow lush green island. The monkeys are amazing.
