My ode to the superb, just released IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Bodenplatte, which features the Western Front air battles of late WWII.
Includes high fidelity recreations of the P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51D Mustang, Hawker Tempest Mk. V, Spitfire Mk. IX, Bf 109 G-14, Bf 109 K-4, Fw 190 A-8, and Me 262 with the P-38J Lightning and Fw 109D "Dora" available for additional purchase. - Hry
Awesome video, really cool edit and overview of the entire fleet, the scene-matics were splendid, having these shots like mini stories is something I wish more people would do plus with the music it added even more mood to its settings.
Classical music just goes way better with this sort of stuff from the 30's/40's 👍🏻
Awesome video.The scene showing the the 262's bouncing the bombers really showed how fast this early jets were at the time.Also, the scene with the bomb skidding over that jet and knocking the pilot unconscious is one the best ways to show the new physiology effects.What a lucky occurence.

I truly enjoyed this video. I am a big fan of IL2 starting with COD then BOS , BOK now BOB. Bodenplatte quickly became my favorite.

As other also mentioned, the first and second music track is Bedřich Smetana's Vltava, which main melody is inspired by an old Jewish song (which name unfortunatelly I can't recall).

For me Bedřich Smetana is a popular composer, probably also because it is Czech like me. I was also born in Prague a few meters from the Moldau River, which is the name of the whole song. Greetings from the Czech Republic !!

What's the minimum level of Nvidia card will run this game at 60 fps with max settings? I have a newish computer with a Ryzen processor but a rather old 650TI B graphics card carried over from my old computer.

The fw 190 scene really hit me emotionally I really can’t describe why it’s probably the fact of seeing the once mighty Luftwaffe reduced to a shadow of its former self like a candle running out of wax as it begins to flicker and fade into darkness in the final months of the war (one final dance)

@@mattthacker4122 that’s my exact reasoning I’m not sympathising with the ideology of national socialism I’m just observing the fall of the once mighty Luftwaffe in the latter stages of the war it’s rather humbling if you ask me
@@mattthacker4122 I find it odd you find it hard to find sympathy for the Luftwaffe(most of the regular German military were not Nazis) when the Red Army was also the arm of a war criminal and authoritarian. Russian war crimes were only forgiven because Stalin was useful to the Allies.
Or maybe the RAF that was guilty of warcrime throughout the entire war(carpet bombing German cities to kill as many civilians as possible even if they had no military significance. 43k British civilians died in the entirety of the Blitz. 50k Germans died IN A SINGLE BOMBING. Estimates range from 353k to 653k Germans killed in RAF bombings throughout the war. And the RAF specifically focused on killing as many civilians as possible #warcrimes.
Bodenplatte was in winter, this seems the last dogfights over Europe Spring 45!!!
Correct observation. The Bodenplatte expansion included new maps that have several seasons, not just winter. But Operation Bodenplatte by the Luftwaffe took place on New Year's Day 1945, as you apparently know.

The Music is not Brahms 'Ein Deutsches Requiem'. Its 'the Moldau' from Smetanas 'my Fatherland'.
It is Brahms from 15:04 onwards.
It is Smetana in the beginning.
