Can confirm. As an X fan, every single video has some sort of “fake fans wont find us here” and even where people aren’t talking about X they’ll drag him into it just to talk about him. You just can’t get away from them and they won’t stop with how long they’ve known his music and how good he is
If a fanbase changes your opinion of an artist or music that's just stupid imo. And if a fanbase is the only thing keeping you from being into an artist all you have to do is just not associate with them. It's not hard
Well it’s kind of hard to do for certain artists for example I like mcr, fall out boy and p!atd and I get jugged instantly by people that aren’t into those artists because of the fanbases same thing for me happens to metal (especially the metalcore and deathcore shit I like).
The annoying fan base thing works for anything really. Comics, movies, TV shows and etc. etc. The prime example is Rick and Morty. Rick and Morty is a really good show BUT sometime last year a portion of the fan base turned into a cringe zone beyond belief so people used the fan base as a reason as to why the show "sucked" or why they just can't get into it which is bullshit.
Death Grips fans aren't annoying because they over praise the artist. It's the memeing that distracts from having good conversations about their music. Also, makes liking their music seem less genuine to outsiders looking in.
I might be crazy but I've never understood this. Why would you joke about something you care about? Don't you take DG seriously? Do you like their music or not? I would get it if they were making jokes that were clever, but they are literally just quoting lyrics as if they're jokes. (IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES, NOIDED) Like how do you reconcile those two things? lol
Jacob's Nerdy Corner I Like their older stuff don't get me wrong but they reached lyrical pretentiousness that was almost cringe worthy and the music got kinda dull, origin of symmetry isn't perfection but its a good album in my opinion
@Copypastarino Kripperino Well yes. Their music was ment to be taken seriously before 2005. After all most of the stuff was pretty dark. Not just goofing around like every new Muse fan claims Muse´s music is about. And to say that their music isn´t serious on their first three albums, is an insult.
A shakie space the music is so solid but women in their 20’s still wetting their pants when their bias shows a nipple so they all come across as repressed children but they turn into psychopaths the moment you say you don’t like their group lmfaaaao
I'll back that, Matt's got great technique. Just listen to him play the intro of Voodoo Child to introduce Supermassive Black Hole. The dude's got feel in his playing, it just catches you off guard because all he plays is neoclassical melodies, which have ZERO feel.
Alright I'll give you that Muse's last few albums aren't great but when did all this general Muse hate come about? OOS, Absolution and BHAR were great albums that were liked at the time. It's like saying Pink Floyd is a bad band because they sucked in the 80's.
Rydera81 Non-fans tend to dislike them for apparent lyrical pretentiousness (they can get political on later records), their self-serious take on progressive, alternative and stadium stereotypes, their over-the-top presentation, and Matt's over-singing, especially in his high falsetto range. However, I'm gonna side with Muse on this one. I think Muse are a creative and interesting band. I like their colorful alternative style, their imaginative musicianship, their technically well-constructed and effective melodies, and Matt Bellamy's passionate tenor vocals. Their albums from 2001 - 2009 are excellent and kick major ass, especially Black Holes and Revelations. Plus they're a great live band.
And when new Muse fans are arguing that Muse is about being over the top, making tastless music, because that is mostly what they have been doing these last years (with exceptions) Is like new Pink Floyed fans would say Pink Floyed is about what they made in the 80´s. Stop comparing them to their glory days when they were actually making great music.. I know it isn´t really relevant to what you said. I just wanted to put it out there. Because that is the view I feel like the new Muse fans have on the band.
TooGreat4Words Nah, a fair amount of ems fans that I’ve seen have a fair knowledge of hip hop, and don’t even rank eminem as the best. Plus he’s mainstream, and fans of mainstream artists are generally cancerous and only listen to that particular artist.
Agreed on basically everything apart from the last bit on metalcore - there’s a bunch of underground metalcore today that isn’t yknow, naive and angsty but aesthetically great. Renounced from here in London spring to mind!
I agree with the comment about early Muse being good. I absolutely adore their discography through Black Holes. However, they lost me with The Resistance and the one after.
Atrocity exhibition is a record best heard on ear buds digitally. You get effects of his voices going into one ear and then coming around behind you to the other ear, as if he's performing through a floating hologram, right where you are. You get this effect on when it rain and it adds to the creepiness of the track and it sounds really cool.
RezzyDevil101 he's gonna be 80 and collapse on the street from a heartattack and the only witness will just lean down as he's dying and say "you gave damn a 7 so god gave you a 0"
About the comment on the emo revival. I pretty much agree. Some bands i think are very original and distinct are Great Grandpa, Citizen, Sorority Noise, teensuicide, and The Frights
You should do a Madness Bracket for an alternative or rock artist like Radiohead or Modest Mouse or something. Try to switch it up from all the hip hop/rap
So many, and I mean SOOOOOOOO many girls in my school are either fan girls of Ariana Grande or of BTS (both of which I do not like as artists), and they became so annoying I, an extrovert, started talking to the quiet girls instead. I could actually kind of listen to Ariana Grande in the mid 2010’s, until they ruined it for me and now I hate Ariana Grande with my damn core.
To me, an annoying fan base is one that allows traditional trash to chart. Acts that sound like they are drunk and mentally ill at the same time are now charting. That charting makes me suffer when I go to the mall or is put on hold.
I think music is also a journey of what you have heard, where you are and what you are about right now. Mr. Fantano is on a journey of a really wide long road with tons of genres of music and a whole lot of albums journeyed through. He has a very different prespective because of this. No one has to accept his opinions but you've got to respect that he's devoted a tremendous amount of time to listening, understanding and getting know artists and genres. IMHO these rabid die hard fans are on a narrow track of music that are either looking for more of the same or have stopped their journey and decided that they have found the best shit without really looking outside of what they like.
AblazeSky yeah and reddit is getting even lamer by the day just this week they banned subs that discuss certain drugs and even banned subs for things that are legal like some of the homecrafted beer subs and kratom vendor subs (if anyone here even knows what kratom is) and shit like that . some people might not give a shit but I'm kinda druggie so this shit matters to me lol.. plus they start banning one thing who knows what they'll ban next.
which to me sound like really not very well put out criticism. I do not like Muse right now.. I haven't like them since The 2nd Law... but the early stuff to me was always good, even despite sounding like Radiohead.... as if they were the only ones that did at that time... and as if they are the only band that sounds like another previous band.
whats wrong about having influences in music. Is the criticism really that they sound similar to other bands, wow guess I should stop listening to 99.99999999% of anything. The statement "made something with no heart" is a completely blanket statement, and is also subjective.
a.m. remorse I disagree, Buckley influenced both and Muse was influenced by radiohead in the debut (Showbiz). Muse progressed a lot thorought their discography (mostly their earlier stuff) and they took their influences in order to create the band essence, that's it, Muse followed a different way. Greetings from Spain
bro orgins is not even in my top 10. Also i'm completely open minded, my stance is using the same "vocal approach" as someone else isn't really a bad thing. I mean i'm sure you're not a fan of these genres but using that logic 99.99% of black and death metal bands would fall under these categories. My point is I don't think a band should be judged solely on the vocal style but how it's executed. But seriously how can u listen to a song like micro cuts and not even be a bit impressed

Can confirm. As an X fan, every single video has some sort of “fake fans wont find us here” and even where people aren’t talking about X they’ll drag him into it just to talk about him. You just can’t get away from them and they won’t stop with how long they’ve known his music and how good he is

Imo nothing can truly ruin the music other than it being straight-up bad. Music is audio, not a game of who can be the coolest.
Super Duper Murph -gringo- uhhh I mean bingo.
If a fanbase changes your opinion of an artist or music that's just stupid imo. And if a fanbase is the only thing keeping you from being into an artist all you have to do is just not associate with them. It's not hard
Or kpop fans

EXACTLY
Wanna talk about toxic fanbase with that Yuji nagata pfp😂 but really though, Pro wrestling has the worst fanbase in all forms of entertainment
2Pac has the worst fanbase
Death Grips fans aren't annoying because they over praise the artist. It's the memeing that distracts from having good conversations about their music. Also, makes liking their music seem less genuine to outsiders looking in.
People don't like memester fanbases because they don't know the memes.
I might be crazy but I've never understood this. Why would you joke about something you care about? Don't you take DG seriously? Do you like their music or not? I would get it if they were making jokes that were clever, but they are literally just quoting lyrics as if they're jokes.
(IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES, NOIDED)
Like how do you reconcile those two things? lol
Sad Giraffe Jokes are jokes, dude. If you can't take a joke about an album or artist you like, you just can't take jokes
They're good memes, don't get me wrong. But, too much of a good thing can be bad, and in this scenario it is.

Jacob's Nerdy Corner
I Like their older stuff don't get me wrong but they reached lyrical pretentiousness that was almost cringe worthy and the music got kinda dull, origin of symmetry isn't perfection but its a good album in my opinion
Also their older b sides are cool and fun to give a listen
@Copypastarino Kripperino this blatant insult cant be called an insult because this serious music isnt serious
I remember listening to them when I was 12 but that was yesterday and today is today

I'll back that, Matt's got great technique. Just listen to him play the intro of Voodoo Child to introduce Supermassive Black Hole. The dude's got feel in his playing, it just catches you off guard because all he plays is neoclassical melodies, which have ZERO feel.
Hey It’s howtobasic
Alan Cortes hey, it's Mr. Hilarious and Original
Rydera81 oh my god did you just dis Division Bell?
Meh, It's one of those 4/10 records.
Yilmas VEVO division bells was 90s so no. He dissed the final cut and a momentary lapse of reason.

I agree with the comment about early Muse being good. I absolutely adore their discography through Black Holes. However, they lost me with The Resistance and the one after.
Atrocity exhibition is a record best heard on ear buds digitally.

That the weeknd take tho👀
Annoying fan bases don't ruin artists, but they do ruin music reviewers in my opinion.
To me, an annoying fan base is one that allows traditional trash to chart. Acts that sound like they are drunk and mentally ill at the same time are now charting. That charting makes me suffer when I go to the mall or is put on hold.

Albin Lundholm Hate to burst your bubble, but Newsome and Crimson King are on Apple Music. Beefheart isn't, though.

Everybody like to hate on Muse, even their earlier stuff... no one cares to explain to me why though.
honestly its just one giant circlejerk of hate; i.e early muse sounds too much like radiohead so fuck em, new muse sounds like garbage just because
which to me sound like really not very well put out criticism. I do not like Muse right now.. I haven't like them since The 2nd Law... but the early stuff to me was always good, even despite sounding like Radiohead.... as if they were the only ones that did at that time... and as if they are the only band that sounds like another previous band.
The intro of this video reminds me of “all stripped down” from Tom Waits’ “Bone Machine”
Never thought about that metalcore comment you made. Thanks :)
Origin of Symmetry is one of the best and most inventively written alternative rock albums though.
why does everyone hate muse on this channel. I also haven't heard any arguments against them other then "they suck".
whats wrong about having influences in music.
Greetings from Spain
give me an example, point to a song;cause this isn't getting anywhere.
bro orgins is not even in my top 10.
The intro sounds like the brains of the Shaggs being turned into a MIDI file with a high tech device that turns your brain into sounds
