My favorite thing about the snail problem is that it doesn't take much movement to delay the snail a whole day so if you want to stay where you are all you need is to travel about 10 miles every day so like just go to work then come back assuming the snail always takes the straightest line to you it will never catch up. Although if we assume the snail is smart and know where it can go to cut you off then it becomes more of a dilemma if the snail could just travel somewhere it knows you have to go then it can really cause problems and possibly actually be fatal to someone who isn't extremely careful.

Just casually one of Adventure Time's many relatable moments. When he says this I can almost see and feel talking to all the family members whose names I don't remember at Thanksgiving
My favorite thing about the snail problem is that it doesn't take much movement to delay the snail a whole day so if you want to stay where you are all you need is to travel about 10 miles every day so like just go to work then come back assuming the snail always takes the straightest line to you it will never catch up. Although if we assume the snail is smart and know where it can go to cut you off then it becomes more of a dilemma if the snail could just travel somewhere it knows you have to go then it can really cause problems and possibly actually be fatal to someone who isn't extremely careful.

It’s a psychosomatic thing. The snail only has to BELIEVE it touched you. However the snail is an incarnation of death, and thus is very fair. But the clothes would probably count if YOU in the moment think that they might count.
