This is a great video! It gave me lots of great ideas! I’m a fiber laser laser distributor/technician. I might have to sneak a couple of these brackets in as “test cuts” on the next machine I fix!
Great fit and finish on the rack. Making me want to learn to weld.
its great loved to see more gym equipment builds
Great video! Looking forward to your gym series!
Thank you good sir!
The best DIY power rack on CZcams!
Hi Jeff, thank you so much! It means a lot to me.
Great work! Thanks for sharing
Osssummmmmm, as an Engineer I really appreciate your workmanship which is so precise and pleasing to watch
great work there. keep it up!
Looking forward to the lat pull down system. Let us know when we can expect that.
You have GREAT taste in music!
Great work! Bravo!
Thank you very much! Fazekas
Great build man!
Thank you so much Darwin!
Looks professional
Good job man!!!!
Looks great.
I really want to build one, but steel is so high. It's actually cheaper to buy one premade, but I still want to build my own for the experience and pride.
thanks for this video guide dude, i'm working on my rack now
Amazing job here ! Keep going ✌🏻
Great job buddy.
The prices of metal are looking pretty good over here (my estimate is about the same as the price you listed it'll be exponentially cheaper than premade structures) at the moment so I'm gonna try this out potentially with more bolts and nuts than welds (at least initially because I'm going to move soon.)
Thats great! Thank you for your comment and good luck on your project!
approximately how much weight could this hold? solid build by the way. I usually see wood power tracks do a metal one is a nice change
good work, waiting for that pulldown extension.
Thank you! I will get to that soon. I'm currently bombarded with school work :(
wooow ! great wooork !
Thank you very much!
Te quedó con madre bro😎
Did you ever build the lat pull-down for this? Awesome video I’m going to get started on it once it warms up
Great video dude
good stuff man!
Thank you for you kind words!
Great... Subscribed
Great job 👏🏼 … by chance do you mind sharing the schematics for this
Nice job. I'd add more holes at some point
Great channel 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
At the end of the video he said the total cost was $150… Are you kidding me. That’s amazing and at the same time in raging because big brand stores sell the same thing for $1000 online. This makes me excited and at the same time it pisses me off. Do you have earned my subscription and I will definitely be attempting to myself in the future
he's using 16 gauge which thin compared to gym equipement that uses more expensive 12 gauge or 11 gauge steel
tho that's not the only reason.
Am subscribed!
Love this video thank you can you make jammers arms next please your videos are very detailed I like that 🔥💯🔥🥰
Hi there, that's such a good idea! I will definitely be considering that. Thank you
Great
Steel is cheaper in Australia than appropriate timber posts. It's crazy to think I can weld a rack which will be stronger and last longer for less.
Great 💯💯♨️✔️👍
awesome video!!! very informative!!!! What size of square tubes did you use???
sorry I just noticed the size at the end of the video!!!! Again Congratulations :D
Would you advice commissioning this to a smith or buying one pre-manufactured? I live in Mexico and there are really few options and IMO a bit expensive for the quality (like in the US those go for $300 and in Mexico the same rack goes for around 13,000 pesos which would roughly translate to $700). On the other hand I know a smith that lives close to my house and has done good works so far, so I’m thinking on asking if he can build the rack but though it was a super crazy idea until I saw this video
Hi, awesome work!! Do you have a cut list PDF diagram?
Great video. I wanna make one like this, can u please provide me some guidance?
Great job bro! Spanish subtitles pls ):
Very kool
Thank you!
Keep up the good work, I'm already on the power rack. I like the way you explain and the way you work.
Do you think you can put the measurements in cm or mm please? For us Europeans it is harder with inches.
Hello Stefan! Thank you for your comment and yes I will consider on adding plans with the metric system!
@@thebackyardmaker1214 I am from India and poor.
So can you please tell me how much kg steel required total to build up these.
Also measurements.
I am remained dwarf as in my childhood I don't had anything for hanging 😭
Great video. what type of welding machine and what type of rod to be use? I want to learn how to weld rack with your help please.
Wow, that is a sharp power rack. Just a few questions I have, how much static weight can the rack handle, what are the dimensions of the uprights and what gauge steels are the uprights of the rack?
Thanks for sharing.
It will definitely handle more than you will ever need
Chainsaw oil works better than WD40 for drilling. Just FYI.
What is the size of the holes for the rack
Wow. Great. Sell the plans?
can this be made with wood as a substitute?, for the main structure atleast not the connecting parts
Super
what is the total weight? how many days you have spend to make this?
I want to make this. But I don’t have any welding gears. 🤔
Waterproof material? Galvanized? Safe for rainy season? Please answer
👌💪🏽✅😎
Thickness of the Square pipe
it is 2in square tubing, 16gauge. Holds up pretty good and is very sturdy so far
Materials list 10:46
Could you share those schematics?
bro what is Diameter of the iron?
First to like and comment!
great video! Would you be willing to share your design so I can use it as a reference to build mine?
Of course! I will be uploading a set of plans soon to make it easy to follow.
@@thebackyardmaker1214 that's awesome! Thanks
@@thebackyardmaker1214 following on the plans. I will also use them for building my own rack if you agree
I have all these tools in my shop and could make a power rack also. I work metal and never realized how easy it would be to make one of these
I need a back yard first
Where we can file the 3d model?
What's the size of the tubular you used?
Hi Christian, I mostly used 2in by 2in 16 gauge mild steel. The length of the stock square tubing was 10ft long and I got it from a local metal supply.
How much does it cost for making
hey. what kind of welding machine is that?
Hi there, thank you for your commment. It is a Vulcan omnipro 220 from good ol harbor freight lol. I am running it on 220v and it does great welds.
Nice. Can you let me know the settings of the wellding machine? I wana use ure tutorrial and give it a try in making my own
any reason u didnt apply washers to the bolts ? looked like the metal was bending in a bit after tightening, maybe manufacturers have to provide them as part of a safety sellers guidlines in accordance to the governments etc but maybe overkill, i dunno
You're absolutely correct! The metal did bend a little and i ended up using flat washers in the end! Lol. Other than that, even without the washers, it was still holding on great.
@@thebackyardmaker1214 good to hear , international i assume the nuts and bolts and washers would be closest to m10 size ?
good job and skills ,but dont use Wd40 ... use GT85 as its an actual lube , wd40 will dry out metals and draw water towards it after application, i cringe when people spray their bike chains and other tools with that crap !
I totally agree with you! Yet, that's all I had at the time being :( And yes, do not use wd-40 on any chains! Thank you for your suggestion aswell!
can i know what Software is this used to design please
Hi there, thank you for your comment. I use Google sketch up to create most of my drawings. It's very quick and easy
Can you send to me the project? Tks
Total weight??
What is x4 please Tel me
plans not found
That was great. Doesn’t look homemade at all.
Say. No. More.
Great skills mate well done. But for double what you paid for materials you can buy a comercial one and save days of work. So for me it doesn't make sense.
