- Noor Zora arts group performs Giddha at weddings, and other functions. These are men who dress up as women to perform the quintessential Punjabi dance. In this film we get to know their reasons to perform the way they do.
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਚ ਭੰਗੜਾ ਝੂਮਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮਲਵਈ ਗਿੱਧਾ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਨੂਰ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਆਰਟਸ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਆਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਾਲ਼ਾ ਗਿੱਧਾ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਾਂਗੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ।

Noor is highly educated and such a professional human being i can never forget my 3rd year of graduation. I was so lucky to learn from noor ji and the cutest crystal. Best days of my life. In April 2013, I had engaged Zora bai for my son's wedding reception. The team mesmerised all the guests with it's extra ordinary performance. They enjoyed so much that quite a few guests asked me from where I had arranged them. It was a memorable performance for all.

I always watch your video whenever I come across it. Living in the countries abroad, peoplee like yourself who feel a woman trapped in side them, they get all the help and can change to being a woman or a man totally. No one questions them and they work like others.
But in your case it is not a matter of feeling like a woman it is more like being a performer ,whether it is a woman's role or a man's role. You have a passion for gidha and the best way to perform gidha is being a woman.
This is the first time I saw you as a man. So you only dress up as a woman when you aree performing. How do you feel when you are not performing? Wish you best of luck whichever way you choose to live. You are a nice human and that is what counts.
