Communism works when everyone stops being a bunch of selfish bastards, and agree to put in an equal amount of work for an equal share. Of course, it won't work because there will always be some who want more than others, or corrupt leaders who twist and pervert the ideology to suit their own ends. The latter of which can happen in any type of society
Peter that's just against human nature. People like to be better than others, it's what gives our species the drive it has. What's the point in being a banker when a shopping assistant is treated the exact same way as you. When there is no chance in rising up in the world people will get frustrated and leave.

*Opinion*: Although I would prefer capitalism as I do enjoy having my own unique life from others, for example, I'd love a Mitsubishi Evo X, not everyone wants a Evo X, in a capitalistic society I wont get held back. (Mundane and very basic example I know, still relevant)
