    Thank you very much! All seems well now... took us two minutes to get front panel off... 30 secs to get the filter out and emptied... no weeks-long wait for a repair person and no trying to figure out who can be at home to answer the door, and no wondering how to pay for said repair person!

    The pulley of my HE3 washing machine is still loose even though the center bolt is already tight. What could be the problem? I think the bearings are still fine, as there's still resistance whenever the tub is manually turned.

    A lot of these use Torx T-20 screws almost everywhere. The alternative is a metric socket, possibly a 5.5 or 6 mm. I use a magnetized T-20 Torx driver to keep from losing the screws. Without the proper Torx driver or socket, it would be very hard to do this with other tools.

      I had that same issue with water sitting/standing around the rubber boot after the wash ended. There are 5 little slots in the boot. Pull it back to see them. Use a tooth pick or other tool to clean out those drain holes. Once i did that... no more standing water around the boot. Easy and cheap. Add it to your monthly / quarterly maintenence checklist and you'll be good on the future. Usually too much fabric softener and hair out other debris will clog it over time.

      I would remove the dispenser and clean it out . When you pull it forward it stops. You will have to use a screwdriver to press down on the release tab on the top of the tray to fully remove the drawer. You can run water in the tray and make sure the water comes out the hole at the back of the tray. From there the water goes through a hose at the back of the housing and into the front of the outer tub. You can pour a little water in the housing to make sure it is flowing into the tub.

    I have the similar whirlpool washer, first, we found there is some water leaking on the floor, then, I checked inside, I found the seal/bellow has some splits on it, when I put the duct tapes on it, it seems ok, but after few times, all the seal/bellow has a lot of holes, it seems erosive and broken.
    I think we need to find someone to replace the seal, why this happen?
    the seal become thinner and thinner and finally become splits and holes.

    I have cleaned most of it, but there seems to be another coin, that is blocking the pipe. It feels like it is standing up, but I can't get it out of there.

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  Před 10 lety

      m haymer You can look in the front in-between the inner tub and front cover. If you can’t find anything lift the inner tub up and down to see if there is a lot of play. If the tub moves a lot up and down the rear bearings may be bad causing the tub to hit the rubber seal in the front. You will also notice more noise in the spin cycle.

    I have a Whirlpool duet, not sure of the model number, but when I press start it turns on, I never see it put in water, if it does its only a tiny bit, then will stop about ever ten minutes and never actually washes the items. I have no idea if we installed it wrong or what's going on. It's a year old, but was only used for a few months. We are the second owners the former owners took extremely great care of them.

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  Před 9 lety

      The model should be on a sticker on the frame behind the door. We recommend that you confirm that water is actually getting to the washer sufficiently. You will need to turn off the valves. Then, unhook the hoses and put them in a bucket or laundry tub. Then, open the valves back up to see if you are getting good hot and cold water to the valve. If you are getting sufficient water supply, the water valve may be plugged up and need to be replaced. Also check the screens in the valve they may just need to be cleaned. Also make sure the unit is draining. The washer will not fill if some of the water won't drain. You can put some water in the machine and then put it in the spin cycle to see if it will drain out. If not you may have a bad drain pump or a plugged hose.

      @repairclinic  Před 9 lety

      tatiana tabares You should be able to remove the lower panel and reach up and pull a tab on the bottom of the door latch to release the door. This is the latch: www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Door-Lock/8183270/1419926?TLSID=1773. The tab you will need to pull down on is white and has a slotted hole in the center. If the water is not all draining out of the tub, the door will not unlatch. If this is the case, we recommend inspecting the drain pump and replacing it if necessary.

      Bajandoug There should be a locking tab you depress to pull the dispenser drawer out. Some newer models have a plug that a technician can connect to a computer to run diagnostic tests, but you normally need the manufacturers software. Most likely they are the same, but certain dealers like to have a different name to make it seem like their product is unique.

    Soooo helpful. I have an he5t that I absolutely love BUT after 9 1/2 years of excellent service the electronics died. Everything else about the machine is solid and should last 20 years. My misgivings in buying it was the electronics and that sadly appears to have me over a proverbial barrel. I would love to fix it but after disassembling it I can see that the ECP (made by Flextronics (Hungary)), has a machine-assembled PCB and some of the components are so small it's unlikely anyone can manually repair it. What a terrible waste to be held hostage by electronics. It wouldn't be so bad if the replacement ECP components were affordable - they are almost as much as a new machine. $200 for the 2-part PCB for the front panel and $400 for the side ECP unit. OUCH! So much for DIY.,,,
