🤣😆😜
I gotta show hubby your grill/smoker set up!!!!
Uh oh I hope I pass his approval
This is awesome!! I am so happy to have my American Bresse that are coming from them!!!! ❤️😁
That is great! When do they arrive?
You need to buy a Quart of wood oak or other for smoking, will be cheaper than in bags.
GREAT idea! We just haven't found it offered around here, but totally would as often as we smoke meats.
Hey Nakid Gardeners I enjoyed the review on the different species of chickens that are offered. I have found yes each breed of chicken has his ups and downs but it's all in the technique of what goes into the chickens diet and how the person prepares it
Absolutely! We made sure to prepare these the same for comparison. It definitely makes a different in feed for our egg layers eggs too, fermenting their feed has made for much better eggs! Have a great weekend, TGIF!
Great Vid, Love the T-Shirt.
Thanks! I am thinking about adding the shirt on our Esty site to sell.
Lol city life 🤣
I want some ducks again, but our pond has been drying up 🙄
🤪🤣
Great video guys! Now I am super hungry to smoke some chicken
You should! If you were close we would invite you over to try these birds out next time. Do you smoke your own chicken?
Your niece and her beau are so cute like how they are open to trying new food
They are so young in love. Lol I knew she would try it. She grew up around Ma Dukes. If you don't eat what's at the table you starve lol. Moms was ol skool
@@TheNakidGardeners I get old skool yup I ate all I love trying new foods
I don't think they are new to chicken. lol The difference in breed is all it is.
I am glad that this was made available to you especially now that he needs to be gone sometimes. Hopefully it will solve the questions you have about animal attacks but also allow you some more peace of mind even though you know that your real protection is God.
Amen! Thank-youu....it does ease some anxiety, lol!
mmm...YUM!!! All you need now are some corn-smut tacos!!! 😋
LOL! We just could not do the smut....BRING ON THE CORN & Tacos! TGIF...have a blessed weekend!
Dang! I need to move down your way. Bresse for the win. But our palettes do get used to what we get in stores. I can't wait to try the Bresse one day.
Come on down brotha! I know you like to light up the grill a time or two a week. Was thinking about you when I lit this bad boy up and putting food on the grill. Think the Sapper Gardener family will ever do meat birds on your own?
@@TheNakidGardeners We have culled a few roosters but won't be doing meat birds n mass due to our county limitations. Being limited to 6 birds it just wouldn't be feasible to grow meat birds over egg layers. If we ever move to a larger property we probably would.
Great video thanks for sharing 👍🏿 😀
Have you tried either chicken?
@@TheNakidGardeners no I haven't but if given the opportunity I will try to remember this
that was great and she is a beautiful niece!
She truly is. Ms Greenleaf actress herself Asia'h Epperson
@@TheNakidGardeners no you're proud
Well now I just want your secret bbq rub recipe!
I will tell you but I would have to kill ya lol. I'll give you a hint, it has Redmond RealSalt in it. Email me your mailing address and I'll send you a bottle.
I would like your opinion on straight up grilled vs smoked.
Definitely couldn't do the red ranger on grill. If needs to be slow cook for weeks 😆
Love your smoker. Where did you get it?
Thank you! We got it from Buckees
Good evening great to see you
Hey there! How have you been?
Hi there busy and getting a new deck and ground graded😁
@@TheNakidGardeners how are you both?
@@megmills1697 oh that sounds fun! How big is the deck going to be? We are good. Wishing we could catch up on projects and not feeling rushed.
@@TheNakidGardeners I have not measured the deck the old one before it was taken out but when the new 1 goes in I'm gonna see if you have an email attached to your Podcast if you do I'm gonna send you pictures it's not super big but it's a comfortable 1 you know where you don't have to have a million pieces of furniture and and I'll be able to hang some curtains and keep the sun back off it a little bit And I have a porch also in the front I am going to in the Spring finish scraping the floor on that and then I'm going to paint paint it because it has very good wood I would just like to say something that you have the you have the best podcasts for learning I really am happy I found you
Omfg that chicken making my mouth water. I cannot wait to finish building my luxury free roaming bresse chicken mansion resort ! !
oooohhhhh.....now that is something to see!
Great video!
Thank you. Have you ever heard of the American Bresse chicken?
@@TheNakidGardeners I sure have and have been trying to source chicks for a flock in the coming year. Not ready for them yet, but I hope to develop a flock with as wide variety of genetics as possible considering how limited they are here in the US. I would like to try to raise the American Bresse as naturally as possible (let them hatch out and raise their own chicks). So I doubt I’ll ever make money on them but I think it would be fun! In the meantime, I’m getting my first batch of Freedom Rangers Color Yield in about a month. I have layer chickens these last three years and these will be my first meat chickens. Im so excited to get started with all of this! I’ve been raising breeder pigs since the beginning of July and have my first and unexpected farrowing right before Christmas! The boarling was four months old… who knew?!!! He is advanced. It will be the sow’s third litter. I’ve renamed the sow, “Mrs. Robinson!” I have two gilts as well, whom I hope to breed next. I hope they can farrow when it’s WARMER!! Im also getting a bull calf, heifer calf and bred heifer next weekend. Im excited for at least a million zillion chickens, some turkeys and all that this adventure brings! I watched another video you did on the American Bresse a while back. It was terrific. Your family is beautiful and I love your content. Keep it up💚
@@TheNakidGardeners BTW, have you seen this channel? She has so much good American Bresse info!

@@TheNakidGardeners another question or wonder I had… do you think red rangers taste more tough because they take longer to grow out?
@@SarahPerine oh wow you have a lot going on. I am not sure if that is the case with the Red Ranger. The American Bresse chicken (ABC) grows out to 18 weeks. We even had a rooster that we thought was a hen to grow out an extra month and it was not tough. I am not sure. Maybe it was because we let the red rangers roam in electric netting too.
Ummmm Tory …. He better leave you that recipe in his will lol… and I’d have to tell him, if he gives it to you now, to watch you enjoy it- he will get to live a longer , happier life! 😂🤣💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
😅😂.....He thinks he will live happy no matter what, LOL! Also, I have watched him make it a ton of times and I have my own little recipe list for what i think it is, I'll have to surprise him with it one day! 😄
I have heard that happy animal meat tastes better and is much healthier for you than the stuff at the store. It makes sense too. I think more than anything I just personally want that peace of mind that I'm not condoning or supporting animal abuse and that I know end to end where my food comes from
Yes, we like knowing our animals lived a life of being cared for, on grass and with affection!
Stay blessed 🙌
😂🤣 but she got Electrocuted… omg 🙈 it not funny…but funny. It hurts lol. I have been electrocuted before too. Trying to catch the donkeys 😂they weren’t cooperating. Thanks for sharing the smoking of the chickens.
That was karma for her because she was laughing at me when it knocked the drool out of my mouth. I was like oh ok let me see how you like to feel that pain of the S12 charger hitting you lol
Have you been shocked by an electric fence before?
@@TheNakidGardeners 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 y’all be safe ….. have a wonderful weekend
So Cornish cross first. RR second and bresse last? Hmmm
It all depends. We have been getting mixed reviews. What do you prefer?
@@TheNakidGardeners I’ve never had RR or bresse. But I am looking to get some for meat birds instead of the CC
@@01dixieforever01 ABC are a great selection if you are interested in being self sustainable and feeding your family. CX are great if you are doing it to sell to the public. ABC have no health issues growing and require less feed. Great foragers. At 20 weeks, they can start laying eggs. At 14-16 you can butcher them for about 4lb wt premium bird. They do not have large breast like the CX but even the breast taste like a thigh. very moist.
Good video I love smoking too
We talking about meats, right? Lol what kind of wood do you use to smoke your meats and what do you like to smoke?
Yes 😂 I like smoking pork butt, ribs , burgers and chicken. For the pork butt I used Pecan and apple wood and for the chicken I used pecan and peach wood. ( as you can tell pecan is one of my favorite woods to use) for ribs I used jack Daniel wood and cherry wood . I haven’t smoked bologna because I done eat it much but I’ve had smoked bologna and it was fabulous
😂yes he is
🤣🤪
They must work out.
Yes they do. Religiously
I can tell!💪
