I like this interviewer, he’s very respectful and always says things like “i hope you dont mind me asking or” “go ahead you speak” he doesn’t bring up uncomfortable things about the band and is generally interested in Niall because most of the interviewers are mainly interested in girlfriends and what they’re looking for in girls.

    • @mariastyrakova3992

IKR! Maybe thats why this interview is so much more enjoyable than the other ones, you really get to know Niall and what he likes like this, not by just asking him about the band or what kind of a girl he wants. And you can see that he’s also enjoying himself more and is so comfortable and himself around this guy, because he’s actually talking about things he wants to talk about!

For those of us who live and breathe Niall Horan, this is a groundbreaking, revealing interview like no other, and I have watched most of them. I was shocked with delight to learn Niall played acoustic guitar and sang for an older crowd in Ireland prior to auditioning on XFactor. Even more surprising is that Niall knew at the age of 10, the feel and sound he wanted for his first album, Flicker. For me, learning that Niall believes most people love to feel the deep emotions projected into ballads is everything. Of all the music Madonna has released, I have all of her ballads on my playlist. This gives me a new level of expectation for the future of new releases from Nialler. When i can create a playlist with hours of Niall Horan ballads, I know what i will be listening to late at night.
As the former program director of a major POP radio station, I would give anything to listen to Niall"s unreleased music. I find it amazing to learn from this intervirw what influenced Niall at an early age, which still drives his writing style today. I am counting the days until I see you in Las Vegas. This has been another great experience learning about the ever complex, yet forever humble Niall Horan who's future as a prolific songwriter promises a flow of music graced with his totally unique, beautiful and captivating voice. Take good care Nialler. 🌄

@@Julia-iw6xx Thank you Julia. I appreciate your kind words and I know Niall does as well. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction writing about an Irish gentleman who is not only one of the nicest people in the world, but who is already a legendary singer / songwriter at the age of 26. Niall James Horan is the number one recording artist in his homeland of Ireland. Niall is also known as Ireland's favorite son. ☘🍀☘

Older Newfoundlanders tend to sound very close to Irish in terms of their accents. I used to have a professor for a course I took in public affairs in uni back in Montreal and for weeks I thought he was Irish. Being of Irish descent and growing up around the accent, he reminded me of some of my relatives. I finally worked up the courage to ask him where he was from and he said Newfoundland. It blew me away until I reflected a bit on the island's distinct history and it made sense.

I really love what Niall and Louis do at the moment because they draw so much from my musical influences as well. I am 28 and grew up on much of the same stuff as them and I never really stopped listening to that and am very thankful to see more of that again now. Also Harry's 70s influences from the first Album brought me back to my childhood and my dad and uncles music. That feeling is in my soul as well. Felt right at home there.
Excited what they will do in the future!
Never was a One Direction fan - thought they were too young and too pop (now I can appreciate some of their later albums, especially live!) but these 3 really do put out some great music. I love it :)
And the Interview is great as well! Very interesting and relaxed
Edit: interesting that you mentioned the last couple of albums being underrated because I feel the same way. And I felt kind of called out because I clearly was one of the "cool people" who didn't like 1D then (I really was not though. It just went a bit over my head really. I was almost still in the target group as well back then).
