Take this advice, get a 2” receiver welded at the rear of the trailer, get a heavy duty hitch rack or build one that slides in the receiver. Mount the chipper on it with some form of hold down. You now have a removable chipper that works like a chip truck/tow chipper when it’s needed and still have a functional trailer. It would make what you’re doing a lot more efficient/effective than wasting half the box.
Awesome idea man!
Dude I like that!
That’s a i ter
Thank you!
These are not DOT approved for pulling, so no need for the hitch advice, at least on the open road.
The nice thing about the compact chipper is while there is a dump run going on, you can still chipp on to a large tarp.
Keith, always great watching your videos. I run solo and this is a huge time saver. No more doing multiple dump runs with my landscape trailer. Thanks and I wish you the very best in your business👍
Yo dude you are such a big inspiration to young entrepreneurs like me. So thank you 🙏.
Hi Keith. I owned that chipper like till 2 years ago. For the beginning its a very good one. What you get for that amount of money is great. Like 2 years ago i bought a bigger one. BUT. we just do treework. I dont make no landscaping. i bought te TW230 Chipper. But with the Jansen GTS you have a good one. Wish you just the best. Greetings from Germany
Jansen chippers are awesome I have one myself and I absolutely love it!!!
Thanks Keith for the info this is exactly what I am looking for I like you just need something small and will grow from there buddy best of luck to you man glad to see you doing great 👍 I remember when you first started.
My first one was a jo beau fantastic compact machine I do have a road towable now but the little one was great and got me through some tough jobs
That is perfect just what I needed I want one now
Oh yeah that's where you want to get those chippers like you got I seen them chip up big ass bushes serious tree loads hooked on the back of a truck and just tear hold trees up those are badass got me a little pumped up awesome video
Great video. Cheers
NICE Keith.
Thanks for sharing this man 👊
Since watching your videos and getting past my own ego. I believe my company has grown. Lmk when your written material comes out. Ill be one of the first on your list. Thank you
Thank you professor!
I need one of those! I do small tree gigs and that is the perfect size for my need.
Thanks Keith.... For the good information. 🏴☠️
WOW THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😎👍👍
Looking forward on getting your new book..
Great video my man
That chipper is Dope! I will be definitely getting one of those someday. Last I checked (2 years ago) they were made and sold overseas.
Thanks for the info
Look atcha go Dawg, always moving forward (Sempre Avante) Congrats Man!
Looks like that Chipper is a Perfect Size for the types of Jobs I do 🙌😎
Nice Quick Vid mate 👍
Great idea Keith!! I was thinking of the same thing, i was just concerned about the reliability of the chipper due to the size and be able to handle so many branches. Also if wondering if you save more time just loading the branched to cost of dump.
I’m thinking of getting the Jansen gets 2000 Pro. Chips 6” but not sure if it’s a good machine. Now I see it is! Thanks Keith
That thing is badass!
I’ll buy the book man. Thanks for the info!
Ur doing amazing for yourself dont jump ahead of yourself tho.. like u said 5 yrs ago dont buy things an do things you need to pay big bucks for later that may cause u too loose more money than gain money. Ur doing amazing man keep it up wish i could work for you instead
What an awesome little machine, mines paid for itself in 3 uses.
I have the same model here in the UK and it's a fantastic machine .Keep the blades sharp though .You will know when they need doing as won't pull in very well .Would be nice if someone came up with a way of powering the wheels somehow and use it's own 12v supply as can be a pain getting up a ramp and is a hefty machine to move any great distance on your own .Would that be the icing on the cake then for it . Well worth the money and investing in .
My mate has the Jansen hydraulic petrol log splitter and that is an amazing bit of kit .I have frightened myself by the power of it when splitting some huge rings of oak for such a compact small machine .
Great video
I really like the chipper, i will get one thank you very much
Great bro
Love ur hustle game tight
Badass brother! #productivity perfect for what you need.
WELL DONE KEITH. bet that'll be a great investment. More chipper vids mate!! :)
Seems to do well 👌
That little thing is dope! How do you plan financing for a piece of equipment? How to plan ahead for costs? Also you get those segways yet?
I would have a welder make a shelf or bracket to put the chipper on the front of the dump trailer above the tongue and direct the shoot in to the top so it’s always out of the way
Thats dope dawg! I need one. Im swapped with work right now!
How does it perform on the hard woods? Oak and such.
Life expectancy using it 2 to 3 times per week about an hour and a half each time.
Super cool
I have the same one 😀😀 great machine
The Jansen GTS-2000pro has a 14hp Kohler engine! Leaning more towards that one than a Chinese engine.
That’s awesome! I kinda want one now lol
Very cool
Oh and a rubber horsemat. For movements
I'm thinking of one - How do you get it in and out the motor. I got a ramp and lower back bumper.
Great video Keith. Are you going to make a mp3 of the new book so people can listen while they're working?
Damn that’s nice
I’d be interesting about the book! Let us know when it comes to the market
The storm is coming... I could use one of those.
That mini excavator they have is pretty good for the price
I need this lil chipper badly Keith for my small tree 🌲 business
That’s awesome. Nice and compact. Will the chipper discharge high enough to shoot over the tailgate of a 1 ton dump truck?
Looks like it's taking up a lot of space, ever thought of putting the chipper in the back of the ute and the out chute directed into the trailer
Yes that's next
Ok! 💪💪
Nice
I cant believe how fast thats chips I was given one that is similar but it ships at a third of that speed.
Sweet Keith I saw this one on CZcams, a commercial guy in Germany or somewhere... such a little workhorse! They wanted $600 to ship to me in Hawaii so I'm saving up a bit more monies to get one 😌 Stoked to see it in action, very cool!
Yes exactly. Haha
@@keith-kalfas he
What was the other model you were looking at?
Glad to hear about the book. I'm in my 2nd year doing landscape business . A lil weird with the covid situation so had a late start this year but good lil chipper
Keith how are you offloading?
Did it affect you much at the dump?
I’m assuming you need an extra guy to help pull it off and then your dumping?
This chipper/shredder is German manufactured (so we're told). Interesting (but annoying for Europeans) that its cheaper to buy this in the USA, than in Europe! Economies of scale can't apply in this instance, as the EU market is 20% larger than the contiguous United States!
That chipper is worth every penny. I hear people just update there stock engines for more power. Hey, you could even post the mulch on craigslist. Boom, no dump fees.
Or chipdrop
Get in with the fruit and veggie grower community and you will have a few welcoming you're wood chips for free
From the manufacturer, to me, today:
"
Customers who install a stronger engine destroy 80% of the machine. Stronger motor strains this too much. Bearing, shaft, housing etc. All these factors are adjusted to the installed motor. To replace this with a stronger one is idiotic and absolutely not necessary."
Buy a Jo Beau M400. Gamechanger, best on the market
When is the book ready
BOMB!!
Keith I just started looking into buying a chipper, but did not know what the best option would be for my small business. I'm going to check this out. Thanks
This one blow up on me shortly after this video
@@keith-kalfas dang!
Have you found one that is actually reliable? If you have a video about it please share. Appreciate you
@@keith-kalfas What malfunctioned? Is it still working now?
@@keith-kalfas he
Is it DOT approved for pulling and how do you think it might compare to DK2 and Power King with similar specs?
Hi Keith, love your video's! I was curious, it's been about a year since you made this Jansen chipper video. I've been looking at chippers and I've been between continuing to rent a Vermeer BC700XL for $230 a day when need to, buying a Vermeer BC700XL slightly used for close to $20K or something like your setup. The bulk of my chipping is brush, 2-3" or smaller and the logs get tossed right in the dump trailer.
I was curious how your chipper is holding up and if you have any comments on the performance or durability? Appreciate your time, and keep up the dynamite videos!
Dang you stole my idea😂. I have a big chipper but was thinking of buy this for my dump trailer.
Bc it fills up fast
If you have chipdrop.com service in your area you can find people to take the chips. I think it costs you $20 for the lead. Not sure your dump costs.
I'm a true man all my life basically love it all raking brush chipping splitting firewood I just love it all that this is what I do I have fun it's it's not just about picking a chainsaw up but long story short I was just thinking yesterday like you know your firewoods your firewood and all my buddies that I'm tree companies I'm like you have the equipment why don't you just start busting your guy's butts and tell him just chip the brush by little chippers and they won't keep throwing all this firewood it's just crazy you bombed the best chipper and they tear it up this is what it's all about cutting the branches up good enough to chip and getting a job done I love it my guys will hate it I love it buddy I have patience to do stuff like this God bless you
What’s the maintenance on it so far? Looks better than anything on Home Depot’s website
Oh bro you are!! maybe I should watch the whole video before I comment 😜
Hi, mr k. Why did you buy the 1500. and not the 2000 wood chiper. Thx
You think this could be mounted on a receiver hitch on a small dump truck?
I'm about to get one for my self. But not sure wich would be better. Gts 1500e or gts2000??
Dat boi keith looking it
How did you get it on the back of the trailer?
Where do you dispose of the chips?
So when are they supposed to be back in stock... I was literally about to buy one and the web page says out of stock.
I run a palm tree business strictly palms. Would this be a good investment. Average like like 4-7 dump runs a day if I'm trying to cut time and travel.
Looks nice. I have the Champion one for 3” branches. It’s ok, but this looks awesome.
What size is the trailer?
How you go about ordering it?
How’s the chipper working brother?
where can i get good quality knives for this chipper? one of the knives that came with it split in 2
Thats crazy Keith, I just got the same one last fall. Its sick! If you want more power put a harbor freight 23hp predator motor on it. That's what i did and its a beast.
Did that help chipping bigger brush or speed of chipping?
the predator 23hp fitted right in or did you have to do other kind of modifications?
What up man. I check out your videos often. Whats the name and model of that chipper? Thanks man
Losing the screw by the throttle all the way out you’ll get the full 13 HP I mounted mine onto a small trailer and chip right into my truck.
U must have an older one cause they're 15 hp now
If you don;t mind me asking, how much would a job like this cost? Also, do you need your aborist license to cut down tree's? (In canada)
What was the other chipper u where looking ag
They're good little machines hey mate. I'd get one but so many of our branches round here are all weird shaped so they don't work well in those sort of units. I wouldn't mind a little Greenmech machine as they are built like the big Bandit and Vermeer etc. machines but in a smaller frame and lower price.
Can you write without an accent?
@@poet_stowage4574 can you interpret English
Keith, how can i get the truck too if i want one?
U still have/run jenson chipper? I brought a DR chipper from friend , i never used yet...how much is jenson? Ty
Is there a dealer close by I want this chiper?
Hey man!! After 2 years how’s the chipper working? I want to get the same one! I just need a review after 2 years!
Can you make a audiobook on the new book your now so people can play it on your phone and tablet
