  • In this episode, we delve into the benefits of nasal breathing versus mouth breathing during exercise. We examine a recent study from the Journal of Physical Education and Sports conducted by the University of Bratislava, which involved 110 recreational athletes. The study compared nasal breathing, mouth breathing, and a combination of both during a 60-second sit-up test, measuring heart rate, oxygen saturation, and perceived exertion. The results highlight that nasal breathing can lead to a lower heart rate, suggesting a more economical and less stressful breathing route over time.
We discuss the implications for athletic performance and overall health.
