- After establishing a 750' path with a chainsaw. Followed by cleanup with a brush hog\brush cutter to clear up any remaining brush. (As demonstrated in a previous video. Worked great by the way.) It's now time to bring in some material. The chosen path is already a solid base of pit rock. Establish 40-50 years ago as a large work site for a large project in the area. Were bringing in 250 yds of a clay gravel mix, to smooth out any heaves and dips, as well as provide a firm surface raised up from any rain or spring thaw water collection. 750' of driveway. 250 yds of material. 25 loads. 10yds at a time. Enjoy.

Why not have them tailgate it and spread it as the drove down the driveway?
It was a pretty big truck and the driver wasn't comfortable with the dumper bed up and the rocking that would occur. Didn't want all that weight rocking side to side and creating an expensive downtime project on the truck. I did encourage that but I understand the potential issue. We spread it pretty quick with a bobcat though.
@@ericinalaska7648 makes sense!
We did 40 something more loads this summer. And the other issue is/was that its wet stuff and once the load shifts a bit toward the tailgate it pretty much plugs it. Works a bit sometimes but overall ineffective.
Where is this at Eric?
