They actually performed both Starlight and Arkadia during Legend MM Day 21 (Momometal’s Birthday). And the addition of Momometals background vocals just makes the songs even better.
Arkadia was the perfect ending to the Legend MM because it personified Momo’s journey prior to joining BABYMETAL. She endured a few failures along the way but kept positive and never gave up. And now she’s touring the world, living her dream.

I've never read the complete lyrics to all 3 songs at the same time, so hearing the lyrics of each song in sequence really painted a picture for me. I went from almost crying out of sadness over Mikio's passing then eventually getting goosebumps multiple times from Arkadia's epic sound and it's feeling of hope. THIS is the proper way to experience all 3 songs because when done this way, Arkadia really hits you hard in the face because you don't expect it. 🤘🦊🤘

THE MASTERPIECE of Babymetal. The whole misery of their misfortune in 2018, used as a marvellous inspiration to create this fantastic music. Anybody still venting their superficial crap about Babymetal , and they are, read some pretentious reviews lately here in Europe. They should be placed with their bare ass on nests of fire ants. Would do great as an additional Metal effect in their live shows. With just some red spotlights . The growling will be so very authentic. 😎😎😎

Metal Galaxy seems to have been a very divisive album on release for fans but I think in hindsight it marked the point that Babymetal transcended what Kawaii Metal originally meant and the diversity and quality of the songs, from Da Da Dance, through Brand New Day and Night Night Burn!, BxMxC and PA PA YA, climaxing with the Trilogy Of Lights only gave us hints of where they could still go.

    5:47 Reaction start.
Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🌌
This Trilogy Of Lights is really something special.
It's a beautiful official set of three songs to represent the ongoing cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
The best way to experience this trilogy is after watching The One along with Tales Of The Destinies so highly suggest to come back with this trilogy after watching those songs.
You got the right order but with some live compilation, highly suggest to check the full version of Shine live at Legend M 2019, it's when the clips shows MoaMetal playing the guitar.
BM fans took this set unofficially as a tribute to Mikio Fujioka (Kami Band guitarist) passed away and YuiMetal's withdrawal both sad events in 2018, she left the group with undisclosed health reasons, although as far as we know she's fine now and she said she wants to pursue her own dreams outside of BM project, so far we don't have anymore news from her except here and there but nothing official or in public, but she certainly won't be part of this project anymore since we already have a new official member filling the third spot for this new BM era. Last June 20th was her birthday, we all wish her the best and we'll always remember everything she has done for this group, our tomato princess.🍅❤
Keep enjoying more BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Look 12:20- that isn't Momo but Riho Sayashi. This was from the Avengers era. Later you can spot Kano Fujihira at 17:54 (but i guess there was a bit Momoko too, not quite sure). Sadly in this compilation you miss the start of Shine with Moa playin that acoustic guitar (but that's not 100% proofed- at least she pretends, but she can actually play guitar a bit. Guess this ones tuned so she only needed one barree finger to play the chords, not sure but i think that's a DADGAD tuning) Also its rumored that this was one of Mikio Fujioka's guitars, the guitarist that died from falling while stargazing. Greets from Germany - enjoy!

We'll never know for certain what the trilogy really means, because Babymetal never explain what the intended interpretation of their songs is, and it's doubly difficult to know what is intended due to the difficulties of translating Japanese to English without losing some of the nuance along the way. However, the imagery used in the live performances and some of the very clear language used does strongly suggest that these songs were inspired at least to some extent by the trials Babymetal suffered in late 2017 - early 2018. Starlight was also released the same day that the announcement that Yuimetal was leaving Babymetal was made public, so that adds to the idea that the trilogy has some relation to that.
The performance of Shine at Legend M (the one with the guitar) is IMO the single best performance of a song that Babymetal has ever done. It was the world premiere live performance and it really felt like they were making a dedication in how they performed it; the way it's just Su and Moa up there with the guitar feels like such an intimate and personal performance for them.
They played Starlight and Arkadia at Legend MM in March this year, so I got to see them both live for the first time, which was a real treat because they rarely play these songs live. I didn't get to see Shine though, which is a shame because it's one of my favourite Babymetal songs.
If you get a chance, even if it's not for a video, please watch "The Hills of Wisteria", which is a song by Takayoshi Ohmura dedicated to Mikio's memory and performed by the Kami band and some of Mikio's friends from other bands - czcams.com/video/y-DHzrF0hKM/video.html

Arcadia feels a lot like a song about working through the hard times and making it to the promised land...and earlier this year, after being re-born with Momo as the 3rd member and completing their grueling 23/24 tour schedule, they played it at the end of a big arena show and it felt like it had a totally different inflection...like rather than looking forward to succeeding, it felt like a hard earned victory lap instead.

Compilation videos. Starlight was from Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 with Riho Sayashi as the Avenger in the third spot and another show I cannot pinpoint with Momoko as the Avenger.
Shine and Arkadia were from Legend Metal Galaxy with Riho again and Legend M with Kano Fujihara as the Avenger for Arkadia. Shine at Legend M was just Su, Moa and the guitar on stage.

Really appreciate you did the Trilogy in a row since I consider it better than the sum of the three songs (which are already incredibly good for themselves).
The Trilogy of Lights is about the stages of grief: "Starlight" represents the first stages: denial and anger. "Shine" is about the intermediate: bargaining and depression (also known as the inflection point). And "Arkadia" is obviously about acceptance, moving forward. It has never been said that it was a tribute to Mikio and/or Yui. But many fans take it like this and given the general theme and the lyrics, it's at least plausible.
I currently consider "Arkadia" my all time favorite song. I love everything about it and I believe it's totally me. I was lucky enough to get it live alongside "Starlight" but never got "Shine".
Most of the footage shows Riho Sayashi and also Kano Fujihira, two of the Avengers (backup dancers) since the three videos are compilations from several shows. The one with Moa playing the acoustic guitar was Legend-M and that's the uncontested best performance of "Shine". Moa can play the guitar but she admitted she should practice more.
    Until next time!
