Florida is beautiful! Ocean is gorgeous! We make a lot of videos of the cities around Orlando area, different stores, beaches and new homes construction and noticed a non-stop growth. Florida attracts not tourists only, but a lot of people are coming from other states to live here!
I would like to move to Florida some day main reason is my depression is way worse here and when I go to Florida my depression is not as severe.. I think it has a lot to do with the sunshine
It's never too late to change your scenery. Go for it! There are lots of transplants here and you can meet new friends while enjoying outdoor activities all winter long.

We have plenty of land and space. Its funny to hear people talk about "traffic" in central florida when I came from boston and DC traffic which was 10x worse

Depending the part of town, same crimes, loads of drugs, traffic can be rough also depending which way you head. Where Iâm at more north on the island itâs great!! But to go to work in Kona, not North Kona, but south Kona your in ridiculous lines and can take up to an hr to get to your location and back through. You have to watch the local FB page to see where road work and cleanup areas are or you better plan on a wait. We bring a small cooler with snacks! Lol! Always prepared! We know what streets to avoid with bad neighborhoods. Itâs scary and hard going in new though! The economy for year has been up and down. Itâs normal history. And we all struggle from time to time. Love the videos you show. So helpful!!
I like in ny in a town called rockland county one of the highest paying tax counties in the U.S. but my reason on why I plan on moving is mostly everything. Weather, taxes, politics, freedom, cost of living. Only problem is leaving family
Hi Pablo, I felt the same some 17+ years ago. I actually made a spreadsheet of various states to move to from the Boston Area. Eventually zeroed in on two - Florida and CA. Florida won due to the very reasons you mentioned. I eventually took up a job and lived 3 years in California, just to scratch the CA itch. Then came right back to FL. The best decision I made. I have friends and family who visit from time to time. Every single one of them are in awe of Florida. What most people cant understand is how the entire state is so clean organized with wide nice roads and attractions all over the state. How one does not have to drive long distances to get to any store or strip mall [unless you are driving through the everglades or such restricted nature reserves].
Haha that's where I moved from, Boston. I do feel that central florida was undervalued prior to the "covid boom" in prices. We still have land to expand on- Orlando will be a different landscape in the next 5-10 years. Lots more to come!
There's a big development called Sawgrass on Wetherbee Rd near the International Airport that has absolutely EXPLODED the traffic here in South Central Orlando in the past 3 or so years.
Yep I sold a Taylor Morrison home there recently, more value for the $ than lake Nona official, but different schools system. Wait till Saint Cloud weslyn park releases, traffic along narcoossee will get tight until they build the Osceola parkway extension.
I'm #1 in moving out of here. Jacked my RENT TO $2,400.00 a month. My lease is up in Nov. 1st. I can buy a house out of state for a whole lot less. Planned on staying 2 more yrs. Reality is the Tourist robbed me of $100,000.00 in pay! 29yrs. & am forced to move out. That's ok because Florida is not going to steal all my Retirement money! Very nice and informative video!!! We're a military family coming from Columbus, Georgia and very familiar with the northern Florida area being I was stationed in jville. However, since I retired military, trucker and wife is in Air force the Tampa/st Pete area has been very attractive. Also the pockets between Tampa and Orlando as well.
Great insight as far as areas to target, yes we had some friends in Lakeland, Haines City, and now that is nearly Davenport area. Deland Deltona is also growing inbetween Lake Mary and Jacksonville. Thanks for watching :)

Thats right- people that bought well on size and maybe added upgrades or pools after in rising areas like Lake Nona have done very well if they bought in late 2019 to early 2021. I think things will level off a bit going forward, still growth yet to come in the master planned areas of orlando next 5-10 years for sure.
@@squigglove Lake Nona is a master-planned area, but it is surrounded by existing areas. Sunbridge is also a master-planned area. Olympus Wellness Way between clermont and winter garden Is a future master planned area. Orlando will be very spread-out in the next 10 years, but the established areas will continue to be popular for their amenities and proximity to "stuff". Some of these new homes are just too far out from amenities to see the same market appreciation.
Yes it has... I bought in Cape Coral Oct 2019 (condo on a canal) for $185K... Could have easliy sold my unit for $385K (no improvements) in 2022 before Ian. Now... not sure.

When I first moved to Boston I felt some new Englanders were extremely rude, but I settled in and found my part of town But yes Miami is getting expensive and melting pot with not a ton of land, many come up to orlando in search of better neighborhoods feel and for raising kids when the budget is under $1M
what is the justifiable reasons that apartment rent in osceola, orange, and polk county went up 40-50 percent in one year. i can see homes and mobile homes going up because of supply and demand...but why apartment rents? especially one-bedroom? do you have any answers? Let me know....
Its insane... and cannot continue at this pace, however here are my thoughts: People strike out at renting a townhome or SFH with private owner so they go to apartment buildings because its easier to walk into a leasing office and see what they have coming up or available now- they also accept lower credit scores and income, lower deposit amounts usually. With the exponentially rising rents and very little control, more investors flocked to FL from states like Oregon and CA where rent control is in the favor of the tenant, and bought up investment properties to rent out. Demand continued and thus it became a self-feeding beast. As relocations slow down and more vacancies pop up (florida was just named most vacancies - for other reasons besides investment homes) it will balance out. But the new norm for a 1-bedroom apartment in a nicer area is $1600-$1800/mo. Who doesn't like a NEW apartment building to come home to! It's nicer than a 1960's built ranch house or townhome with old finishes, and if its in the heart of the area you like, then it can be a great place to land for a few years before you buy.
Wow! We've got 10 million just in Los Angeles County! I live east of LA about 25 miles. I'm 4-5 cities east of Pasadena. The weather is awesome! I was born here, but things are getting worse with Newsome.
I was born in Valencia,CA and love visiting up to wine country but love the no state income tax here in FL. The time to get away is during the hot humid months
I'm selling my house in Tennessee to move to Florida, going to rent for a year then buy, hopefully the house market will calm down a bit in a year and I will get my rent money back.
I think there will be more inventory to choose from here in the next 3-6 months. The rising interest rates have caused a slow down, but not a crash. Keep your eyes out for deals and get your mortgage/downpayment in order and you'll do just fine.
It could be- these master planned communities were ranked by "top selling" where as fastest growing such as winter garden hamlin/horizon west has that title I believe, 3rd fastest growing in land area and/or population. I helped a michigan friend of mine relocate to Cape Coral a few years ago, they are very happy there
Do your homework, " the free state of florida" as our governor loves to brag on is anything but free anymore. Property taxes double and triple, homeowners insurance same, flood insurance now mandatory for every residence, utility costs double. Insurance industry on the brink of insolvency, refusing to settle on Ian losses. Condo/HOA costs forcing people to walk away from their mortgages, because they can't afford to stay and nobody's buying them. The only thing free in the state is the rhetoric and the sunshine.
Cape coral was but that's not the case post Ian. Do your homework before buying here. Infrastructure in the city was in bad shape pre Ian and is only worse now. Huge assessments/tax increases coming because the city/county/state planning boards have ignored these issues for 30 years.
~~~ Seattle, WA. VS Fort Lauderdale, FL is a very interesting match. Florida is on average overall slightly a bit cheaper than the West Coast, YET. Seattle vs Fort Lauderdale LOCAL PURCHASING POWER = - 29.5 %. what this means is the cost of living vs wages is MUCH better here in Seattle, WA. . . moving for a job.
I'd imagine you can get a premium price for your home there, especially once the snow melts! Come on down and let's see what you can get for the money here.
No air Bnb, HOAâs and Orange County zoning prevent- however some of the apartment buildings have 3-6 month leases, can be furnished, which helps with people relocating in and needing to bridge the gap till their new house is done
I used to live in Clermont and minneola, and have lots of athlete friends. Iâm excited about the concept but it is still a loooong ways off. Sunbridge as well. That being said yes đđŒ great idea and will make it fun and interesting đ§
Reasons why not to move to Florida for northerners: Very bad health care. It is very difficult to find professional and adequate health care providers. Most are either sub-par, poorly trained or just don't care. I would strongly suggest that you see health care providers in the north including dental care. Florida is a very superficial culture, especially in Orlando. It's a great place for mainstream but don't count on intellectual stimulation. Florida is halfway between the United States and a third world country. Services are not good, schools are poor, and customer service is almost non- existent. Florida is very expensive (except maybe for New Yorkers). Don't move to Florida because there is no state income tax. The cost of living is very high, especially rent and real estate. The lack of state taxes does not make up for high cost of living. Wish I had known these things before I moved here, I would have chosen another state.
LOL on this generalization. lake nona medical city orlando has the best dentists, medical care, schools, and although it is expensive it still has room to grow, unlike a fully established city. If Florida is not your thing, There will be someone waiting in line to buy your house right now ;)
Iâve heard the same thing from many other people. And actually, Iâve researched the medical aspect myself. I was told by several medical providers, that they were no longer accepting patients.
So you've seen every doctor in Florida? Fyi, most of the people who live in Florida, are not from Florida. So, you're saying that stupid people from other states are here, ok.....schools everywhere are good and bad. Check out some states, they have zero proficiency in math or English, so once again, wrong!
I visited from Boston, MA back in 2008 and came down for an engineering job. Ended up staying. The only time I like to get away from the heat and humidity is parts of July or August, which dovetails well with kids vacation. And yes there are some bad agents out there but i'm happy to say our firm is in the top 100 out of all in Orlando, which is the 3rd largest market in all of Florida, 7th largest in the U.S. Thanks again for your input!

Good question! I had a family come from dallas Ft. worth 1.5 years ago and then got offered a job back in Dalls at 2x the salary, plus we sold their orlando home for $150k more, so they were happy to jump back to TX

Yes...sadly Old Florida is gone. I moved down there in 1981 and it was wonderful. Went back in 2018 after being away for 12 years and it was horrible. Broward County has gotten way over crowded, concrete jungle and the people are either brain dead or don't speak English. So very sad đ

With the exponentially rising rents and very little control, more investors flocked to FL from states like Oregon and CA where rent control is in the favor of the tenant, and bought up investment properties to rent out. Demand continued and thus it became a self-feeding beast. As relocations slow down and more vacancies pop up (florida was just named most vacancies - for other reasons besides investment homes) it will balance out. But the new norm for a 1-bedroom apartment in a nicer area is $1600-$1800/mo. Who doesn't like a NEW apartment building to come home to! It's nicer than a 1960's built ranch house or townhome with old finishes, and if its in the heart of the area you like, then it can be a great place to land for a few years before you buy.
Wow! We've got 10 million just in Los Angeles County! I live east of LA about 25 miles. I'm 4-5 cities east of Pasadena. The weather is awesome! I was born here, but things are getting worse with Newsome.
I was born in Valencia,CA and love visiting up to wine country but love the no state income tax here in FL. The time to get away is during the hot humid months

I'm selling my house in Tennessee to move to Florida, going to rent for a year then buy, hopefully the house market will calm down a bit in a year and I will get my rent money back.
I think there will be more inventory to choose from here in the next 3-6 months. The rising interest rates have caused a slow down, but not a crash. Keep your eyes out for deals and get your mortgage/downpayment in order and you'll do just fine.

It could be- these master planned communities were ranked by "top selling" where as fastest growing such as winter garden hamlin/horizon west has that title I believe, 3rd fastest growing in land area and/or population. I helped a michigan friend of mine relocate to Cape Coral a few years ago, they are very happy there

Do your homework, " the free state of florida" as our governor loves to brag on is anything but free anymore. Property taxes double and triple, homeowners insurance same, flood insurance now mandatory for every residence, utility costs double. Insurance industry on the brink of insolvency, refusing to settle on Ian losses. Condo/HOA costs forcing people to walk away from their mortgages, because they can't afford to stay and nobody's buying them. The only thing free in the state is the rhetoric and the sunshine.
Cape coral was but that's not the case post Ian. Do your homework before buying here. Infrastructure in the city was in bad shape pre Ian and is only worse now. Huge assessments/tax increases coming because the city/county/state planning boards have ignored these issues for 30 years.

what this means is the cost of living vs wages is MUCH better here in Seattle, WA. . . moving for a job.

No air Bnb, HOAâs and Orange County zoning prevent- however some of the apartment buildings have 3-6 month leases, can be furnished, which helps with people relocating in and needing to bridge the gap till their new house is done

Reasons why not to move to Florida for northerners:
Very bad health care. It is very difficult to find professional and adequate health care providers. Most are either sub-par, poorly trained or just don't care. I would strongly suggest that you see health care providers in the north including dental care.
Florida is a very superficial culture, especially in Orlando. It's a great place for mainstream but don't count on intellectual stimulation.
Florida is halfway between the United States and a third world country. Services are not good, schools are poor, and customer service is almost non- existent.
Florida is very expensive (except maybe for New Yorkers). Don't move to Florida because there is no state income tax. The cost of living is very high, especially rent and real estate. The lack of state taxes does not make up for high cost of living.
Wish I had known these things before I moved here, I would have chosen another state.
LOL on this generalization. lake nona medical city orlando has the best dentists, medical care, schools, and although it is expensive it still has room to grow, unlike a fully established city. If Florida is not your thing, There will be someone waiting in line to buy your house right now ;)

Iâve heard the same thing from many other people. And actually, Iâve researched the medical aspect myself. I was told by several medical providers, that they were no longer accepting patients.

Check out some states, they have zero proficiency in math or English, so once again, wrong!
Visit, don't stay. Real estate agents make a lot of money if they can resell a house every year. A lot of sleaze under the surface.
I visited from Boston, MA back in 2008 and came down for an engineering job. Ended up staying. The only time I like to get away from the heat and humidity is parts of July or August, which dovetails well with kids vacation. And yes there are some bad agents out there but i'm happy to say our firm is in the top 100 out of all in Orlando, which is the 3rd largest market in all of Florida, 7th largest in the U.S. Thanks again for your input!

Good question! I had a family come from dallas Ft. worth 1.5 years ago and then got offered a job back in Dalls at 2x the salary, plus we sold their orlando home for $150k more, so they were happy to jump back to TX

Yes...sadly Old Florida is gone. I moved down there in 1981 and it was wonderful. Went back in 2018 after being away for 12 years and it was horrible. Broward County has gotten way over crowded, concrete jungle and the people are either brain dead or don't speak English. So very sad đ
