- Back at the site where I dug all the sewer lines to start cleaning up these yards and rough grading. Had some pallets of rock to move and started backfilling the front yards. Didn't make a ton progress due to the rain in the morning. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #roughgrades

Rewatched! I'm on my Elite channel today! There is SO much to see review and learn! I love it!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching
This video is a perfect example of your skills! The property is the worst i have seen you work on.. trash, rocks, debris, just stuff.... and somehow someway you make a massive transformation with the grading process and moving dirt! The worst the better! I love this one!
Thank you! Those houses were always a wreck before I started grading them.
Rewatched! In grading heaven! And to think you did this by yourself! So impressed by this....liked and shared!
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Where is most of your work being done? What state?
@@aaronburford5701 southwest Missouri
rocks in the dirt nice going
George Bryan oh that’s not that’s the junk that was dug out from the sewer lines and footings
Hi .I know you could do it your so good at it Mr Ellite good video
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Like the commentary and the strategy.... I can see why it was called rough grading but do great work! And yes I look at your videos.....lol
Thank you! Appreciate you watching
My word they sure leave a mess for you to clean up, but it keeps the bills paid huh lol, great job again!
Man With A Plan it sure does! Thank you sir!
Nice flash for Jason’s office...cracks me up every time 😂😂. Nice music change...sounds like the music on the other Canadian guys channel (KWC) 🤔😉
D C 🤣 I couldn’t resist! Thanks Taylor may have told me the music site he uses 😁
Elite Earthworks LLC makes for a nice change every now and then 🤷♂️
D C I thought so but we will see what everyone says
Like the sky hooks on driveway forms
You should get crushed and sell their rocks and concrete back to them
Crusher
Lol those are nice
Jason has a porta craper business too 😂. Looking good but not big deal 18 good 👍
Bryon 6180 you know he does! Lol big deal has all that pretty dirt hauled in, I try to show how the other half lives with my crap material 🤣
Bryon 6180 you crack me up 🤣😂
Nice job with that mess!
Dirt Boss Tri-County Masonry & Excavating thanks buddy!
You have done a good 👍 job on the Rough Grades I love ❤️ your video 📷 the come more into your video 📷 I just can't wait for the next ➡️ video 📷 #RoughGrades
Anthony j Carolan thank you! Appreciate the comment! 👍🏻
Great job for what you had to work with 👍
james dees thank you!
Keep trying you'll get it figured out one day
🤣 ok I hope so 🤞🏻
@@eliteearthworksllc you are the grading contractor and you don't know what there going to do with the retaining wall that's you job to tell the builder what you need them too do so you can do your job correctly 😉 just a little tip good effort keep on trying
Good to know it really doesn’t matter to me what they do with the walls I can make any of it work 👍🏻 appreciate the comment though
Much, much better - especially when you go back and look at the beginning. Looking forward to the next step.
Dale Premo thank you! I’m getting happier with it, dirt started showing up Friday
Nice work Brandon.
Once again you're making chicken salad out of chicken poop, and you have no good material to work with. Excellent camera work in this video, nice work on the edit too.
Great to chat with you on Friday AM, best to you and your family from here! Can't wait to see your new Peterbuilt dump!
Doug@ the "ranch"
lakesideranch thanks Doug! Yeah this one was a bit challenging! It was really nice talking to you! Hopefully my truck will show up next week. Your trucks are really nice! Have a great weekend too and thanks again !
you make roughness look great
junehunk1 thank you! It was a bit challenging here lol
I can say those guys make it a challenge to get those yards straight, but you always make it look a 100% better
Kevin Lewis yes they do, thank you!
I caught that Jason's office sit house😄😄😄
Lee Shaver good catch! 😂💩
Lee Shaver 🤣 I couldn’t resist
@@eliteearthworksllc I had to play it several times before I paused it in the right place I drive my wife nuts because of the stuff I catch when we're watching something
Lee Shaver 🤣 I try to throw stuff like in from time to time to see who sees it 😁. Tell your wife sorry for me lol
It’s coming along very nice.
walter mattson thank you it’s starting to take shape
I sure hope your charging more for doing there clean up for them. Looks alot better than it did that's forsure. We got another 2 inches of rain today on top of the 7 we got last Tuesday into Wednesday. Keep up the great videos
Kenny Mysak oh yes there is a cleaning charge. Wow you guys are getting pounded with rain
Using green field sites is a great concept,,, seems to work well in most regards,,, and seems to work the dickens out a the site guy(s). You do well sir,,, training, instinct, or practice,,, you have a handle on this. Thanks for the videos.
bluemtnsman thank you! I agree that would be nice. The next set of houses down will be easier and better material. These are sitting on the old school which is why the fill dirt is junk
Elite Trashwerks does it again! Good job getting it cleaned up.
Was curious. Did the front sidewalk hold up through out all the traffic over them?
William Harris 🤣 thanks! It has so far but we will see
I guess they can use the 10in block as a flower planter
Lol I guess they could have but I already hauled it off
I loved the subliminal marketing for #JasonWorksAlot 😂 You always do a great job even when when the circumstances aren’t so great 💗
I couldn’t resist! Thanks 😉
Elite Earthworks LLC 💋
Do you have any how to videos with the skid steer as far as grading with the bucket? Maybe a tips and tricks of how you operate? Just picked up a 95-2s been looking for some good how to videos. A lot of videos of guys operating them, it none of anyone actually explaining how and why they do certain movements etc... with your skill set I think it would make an excellent video! Thanks
I may have a few where I explain some of what I’m doing you may have to look through the rough grading and building yards playlist. I know I have a couple where I talk about grading
U sure good with that big machine in tight places 😂 how often do u tighten your tracks on that digger can’t tell if it just so rough they are moving up and down or if they are a little lose
Thanks! It’s mostly that rough they may be a loose they have 2200 hours on them. That’s one reason it rides rougher less tread on the tracks 😁
That first piece you put in your truck would have made a nice stoop.
Brian Gardiner yeah I probably should have kept it. I think it was part of the front steps of the school, which was built in 1921. Lots of history there
@@eliteearthworksllc I don't know if you noticed but it had drill holes where they used wedges and feathers to split it.
Brian Gardiner yeah I saw that I’ve got to work at the dump site I may load it back up and bring it to the shop
@@eliteearthworksllc At least you work the dump site and not someone else.
Brian Gardiner that does make it nice!
Nice job ! Looks like you have the tough tread plate bed liner.
Top Notch Excavating LLC thank you! I do the original bed is rusted out so someone put the tread plate in. Seems to be very strong
If I was going to buy one of those properties I wouldn't have any of that junk down for my lawn and garden plot and I know it not up to you. You just your job
Yeah all that junk should have been hauled out. I hauled the biggest stuff out but it was all crap
the concrete guys made a mess and you always have to clean it up not fair
I don't see how you got it as good as you did to me look like what you had for finish grade had a lot of rocks in it or maybe it was just me. Have a good weekend
Gordon Bright it was a bit challenging, it had lots of rock and brick in it. These houses are built on an old school site that they apparently demoed and dumped in the basement. This is what I dug out from the sewer lines
Man you need a stone crusher and soil screener that dirt they bring ya is crap full of rocks and trash I'd fire them lol but you do make it look good....
TIM LASHLEY that would be awesome! This is all the material I dug out of the sewer lines I dug a few weeks ago. These houses are sitting on an old school that was demoed is where the brick and junk came from.
Nice video! Seems like a decent amount of work, but you did a good job. I’m guessing you’re a Takeuchi fan? I’ve been looking at ctl for a bit now trying to decide which to buy.
Capital Stumps thank you! Yes lots of work here. I’m a huge Takeuchi guy! This loader is a 2011 with 7300 hours on it and still going strong. I love the size of the cabs and how responsive the controls are. Good luck shopping!
Elite, thanks for the reply! Wow! 7300 hours, I’d say that machine owes you nothing! I tried a tl6 and found it to be a little jerky actually, I’m gonna try a tL8 and see if it’s any different. Best of luck with that machine, hope you get another couple thousand hours on her
Capital Stumps it seems like the shorter the machine is the jerky it is. I’ve ran a few 8’s they seem like a great all around machine for there size. Thank you I would love to get it to 10,000 hours 😁
👍👍🇨🇦🐕
Dermot Byrne thank you!
Wall Contractor is going to be pissed when he starts digging, but hey....you got paid.
Lol I think it’s going to be me digging for the wall contractor 🤣
@@eliteearthworksllc Well Well , Wall Contractor. Good thing it pays by the hour.
🤣 no kidding
How do you get jobs like this ?
I did all the site work for this builder so I got to build pads and do the rough and finally grades.
Seems like a thumb would be great for the loader but I’m sure that’s what she said so I’m guessing it’s not possible.
Dall Tex lol I thought about bringing my grapple bucket maybe next week
You nee a Grizzly Screen on these jobs.
That would help for sure
As the saying goes " you can't make honey out of dog s##t " but you can keep trying.
barry hansen 🤣 that’s exactly how felt!
how much do you charge per sq ft to do the rough grade for new construction?
I’ve never figured it up by the sq ft. I just give a price or day rate
are these properties surveyed and staked prior to your arrival? and thanks for the quick reply we have recently moved into new construction from doing residential and am just trying to get a grasp of pricing for builder compared to home owners
@JasonSheptycki yes they are surveyed and stake before you start. You’re welcome! I usually just try to do a price vs sq ft cause everyone of them is different
The contractor expects a lot out of you. Making a lawn out of rocks, blocks.and mud isn’t easy.
Lol yep just have to use what’s on site. Gets a little challenging at times.
Who ever you are doing this work for is one cheap slack a$$. Those land owners should raise all kinds of hell... Just not right to put that kinda shit in someones yard!!!
Good Try agreed they would be really pissed if they knew a school was under those houses
@@eliteearthworksllc lol the things people do to save a buck!!!
@@eliteearthworksllc right..... that’s just asking for yard problems for life a bad soil /rocky soil = hell of a time growing yard rocky soil is dry u can band aid it but in the lib grub hurts the home owner but like u say anything to save a penny’
Them final grades can be a pain in the but😣
Got to put your imagination to be smart on moving alot of dirt around so you don’t have to be moving it to much 😅and between the houses to especially when the builder doesn’t want to spend money on wall and tells you to make it work and just find a way and having no fall to the front and having to add area drains 😖
Manuel Castillo yes it can be a bit challenging at times but it’s coming together now. Thank you!
Ever feel like a janitor sometimes cleaning up after everbody lol
Larry Ross lol yes more so on these sites
I know that you are doing it the way they want you to but I look at it as just dumping all the garbage in the yard and cover it with a inch of soil and call it a yard. The home buyers have on idea of what they are getting.
Welcome to new home building
David Glaum the material is all the junk I dug out of the sewer lines, these houses are sitting on an old school which was demoed and push into the basement. I haul off the biggest rocks and chunks of concrete but it’s still so much junk. I hate working on stuff like this because I know when there done it’s all junk below the dirt.
Elite Earthworks LLC I saw the garbage the people left behind from the school. I come from the old school you just didn’t do that stupid stuff. The old saying money takes and vanity walks.
David Glaum yeah I wish it was still like that, now days it’s all about hiding junk. No one cares anymore. I get a lot of work from this builder but it’s not always stuff I’m proud of
Elite Earthworks LLC I see the other work you do and that shows your pride.
You did a good job for such a crappy job lol. That is a sorry outfit that hires u to do that. They should have hired u to haul that off
Yeah that was a builder I did work for in 2018. We parted ways cause they wanted to cheap out on everything
Its a shame there is so much debris before you start the rough grade....you show up at a job site and make a 💩 show look better.
D C lol thank you! This one was a bit more challenging with all the concrete and brick
