We got those chairs 21 years ago they are great because they are adjustable and support good posture. Make sure you use the straps if you’ve got an escape artist!
This chair grows with you. I had one as a baby/toddler. And I still use it at 30 years old. You just remove the top platform and move up the footrest which is now what I sit on. Genius. Don’t know any other baby chair that does that, but that’s what you get with a Scandinavian design 😉
We’ve had our Tripp Trapp since our daughter was 6 months old as well(21 months now)! Love it so so much and love the fact that it grows with your child!
I have uded that chair since I was super little, (2-3years old) until it was phisically impossible for me to keep sitting on it😂 (16 years old😅) It’s the best thing and I will definitely buy one for my future kids!
Me and my sister also had ours until we were 13 years old and actually my cousins still used theirs from their childhood as desk chairs until their mid-twenties!
That's smart. My 83 old Mothher was sitting at a table that was cocktail height for Thanksgiving dinner.. Later that night, my Mother had terrible leg cramps, & we found out that it was attributed to her legs dangling down all day. Be aware of anyone of any age having this issue.
I have these for my twins. Got them for $7 a pop at a thrift store without even knowing what they really were. My kids love them. They’re 7 and won’t sit anywhere else to eat.
As a teacher of 6- 8 year olds, I can confirm that this way of sitting is beneficial. Core stability allows kids to have seat stamina when sitting on the mat or at their desks. This stamina aides in concentration = increased learning readiness.
We have one in my family! It's been in basically constant use for 25 years, and is still holding up great. We used to have 2 when there were multiple littles in the family but one got sold as there's only need for one now that everyone but the youngest (6 year old) is using normal chairs. It's gotten adjusted basically once a year for 25 years and all the bits are still holding up great. Amazing quality.
I’m nearly thirteen with a two year old in the house and we still have my one of these which my parents purchased when I was a baby. We now have four of them, one for each kid (though I stopped sitting in mine at nine, since I grew very quickly) and they get rotated with the regular chairs depending on guests. They are super sturdy, easy to clean and the high chair attachment comes off to reveal a normal chair. Great steal for any new moms looking for a chair that will last the average child for about ten to twelve years.
Push that little foot shelf forward a bit and there will be more space for little tootsies. Love these chairs. My kids had them from sitting-up age to about ten.
My friend had this style chair growing up and they still use them as normal chair for the adults. They are also good if you have family with a variety of ages of kids cos there so adaptable.
I have tat exact chair but in black but because I’m older i sit on the footstool and use the little bar as my footstool ❤❤❤ p.s your baby is so cute ❤❤❤
I don’t want anybody to be mislead, a lot of chairs are like this just not as aesthetically pleasing or expensive. My grace high chair is literally at the same angle just more seat in the butt area and it does the converting into a table/chair moment, and moves down stages so. Just saying.
I think your footrest is around the wrong way. There should be more rest at the front. It allows their feet to be flat on the rest.
Před 4 měsíci
The feet shouldn’t be able to dangle like this kid is able to do. The manual tells you to align the edge of the footrest with the end of the bottom of the chair and this one clearly isnt 😅 *Edit: it is however not around the wrong way. The manual does show the round parts facing the back of the chair.
We were torn between the Stokke and the Lalo high chair. We got the Lalo. Seemingly identical in concept and execution, but different aesthetic. Hope this helps someone!
I had the same chair! I grew up in Italy and 25 years ago my parents got it from Germany even though it was quite expensive. Now many companies make them and they are very easy to find in all Europe. They’re so durable I still use it sometimes 😂
You can easily get the ikea antilop chair for under 50 dollars and buy a foot rest made for it and not spend around 600 on this high chair in the video.
We have these for all three of my kids. My twin boys are 6 and still use them and now we have one for our youngest boy and we have the newborn attachment for it so he can be with us at meals
We have same chair, it s great,we also got a food catcher connected to the table..she doesn't mess much on the floor any more!Girl, you gotta push the foot rest forward so Sage s whole sole is resting on the bottom plank, and place the lower plank 1 step lower, she looks very uncomfortable. Try and see how she feels👌
Just a small tip in addition to lowering the footrest when they grow- you can actually push the foot rest to the front a bit more by unscrewing the sides and sliding it forward. That way your child will be able to rest their whole foot on it.
It’s called a Stokke Tripp Trapp and it’s $300!! I think it’s ridiculous especially since as you can see the child doesn’t even keep their feet on the stand the mom keeps putting them back up

Excellent point about the foot rest helping to prevent choking.
I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not 😂
How would that help?
Are you being sarcastic I need to know
Fun fact: Choking is 100% not me, and Every person who dies from choking is sent straight to hell, no exceptions.
You can find this high chair in basically every European household with toddlers. I’ve had it when I was a kid and my kids still use it 👍🏻
every kid has a triptrap indeed
My cousins who are in their 30 still have theirs
I’m curious! , is it expensive in Europe, too? They’re about 340$ without the tray! With tray, it’s more than 400.
@@cynthiavasquez7980 where I live it costs about 300€ with all the extra stuff

@@lijisusanraju5142 STOKKE
Literally every kid in Denmark has this chair growing up. My kids have one each. They last forever.
The good old Triptrapp design from Norway. Been around since the 70s.
We’ve had our Tripp Trapp since our daughter was 6 months old as well(21 months now)! Love it so so much and love the fact that it grows with your child!
couldnt be happier with it such an amazing product for little ones
I have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old in Tripp Trapp now and they still love them 😁 great product!
My daughter is 11 and still uses it. It is a great versatile chair.

Thats bomb BUT im pretty sure the footrest is supposed to be pulled further to the front :) great video

The foot rest can be pulled out some more. You have it too far back.
I think it’s too far back as well but I have the same chair and the instructions say to put it like that 🤷🏻♀️
It is too far back. Should be 50/50 on either side of the legs. It does show this in the instructions
I came to say the same thing. It’s way too far back!
This was literally the only thing I could focus on 😅

I have this highchair as well and bought it for the same reasons! Love love love - no complaints
We had one, used for me and both my sisters. So started about 20 years ago and was in use for…over 10 years
Looks good. Is the foot part not the wrong way round though? Seems like she'd have more foot support with that rounded edge under her feet

In the Netherlands this is a very commonly used seat we call it a “trip trap”

The footrest should stick out more and be one lower her knees are high up
We really enjoyed this chair from when ours was a newborn since they have the newborn seat that you can add
My friend had this style chair growing up and they still use them as normal chair for the adults. They are also good if you have family with a variety of ages of kids cos there so adaptable.
I and my brother had that same wooden chair. He’s 27 now. We used these chairs till we were 11 or 12 they were awesome
I had that when I was younger it helped a lot
Thank you for sharing ❤

I have the same and love it. Been using dining table since day 1

Love this high chair
I used one of these until I was ~10. They’re amazing, can’t wait to use mine with my kids. They last forever.
Wow. They come up with such cool products today!
Right?!
This chair has been around in Europe for many years already 😁
We have the Hauck Alpha...its awesome! Our son doesn't even need a tray and can sit with us since he began to eat.
My friend had that when she was little & she still has it

Used this for one of my special needs students and he was also a dwarf. He can’t have his legs hanging so this chair was super handy!
I love how cute and simple your clothes are! Where do you mainly shop?
I had a chair like that and I used it until I was like 11, such a good investment
Every German 90s kid had this chair!
TripTrap is just the best
LOVE
Why do so many things that are good for your child have to be so unaffordable. 🤦🏼♀️ I love this high chair, such a good design
we used the ikea and made a foot rest for it! there is a company that sells a footrest for them too
You can easily get the ikea antilop chair for under 50 dollars and buy a foot rest made for it and not spend around 600 on this high chair in the video.
I love it
Stokke is the best, our sons sre grown up now.But we had Stokke for them. And they had them until they where in their teens

My high hair was this exact brand from 1993, my brother is going to use it for his child too!
I had one of these chairs when I was little and it was actually my dads before me
Where can I find this kind of chair?
WHAT IS THE HIGH CHAIR??? Why talk about it but not put a link?
Lol lol i love her face😂
Where can I buy this
Out of everything you said in this video what I learned is add peas to my pasta dishes for my toddler 😅

Exactly what I was thinking 😉

Too expensive for most people.
The Ikea highchair plus an attachable footrest are more attainable for more people
In Switzerland almost every kid owns a chair like this. And we call it "tripptrapp"

What’s the brand

What stops them from fully standing up and jumping out?
What’s it called

This is quite for quote from Emma Hubert
Every parent in Denmark has this chair. Trip trap. (Our’s is green)
We got one by the same brand but we had to remove the footrest because she kept on standing up in it and refusing to sit 🤦🏽♀️
haha thats okay maybe move it down one or two 😉
Mine does the same so I got the harness for him. Much better now ;)
Great info! Can you link the high chair?
It’s called a Stokke Tripp Trapp and it’s $300!! I think it’s ridiculous especially since as you can see the child doesn’t even keep their feet on the stand the mom keeps putting them back up

where do i get it? need a diff one for my 1 yr old
Pretty sure you can just Google trip trapp chair and many will come up
The only negative thing about these types of babaychairs is how often you will bump your feet into the wooden part at the ground…
In Germany we call Them tripp trapp :)
Yeah but for 300$? and that's without the cushion.. wish it was more affordable😢

Trip Trapp Chair
Because no other high chair has foot rests?
I wish my mom got that for me
My question is why do you even need a high chair? Like, babies don’t even sit at the table so why do they have to be that heigh
A Triptrap it grows with the Kid
😮
Push it to the front is to far behind.
It should be >90 degrees
Great idea...but pretty sure that foot stool should be turned around so the curved edge is at the front.
Yasss then they can STAND UP AND TRY TO CLIMB OUT
