    Phil, first and foremost, another great job. I know I say this all the time but it bears repeating, your narratives are at a level of quality that is rarely seen. The amount, quantity, and quality of the information presented are accurate, precise, and never verbose, and fun. What's also impressive is how concise your explanations are and the topic-related questions answered on the fly. Oh, and of course the video editing, mea culpa. Everything is at the top tier, (read "rare air") of our industry, especially for those of us who are mobile and use our home garages. I loved the new sprayer, battery operated. I know Marolex has an electric one overseas that hasn't made it to the states for some reason, so I think it will be replacing my Marolex, Axel 3000 which is my dedicated ONR sprayer with this new one because I really appreciate a continuous perfect pressure delivering a consistent spray or jet spray. Awesome.

    Awesome vid as usual! A great point about the crevices having crud in them. You never see that in a youtube vid. They just use a big mit or sponge to clean the truck or car with ONR and say it's clean, but I know from practice I have to use a detail brush to properly clean. Looking forward to the next vid!

And I feel your wife’s pain, I did a light polish on an Impala yesterday with LVR 404 and it glossed it up a bit but the swirls were ridiculous and I struggled not going to paint enhancement mode on it. Still, customer was happy and that’s what counts. Great job guys!

I often struggle to stop but I need to keep reminding myself the customer won’t pay more and their exceptions vs mine are a world apart. Love the video Phil! Just of interest, how to maintain the paint since these anchor fungi are going to attack again... is it just inevitable or can a good maintenance regime help?

    • @MirandaDetailing

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks. Speed varies depending on if I want to attack a scratch a little bit more. On these SPTA polishers there is only 3 speeds so we would back and forth on speed 2 or 3. So on any other polisher speeds 4-6

    Came across an artillery fungus truck this week or was asked what it was. Now the question is of ceramic coating or even sealant is applied does it help keep it from anchoring to the paint?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi. Coating certainly will help it not adhere to the paint. But it’s best if you remove them ASAP anyway. These spores are tenacious!

      Hi. Well Rupes is a nice machine. The company obviously made some deals with big companies and made sure to market it really well. But I don’t feel it’s the “best” polisher out there. Way to many choices now that are either the same or slightly better in my opinion.

    You clayed and used a machine applied AIO. Why did you say the service was not a paint enhancement? I could see you saying it was not a paint correction.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +3

      Because we were only trying to remove the marring we left behind. It wasn’t our usual paint enhancement service, but the paint responded so well when we did this light polish that it looked like we did an enhancement. Plus we didn’t charge for an enhancement as we usually would. Paint enhancements can mean different things to different Detailers also, so I use the term enhancement for our own method of services. Other Detailers may go heavier or even lighter depending on what they mean by their version of “enhancement”.

      @MirandaDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      Aw man that artillery fungus horrible stuff!! Make sure to really concentrate the clay with your fingers on each dot, it takes a lot of pressure on each little dot to remove them. If all else fails I have used a little block of 3000 grit wet sanding paper and quickly remove the dots. Then just compound and polish. 3000 grit is super easy to remove.

They get hot obviously. Would like to polish and protect. Water spots are the issue with exhaust pipes due to getting wet from rain, and more or less instantly getting dry from the heat. Most protectants just flashes away from heat. Also how about motorcycle seats? Cleaning and protecting? Seats getting exposed to lots of sun. Gosh I learn alot from watching your videos!! Thank you so much. Say big hi to the wife!

      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi. Thanks!
      For hot exhaust pipes I’m not sure if a dedicated wheel coating would work or bot. They are supposed to be more heat resistant.
      Try something like Gtechniq C5 bit.ly/2NUF28H or DLUX bit.ly/3d6rJe8 or Dr Beasley’s Metal coat bit.ly/39i1csV
      Or Renegade pipe dream, it has some protectants in it also bit.ly/2PusFAH. They may not last as long as intended because it’s so hot. But worth a try.
