Phil, first and foremost, another great job. I know I say this all the time but it bears repeating, your narratives are at a level of quality that is rarely seen. The amount, quantity, and quality of the information presented are accurate, precise, and never verbose, and fun. What's also impressive is how concise your explanations are and the topic-related questions answered on the fly. Oh, and of course the video editing, mea culpa. Everything is at the top tier, (read "rare air") of our industry, especially for those of us who are mobile and use our home garages. I loved the new sprayer, battery operated. I know Marolex has an electric one overseas that hasn't made it to the states for some reason, so I think it will be replacing my Marolex, Axel 3000 which is my dedicated ONR sprayer with this new one because I really appreciate a continuous perfect pressure delivering a consistent spray or jet spray. Awesome.
Wow! Thank you so much!! My hours of editing and producing are paying off!! 😁. We really appreciate it and this motivates us to continue to make things even better.
Great job Phil and wife
great video. He reminds me of Vince Vaughn lol
Amazing results !! Great job.
Great video! Thank you for all the info you give. 1st class
Great video, learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it!
I think this is the 3rd time you’ve shown artillery fungus. Thanks for the great info!
Yup. It’s a regular thing down here. 😎👍🏼
Huge difference just with some love and time, really nice results 👍😁
Excellent work as always.
Awesome vid as usual! A great point about the crevices having crud in them. You never see that in a youtube vid. They just use a big mit or sponge to clean the truck or car with ONR and say it's clean, but I know from practice I have to use a detail brush to properly clean. Looking forward to the next vid!
Only artillery fungus removal that worked for my car! No one else’s solution worked 🙌🏽 THANK YOU
Awesome! You’re welcome!! 😎👍🏼
I have used Turtle Wax bug and tar remover in a spray bottle it sprays on thick and creamy let sit a minute or 2 wipes them off like tar great job
You always find new cool tools.
Very informative! Great job.

Good Morning Phil. I’m not a Ford Product person. But that F-150 turned out 👍🏾👍🏾
Tell the wife and Misty👋🏾
Very informative. Awesome video thank you.
Thanks!
Greta video Phil
I hate those little black spore things! Pain in the butt! And I feel your wife’s pain, I did a light polish on an Impala yesterday with LVR 404 and it glossed it up a bit but the swirls were ridiculous and I struggled not going to paint enhancement mode on it. Still, customer was happy and that’s what counts. Great job guys!
Holy poopcheese Phil. Thanks for showing me that little blue machine. I can’t run my hose in winter when it’s -10 outside but I can use this machine in my garage and not worry about getting water everywhere
Exactly!!!
How do you know that machine? what is the name. Thanks
I made a video on it a while ago. czcams.com/video/CcVmGJa3PXs/video.html
Grea video
That portable washer is awesome!
It is!! We love this little thing.
@@MirandaDetailing definitely gonna have to invest in one myself!!
I really wish I would have seen this video last summer. LOL. Had an older white Ford Focus that had those all over it. The car needed compounded anyways so I just compounded the spores out after using a rounded piece of plastic to scrape top of it off
324th LIKE. 🙂.No skipping of advertisements. Superb information on detailing Phil 👌🚗💨
Thanks man!
I love your wife’s comment “ I want it to look better” ...classic comment from a detailer! I often struggle to stop but I need to keep reminding myself the customer won’t pay more and their exceptions vs mine are a world apart. Love the video Phil! Just of interest, how to maintain the paint since these anchor fungi are going to attack again... is it just inevitable or can a good maintenance regime help?
Thanks! Well if you catch these artillery spores soon enough they will pop right off and not anchor in. The longer they are on there the harder they are to remove.
Great job Phil
1:49 Raining - Maybe to buy a " portable " carport / cover for your driveway . And if it has open sides to put up clear plastic sheeting .
Hi. Yeah I’ve thought of that. Actually we are thinking of something else! 😎👍🏼
Great video Phil, what buffing speed # did u use on polishing the truck?
Thanks. Speed varies depending on if I want to attack a scratch a little bit more. On these SPTA polishers there is only 3 speeds so we would back and forth on speed 2 or 3. So on any other polisher speeds 4-6
Came across an artillery fungus truck this week or was asked what it was. Now the question is of ceramic coating or even sealant is applied does it help keep it from anchoring to the paint?
Hi. Coating certainly will help it not adhere to the paint. But it’s best if you remove them ASAP anyway. These spores are tenacious!
For chrome there is the French brand belgom chrome (made in the town of Chartres, it is the top of the French range!), which is a must for chrome! It would be good if you could try it one day ?!, there is also belgom alu for more aggressive polishing. But for chrome ,belgom chrome is top!
Cool! Thanks for the tip!
@@MirandaDetailing Wow, what a quick response! 👍 😉, did you like M799 ?, I loved it to maintain CQuartz lite !. I liked its visual appearance and the water-repellent side. Exactly what I was looking for. Now it's my # 1 top coat with hybrid ceramic detailer too.
We love that M799. Super easy to apply and great slickness and gloss. 😎👍🏼
Did you use the trim shine on the tonneau cover? If not, what did you use?
Nope. We just sprayed it with Hybrid Solutions wet wax becasue it was going right back into the rain later that day.
I use cheap walmart lacquer thinner wipes em right off with less marring.
I’ve tried lacquer thinner...it will remove fresh ones, as will pretty much anything. But ones that are baked on it wouldn’t even touch. 🤷🏻♂️
Hello Phil. Do you think a plastic razor blade would remove the fungus ?
Hi. We tried. It gets the top layer off but the bottom glue anchor needs clay barring.
@@MirandaDetailing Thanks for the reply.
Awesome tutural and video again buddy. Truck came out amazing. Ur cordless polishers probally paid 4 themselves.so much easier with cordless polishers.b well good friend
Good morning. I seen you use all type of polisher. But what makes rupes a flagship polisher for detailers
Hi. Well Rupes is a nice machine. The company obviously made some deals with big companies and made sure to market it really well. But I don’t feel it’s the “best” polisher out there. Way to many choices now that are either the same or slightly better in my opinion.
@@MirandaDetailing I’ve had great success with my Shinemate
Any tips on removing artillery fungus that has been sitting on paint for years?
I have tried absolutely everything, buffing/polishing, synthetic clay, soapy water, winded, even white vinegar!
Hi. If everything else has failed you may need to gently wet sand with 3000 grit. It’s super easy to compound the sanding marks.
I do residential window cleaning and this fungus is annoying on certain jobs. Stupid little dots!
You clayed and used a machine applied AIO. Why did you say the service was not a paint enhancement? I could see you saying it was not a paint correction.
Because we were only trying to remove the marring we left behind. It wasn’t our usual paint enhancement service, but the paint responded so well when we did this light polish that it looked like we did an enhancement. Plus we didn’t charge for an enhancement as we usually would. Paint enhancements can mean different things to different Detailers also, so I use the term enhancement for our own method of services. Other Detailers may go heavier or even lighter depending on what they mean by their version of “enhancement”.
I have been scrubbing on this crap for 3 days, spending about 4 minutes per dot scrubbing hard with rubbing alcohol. My Meguires clay bar doesn't touch it; ordering the Car Supplies Level 3 and will report back!
Aw man that artillery fungus horrible stuff!! Make sure to really concentrate the clay with your fingers on each dot, it takes a lot of pressure on each little dot to remove them. If all else fails I have used a little block of 3000 grit wet sanding paper and quickly remove the dots. Then just compound and polish. 3000 grit is super easy to remove.
Will the slick finish protect against new fungus? And how long will it last?
Hi. It helps to clean them off, but if they stay on the paint for to long they still bond.
3D Bug Remover
Ok. Wow truck was hammered. Very nice turn around. I don't have those mold spores. Thank goodness. Couple questions: what can I use on chrome exhaust pipes and the heat sheilds on motorcycles? They get hot obviously. Would like to polish and protect. Water spots are the issue with exhaust pipes due to getting wet from rain, and more or less instantly getting dry from the heat. Most protectants just flashes away from heat. Also how about motorcycle seats? Cleaning and protecting? Seats getting exposed to lots of sun. Gosh I learn alot from watching your videos!! Thank you so much. Say big hi to the wife!
Hi. Thanks!
For hot exhaust pipes I’m not sure if a dedicated wheel coating would work or bot. They are supposed to be more heat resistant.
Try something like Gtechniq C5 bit.ly/2NUF28H or DLUX bit.ly/3d6rJe8 or Dr Beasley’s Metal coat bit.ly/39i1csV
Or Renegade pipe dream, it has some protectants in it also bit.ly/2PusFAH. They may not last as long as intended because it’s so hot. But worth a try.
@@MirandaDetailing Dlux might work. 800 degrees rated. I can't believe pipes get that hot. Most of the body panels/body works on modern motorcycles are fiberglass and couldn't withstand 800 degrees. Warpage would occur I believe. I just wasn't sure there was products out there to handle high heat. Thanks Phil!!
Awesome!! Glad to help!
Will the clay bar keep the fungus from reappearing? Or could it regrow and reappear in those spots?
The fungus actually shoots from nearby moldy ground mulch. The clay bar is the way we remove the fungus from the paint.
@@MirandaDetailing Thank you!!!! I have six month old pearl white Toyota ChR and it suddenly COVERED all sides at once and I cannot figure out how that could happen all at once, the entire car! 😥

Always the dang artillery fungus. This video was before the make up of your nice Garage
They come from mulch parking too close to a mulch bed
Did u ask the trolls and haters if ur order of operations is ok?lol
see one day later
What do you mean?
that is a handy tool that presser tank
@@MirandaDetailing i understand you did this yesterday was friday its saturday
Oh yes I dropped the video yesterday.
Hate artillery fungus 😤
Same here man!!😡🥵
Great now I have to find a detailer , this is ridiculous, how do these things form so quickly and will it keep happening I live in Bakersfield California and I just got a Audi 2016 A3 and it’s dark grey and after 1 month it has 3 of these spots I’ve tried using Goo Gone but it didn’t work … I’m hoping it comes off with a detailer …
