You guys make this look easy , Great Team Work!
This was really helpful thank you especially for the wash one side at a time and how to avoid water spots
Wow! That is a lot of real estate to cover on that vehicle. Appreciate the pro tips on working out in the Sun. Great job guys. đ
Havenât had a chance to use my wireless SPTA DA polisher yet, but, Iâm impressed with the results that you have achieved on your videos. On hot days I pull the car into the garage late after sunset. Carpro eraser works on glass. Thank you for your pointers.
Phil awesome job looks great great tutorial for new comers and mobile detailers that do this on a daily basis awesome job as always be safe god bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr
I find that spraying the vehicle with a drying aid helps tremendously to decrease the chance of waterspots. Excellent video and tips as always sir!
Yeah bro I use superior wash n wax. 20$ a gallon a highly concentrated. Only way I can deal outside in florida
@@jimmyallen3850 Man im so glad i seen this comment...im also in FL and just finished getting everything ready to start mobile detailing and i have to say, the heat here has me worried, so i am interested in the product you mentioned and is it used just like any other drying aid?
Another great video Phil thanks for all the helpful tips and great content.
I just love truck details, especially when wheels and tires are like that. Great opportunity to try out some new products for those areas.
Nice one! đ
I work alone and I make sure to rinse the panels facing the Sun last and dry them right away. After the glass, that is.
That way the water stays on those hot surfaces the shortest amount of time and I rarely get water spots.
That works for me at 57 degrees North but may not work for everyone.
Try superior wash n wax. It's 20$ a gallon. Spray on wet vehicle and you will have 20 min to dry
I love meguiar's last touch D155, as a clay lubricant (or M34), and D156 x-press spray wax, it's madness as a topper for coating, hydrophobicity, darkening, shine ..!. Great job Phil! đ đ đ
Awesome!! Thanks!
I used the xpress spray wax today for the first time. I have to say I'm quite pleased
I would be standing on the tire to do the hood, Im smaller....it looks great, nice work you two!
Thank you for this information!
That was funny when you had to seal the entire grill đ great video
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!
Great to see you guys trying to detail a big black truck in the hot sun while Iâm up here in Canada waiting for our season to start up again. Believe me bro winter is long for a detailer. Bye the way, great video as always. But ya left out my favourite part, Wheels & Tires. Just kiddin, I just thought that when there that big, ya know.
Thanks! THis one was filmed last summer! đ I know....A little late, I have so many older videos in my archive that still need to be edited. đŹ
Haha that cheeky doggo!
Great job just ordered last touch From Campbell's Mobile Detailing
Wow I got 3 full bottles of that meguiars paint protection I been having it in my supplies crate almost two years I brought it from Dollar Tree a buck each I never seen it in stores since then now I know what to use it for Thanks
Ok he got me to subscribe with this one lmao great tutorial an great video. Thanks man
Beautiful truck, beautiful work
Good Morning Miranda Detailing (Phil and Wife). That Black Chevy Truck looks awesome after the Detail. Keep those tips and videos coming. And keep that dog away from that wheel.
Hi Phil. Can you recommend a god cleaning solution for cleaning seat/shoulder/lap belts? The color is tan. Thanks
Seatbelts are very difficult to clean and they donât always come out that great. I usually just use the same cleaners as everything else. But after doing some research over saturating seatbelts can actually degrade the material and it could be a liability/safety issue for customers. I lightly clean them and if they donât clean up I donât go any further.
Thanks Phil đđŸ
As always you killed it boss đ
Truck came out awesome! But Phil, please please please be careful in that sun. I know it probably wouldn't work with the headset Go Pro, but a lifeguard style straw hat would help you out tremendously and protect you from that blazing sun.
Awesome content as usual, keep it up!
Thanks! Oh yeah I know. I do have a large brim hat I sometimes use on really brutal days. Plus coconut water is a MUST!! Lots of sun screen also helps. đđđđŒ

That dog gave a nice 'outro' Phil :-)
The dog omg lol đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Deionized water is a must for me even in the shade. My water reads around 430 ppm. If any water drops dry you can easily tell especially in my black cars. Itâs also a real pain to remove them.
RV water filters help a lot.screw right onto a faucet.
Love CG Citrus wash&gloss. One of the first soaps Iâm spoiled now
Nice video brother love it đđŒ
Use feynlab all purpose dressing on the trim. Youâll like it a lot better than the meguiars and it works amazing
Good. Work like always
Plenty of drying sprays that help when washing in direct sunlight. When working on black paint. I donât have a problem where any black paint is damaged from water spot. If you have any it removes with just spray wax or glass cleaner.
Awesome detaiking how to in the sun.
Dang dog did ya dirty lol. Thanks for the informative content đ
đ
Nice video I like the da system works amazing.
Hi! Can you use something like the last coat after the clay bar instead of polishing after the wash?
Hi. You could, but the clay mitt process leaves some marring on the paint that we just want to leave. So we machine apply the sealant and the mechanical action of the polisher and pad eliminate the marring.
In your opinion, is it essential to go through training before using a polisher for the first time? Obviously not to use it for anything too intrusive, just a simple polish. Curious to hear your thoughts?
Hi. No itâs not absolutely needed. Thatâs up to each person. I learned on my own but it took a while. Training is great if you want to fast track yourself and learn faster. I think each person has to consider whatâs best for them.
Great video!
excellent work
Very helpful guys, thank you!! How long does stoners trim shine last?
Thanks! If it doesnât rain to often a few weeks.
Great job
Great job .. what I use is wash & wax soap from 3D & Original clay magic 3D Speed technicians choice spray wax Chemical guys windows cleaner for the water I use the $20 Rv filter from Walmart
I tested the camco water filter and it only lowered the tds about 30. After about 10 gallons the tds went back to normal.
Question, how do you apply the wax with the machine without damaging the paint? You did great!
Hi. Using a polisher with a soft pad will quickly and gently apply any wax or sealant on the paint better than anyone could by hand. It doesnât damage the paint in any way. This is an example czcams.com/video/bpw8Wr9fv58/video.html
aww Phil, i'm sitting here in the polar north Scotland, wishing i was there helping (I have the new AM Hybrid range to test out on my Outback (car currently buried âââ)!!! @@MirandaDetailing ah, thought your were somewhere warmer on the east coast, well at least you have your enhanced garage to use if need be too đ
Oh yes indeed! Loving my heating system in here!!!
Did she spray APC on the lower part of the truck or just the rims? Great video!!
We sprayed it on tires, wheels, and lower portions of the paint
Hello sir, great video as always, do you get any grinding like sound when cutting on or off ever from your spta polisher
Hi Yeah they do sound a little different then the refined Rupes Polishers, I have heard of guys opening up the head and replacing the grease for the gears. That may help it thats a concern.
@@MirandaDetailing So the grinding sound is normal if so will it go away or should I just return and get a new one
Is it really noticeable? I hear noice with all my machines but I guess I get used to it. If itâs something you are concerned about I would return it and get another one and see if itâs just the way it sounds or if itâs a defect.
I use a water filter system it's ÂŁ36 on amzon. Vedio will be uploading soon
Good job by the way keep it upđ
How'd you deal with blowing dust/sand out on the farm during the detail? I'd be afraid I'd get some of that on the paint and cause more marring
Well when mobile you just have to deal with things like that. But unless we are polishing thatâs not an issue. We work quickly and if itâs super dusty then we can just use the air compressor to blow of some dust. Honestly we never have a problem with blowing dust. As you can see the paint is not in perfect condition and this is a farm vehicle. So any potential marring isnât even a concern here. If this was a fancy sports vehicle that would be different....but then again we wouldnât detail an expensive vehicle in conditions like this, unless again the owner didnât care. đđđŒ
I was wondering do you think itâs effective to have an extra bottle of water just to spray spots where there are a few water spots and wipe with another clean microfiber towel?
Hi. Great idea! That certainly helps.
wow Phil.great video and tips good friend.
Iâm having kind of a tough time washing out in the sun I do it right outside garage door like you and then pull it inside, I do have filtered water but the trees are always super windy and tree debri/pollen blowing onto the car, super hot even with filtered water still dries up I gotta work faster and get the car inside.
How do you wrap up and store all your hoses after washing at your home garage ?
This is our pressure washer and hose setup. We have a hose reel for the hose.

@@MirandaDetailing Thank you!! Great process.
Hello Phil. What do you think about the Adams 15 mm cordless compared to the spta 15 mm cordless
Hi. I have talked to some people who got the Adams instead and said itâs nice. But they canât source batteries for it and Adamâs wonât sell them batteries separately, that makes a huge difference in my decision.
Another good video!!!
Thanks!
Looks great! Whats the cost for this svc ?

What time of day is this, what temperature is it outside and where are you located? If you don't mind me asking.
Hi. We are in Chesterfield Virginia, summers here can reach high 90âs and high humidity! I think this day we started in the afternoon around 1ish.
Cool thank you
How much for this wash? And where in va are you exactly? I'm always looking for a good quality and thorough

Hi. we currently use this foamer amzn.to/3sJ6h8t. and this hose amzn.to/3mBP24Z
Being that the tap water at house has a TDS of about 460 I'm going to rain harvesting. Rain water has a TDS about 60-70 where I live and snow has a TDS of only 7. I installed two rain barrels at my house and a 275 gallon water tote in my garage to collect rain water.

I gotta ask...u like last touch? I used it at a dealership I worked at and thought it wasnt much more than straight water. And I haven't seen any videos on it them again I never searched for them yet either. I coulda been doing things wrong too
Hi Oh yeah! We love it! maybe you got a bad batch? Did they water it down? When used straight it's awesome!
@@MirandaDetailing I'm not sure if it was watered down. I got it from a dispenser and never bothered to look or ask. Probably was then
Ah yes, that sounds right coming from a dealership. You should buy it for yourself and try it. đđđŒ
Man I was washing a black truck 2 weeks ago soap dried on me water spots from hell I was running around like a a MFr. gonna use these steps next time!
Could a detail spray help you dry the car to activate as you go?
Bummer,waterspots,superman ,kryptonite....đš
Keep it wet until you finish washing the vehicle. Then us spray wax on everything or Onr detail mix. It will give you time to dry. Or just do last rinse with onr in your water. Good luck!
Good point. Keeping it wet is exactly what we do. At least we donât have to worry about hard water here. But for others thatâs a great tip! Thanks for sharing.
Simple: Wash half & Rinse half, preferably the sunny side first, cause it will dry quicker leaving soap streak marks
what clay mitt do you recommend?
We use these. amzn.to/3bwV6oW
What kind of water do you have?
Itâs not bad at all, we donât use a DI system or another thing. We have never had issues with out water. Our new place has a whole house sediment filter for our well.
whats the temp? I am in southern utah (near Las Vegas) where it is super hot...100+ in the summer and dry. in the summer it doesn't get down below 90 even in the middle of the night.
Hi The temps in the summer here range between 90-100 degrees on average. plus horrible humdity!
@@MirandaDetailing so it's safe then huh? Good to know. Been working on building a side gig of mobile detailing here. My first regular is a black dodge ram and I've been wondering how to make it work as it heats up
Well it's no walk in the park. đ but it can be done. Sometimes we just have no choice. We would rather they drop their vehicle off at our garage now, but when we need to be mobile this is how we do it.
what was the temperature out that day?
Hi. Probably about mid 90âs
How do you prevent the windshield from cracking due to the heat?
Hi. What do you mean? Have you had or seen windshields cracking from heat?
Iâve always heard that if you spray cold water on a hot windshield, there is a high chance of the windshield cracking
@@mram7715 Oh I see. Nope. That doesn't happen. Same goes with a cold windhsields and hot water. Windhshields only crack like that if they already had a compromised area around the edges. but i ave never had one crack like that.
Does Stone trim shine last longer than Meguiar's Ultimate Black Trim Restorer?
It depends on weather and how often it washes. Stoners trim shine is a little easier to work with than Megs. But both work really well!
@@MirandaDetailing awesome thank you. I have never used it so itâs good to get advice from you since you probably use it daily. đ
Youâre welcome!
Wait so can you wash the car and clay bar it at the same time and right after that put a new spray coating/sealant on the car without a polish?
Well as we demonstrated in the video we used our DAp polisher to apply the sealant. The mechanical action of the polisher will remove the minor marring from the clay bar or mitt. I would just apply a spray product without at least doing a very light polish to remove the marring.
@@MirandaDetailing thank you
What kind of detail belt you have in this vedio
Hi. It this one czcams.com/video/5q0apszjRTA/video.html
Our water in Florida is SO hard. I have to use DI water in direct sunlight. I learned the hard way one time and a 2 hour detail turned in 4 because I was chasing the water spots out spoke about.
Fellow Floridian here, can confirm. Same exact thing happened to me lol!
Yeah it does depend on what water youâre dealing with. Have you tried using ONR in your shampoo to help with water spots?
Also did machine applying protection like a wax or sealant help remove those fresh water spots? Sometimes I do get spots but since they are fresh they come right off when machine applying protection.
@@MirandaDetailing I have not, but I just saw it suggested in the comments and I am going to try it. Love ONR by itself so I'm honestly excited to give it a go!
Also yes. I had to whip out the SPTA to remove the water spots as they were just not coming off any other way. You live and you learn though lol
@miranda detailing... I am not a fan of ONR used it and didnât like it. I have tried many other rinseless wash Solutions and the water is way to hard. Plus direct sunlight in Florida at 95 degrees the water evaporate so fast.
@@barrycook8116 I have the same issue. Here are some tips: I use distilled water, purchased at any grocery store, and mix that in a spray bottle with ONR. Zero water spots.
I also have a filter on my shower head. So I use a 5gal bucket with a screw top lid and fill it up using the filtered shower head. It's not perfect, but it does reduce water spots about 90%. You could also fill the bucket with distilled water but it would cost about 5 bucks to fill the bucket so not sure if its worth it.
ONR in direct sunlight does dry super fast. But using distilled water I don't get spots, just streaking. However this can be easily corrected by spraying some more ONR on the streaks. Hope this helps.
How much would you charge for a service like this?
Hi. Our full details start at $275-$300
What if my apc or citrus wash dries on the paint, does it ruin the paint?
Hi. So we have never had major issues with the APC or soap drying on the paint. If it does we just reactivate it with water while rinsing. Sometimes if it does dry and causes some streaks they will come out easily with a light polish.
@@MirandaDetailing thank you so much ! Love the content
Youâre welcome!
Haha dang dog, great work!

My biggest problem has been water spots on the glass......it heats up faster in the sun.
Have you used MeguIars 205 in direct sunlight?
Yeah I have. It still works great. Just keep the polishing area smaller.
@@MirandaDetailing thatâs good to know, as I donât have any other option but work with it outside đ
How long does the seal take last
It depends on how the vehicle is maintained. Usually up to 6 months. But if not washed correctly with good soaps or brought through tunnel washes maybe 3 months.
What kind of pressure washer are you using sir

Hi! I forgot to mention that RV filter, I used to use one, but then I found it didn't make a difference for us. But that's awesome that it DOES actually work for you to help with water spots! I have to say the SPTA cordless is awesome. Batteries are not difficult to come by anymore, I bought these amzn.to/2NmR4qE and this charger amzn.to/374SmxU. You can buy either the official Makita Batteries or the after-market ones, its your choice. But I haven't had any problems with the aftermarket ones, Battery life is dependant on how much usage at different speeds.
