I have the ADX1 and a Shoei neotec and to be honest considering the Shoei is more than twice the price, the Scorpion is a fabulous lid for a ADV style helmet, I would definitely recommend it.

Owner here, (3 months daily riding). The paper thin peak vibrates like mad from 70km/h. When it is a windy day it is untolerable at 70, otherwise you can do short distances at 90 but not comfortably. Peak angle is wrong too. (manufacturer should take lessons from oneal mx helmet designers) Noise insulation is OKish (similar to AGV tourmodular). Taking the peak off: not easy at all, that little transparent plastic piece gets stuck on the threading of the screw. When it comes off and you drop it, you will loose it since it is transparent. Also the screw gets loose all the time. It will fog up even with pinlock below 15C and wet/humid weather. Not as much as other helmets but not enough airflow is directed onto the visor inside. The chin part touches your chin when closing it. Would give the helmet 3 stars out of 5.

I can't drive with the peak, it vibraties so hard it shakes my helmet and my vision gets blurry. It's due to the windscreen, when I stand up it's fine. Flimsy design, thinking of reinforing it with epoxy

I had the exactly same experience, the vibration starts around 65 kph and on 100 kph (60 mph) the whole bucket shakes like crazy.. and indeed if you stand up the vibration stops.
I'll try to adjust my windscreen, first up and if that's not helping then down :)

... and since getting its DOT sticker it's coming to the U.S. in late February or early March as the EXO-AT960! The AT-950 (ADX-1?) fit fairly well, but I did notice that there was a wee bit of pressure on the forehead possibly similar to what MCM mentioned. For that reason I ordered a size larger for the 960. Let's see how that works out.

@@theamishhitman71 There is still some pressure on the forehead but is much less noticeable. The helmet is still quite new and not completely broken in. An adventure helmet should have plenty of room around the mouth for more extreme breathing while exerting yourself on the trails. The 960 doesn't seem to have that. In fact, my lower lip and chin sometime come in contact with the chin bar. It is a minor issue, but worth mentioning. All other features are fine. For the price it is a great helmet.

There is a thick seam on the left and right of the inner lining that puts extreme pressure on the temples. After a short time I got a bad headache. I cut out this seam. Now he sits well. The pin-lock visor gets very foggy after a short time, so I have to keep opening the visor and wiping it clean with my finger. So I can see something.
It could be that the visor that keeps fogging up is just my helmet. There is a thick plastic button on the inside of the chin section. In an accident your chin would break. Otherwise the helmet is comfortable and quiet. The umbrella on the forehead provides good protection from the low sun, but it wobbles back and forth. You also have to keep tightening the screws.
Otherwise the helmet would be really good if there wasn't this thick plastic lump of ventilation mechanism on the inside of the chin section, which is very dangerous. Normally the chin part should be padded on the inside. But with this helmet everything is made of hard plastic, and there is also this hard nub from the ventilation mechanism. I can only advise against this helmet!

I got the very similar scoprion exo tech and really wanted to like the helmet...not least because I bought it for a very long (18 months!) overseas touring trip and it won't be easy to replace it. Reasons for purchasing it after an extended session at sportsbike shop Boston trying on every possible adventure/modular helmet in my size.. 1. It was lighter than my current elderly modular HJC; 2. The visor is huge giving superb viz. and comes with a pinlock 3. The sunvisor is optically excellent. 4. It felt like it would have excellent airflow for hot climes. 5. The flip over chin bar makes for an airy helmet when doing slow riding/off road/border crossings etc. However, after wearing it now for nearly 3 solid months every day on tarmac and dirt, it just feels cheap, creaky, and noisy, and I really don't think it will last another 6 months. The flip over mechanism is already graunchy, and the sunvisor slidebar mechanism no longer works, so I have to try and pull the sunvisor down manually with my fingers. The wind noise that comes through the modular side joints when the wind is coming from the side is awful and opens my cardo comms unit causing my partner to hear white noise. Honestly if I was back in the UK this helmet would have gone back and if I had to choose now I wouldn't get a modular at all but a simple light full face. BTW...really like the way you do gear reviews and not disagreeing with yours, just sharing my experience with similar scorpion👍
