This is fantastic. The commentary alone is funny as hell but the editing work you do takes it to a whole other level. I'm hooked.
They were really hard on this movie, but I do find it to be an enjoyable watch. It's got a goofy spirit to it, but knows how to be serious at times. I do think Renard is a very underwhelming villain, though. Robert Carlyle was much less threatening here than he was in Trainspotting.

On a school trip to Tower Bridge we saw them filming the river bit in that black speedboat. Someone told it was the new James Bond film being produced and I, irritating little shit as I was at age 9 or 10, shouted off the bridge “OI! JAMES BOND!”
To which Pierce Brosnan, or more likely his stunt double, turned and waved at us.

Regarding the set design, there are some bland sets but there are some good ones like Maiden's Tower, Elektra's home, and I had no problem with the underground chamber.

The World Is Not Enough is what i'd imagine a Christopher Nolan attempt at a Bond-flick would look like.
A few nicely executed stunts, terrible dialogue and an ultimately unsatisfying and boring experience.
Don't forget the unconvincing romance.
