Chael you literally turned millions of people into mma fans your legacy is solidified
THIS^^^^ Chael is the original trash talker and brought so many eyes on the sport
He's added a technical understanding for us non fighters. He teaches me so much. Now that I understand the science so much more, I'm way more into MMA. All leagues, not just the ufc.
Agree 💯
Chael Sonnen is seriously one of the best in the business. I mean let's be real, he would fight anyone anytime. No weight issues during his fights and always ready to throw it down.
He may not have won the UFC/Bellator title but he won our heart.
Totally agree.
Chaels biggest regret is not letting anyone win a round he felt bad for his opponents
Unless you count the round against Anderson Silva that he tapped thinking that meant the end of the round not the fight 😆😆
Uncle Chael’s biggest regret during his MMA career is definitely retiring undefeated, undisputed. He didn’t pass the torch to the next generation.
His biggest regret is being too good. That the next generation will feel subpar no matter what they do, because they can't outdo uncle chaels undefeated, undisputed resume.
That is getting old
Lol he wasent even close to the best fighter
Jim C: you’re the prime example of why Chael should’ve taken it a bit easier on younger guys. Too good, Too repetitive, Too GOAT.
@@Cognitoman r/woooosh
Chael P Sonnen: 31 wins by ko, 17 by submission, 1 win by the opponent verbally tapping out as soon as the fight started because he saw the biggest arms in west Lynn Oregon. Undefeated. undisputed. untested.
Also 5 wins by staredown the opponent's to verbally tapout in the very first round
No you are wrong he have 48 win by defaut
He definately got tested though.... Failed for too high test levels, even though he never used a PED in his life. Now that's a gangster
Untested..if you don't count USADA
Small Correction. WEST LINN
Killing Dudes in the Octagon should'nt be a regret for you Uncle Chael.
Chael Sonnen fought literally everyone. I don't think he should have any regrets apart from staying alive just 1 minute and 50 seconds more against Anderson Silva to beat him.

@@scottmalkinson9545 which fight are you referring to?

The second Paulo fihlo fight where he won but Paulo missed weight so the belt wasn’t on the line
@@lakehouse1607 I didnt know that, crazy!
Chaels shirt: "My biggest regret is thinking I'd fit over this guys biceps"
"Nothing bad comes from working out"
My torn acl: okay great
How it happen if u don’t mind me asking
That's exactly what my back said before my discs ruptured!
Chael: I think im gonna wear this shirt today
Shirt: Ok, great.
That shirt doesn't know how lucky it is, its as close as possible to the biggest arms this side of the Mississippi
That shirt is my hero now
That shirt, the real mvp
Idk what that shirt is made of to contain those arms
Chael Sonnen is the Womens Pick and the Mens Regret and this is a very real thing
Ok great
@Cobra85291 Right, ok great
And has been a very real thing for a meaningful period of time
You're a liar 👽
Oh, and by the way
Chaels biggest regret is not asking “where does Kevin Lee fit into this?” Earlier
Khabib vid: 6 min
Chael being the internet’s dad: 14 min
Priorities: straight
Build: different
Hotel: Trivago
@@jewl123 you're a god damn Internet genius.
Underrated Comment
2:07 4:46 and 8:12 for those looking for all the leg crosses.
Lmao
Not exactly Sharon stone.
Circles are a very real thing and they roll to the highest of levels.
You should have no regrets Chael, your career was perfection
Exactly chael p. sonnen, p stands for perfection
AMEN
Never lost a round
Kenny Venegas - I fuckin hate this joke
Yes he was undefeated but he did lose 2 rounds in his career
1 to Bisping and 1 to Silva
Chael P Sonnen and the P stands for GANGSTER
Kenny Venegas - Bro I was kidding and what joke?
Chael is 49-0
All I’m saying is that he has lost 2 rounds in his career
I think he regrets not ever letting anyone get close.
We all know you regret not allowing one of your opponents to win a round against you.
My biggest regret as a fan is not seeing Chael make Tito tap live
#titotapped
same :(
Chael's only regret is having legs so muscular they require the assistance of both of his huge biceps to move them
Wow! Chael Sonnen has never lost a fight, never lost a round and STILL has regrets about his career. True warrior.
Chael absolutely outclassed bisping when they fought.
This is genuinely such a good lesson for anyone to learn. Make your condition workouts sport specific!
Thanks Uncle Chael
Beautiful sentiment, very well said. I feel like I have done the same very thing with my lifelong pursuit. I have my eyes open now thanks!
Love that chael always shows respect to the coaches who trained him, good man.
"Discipline is never an end in itself, only a means to an end."
"Relaxation is never accidental."
I sound like a broken record but Chael is just awesome!
Shit, your record is just fine. I'll play that tune all day too
That he is
Lisette Elise Paris I’ll play that record in the background as I binge watch chaels videos
This is probably my favorite Chael blog. A real dope perspective here
Thanks chael, always good to hear and learn from the Ogs,amateur mma 6-0 from Curitiba,Brazil here.....
The philosophies laid out in this video are so informative. Thanks Chael.
Excellent advise, ty for sharing your years of wisdom
Great, valuable insight, Chael. Thanks for that.
Great and thought provoking video, Chael. Thank you!
Love you, Chael. I love your work. Thanks!
This is a real thing Uncle Chael offer us. A good question with answers
Your career hasn't ended this is the flow on effect
You had the "opportunity" and this is your life and we have the honour to watch it
Chael your videos helped make me fall in love with the UFC. Thanks GOAT
Do you regret beating dethroning Anderson Silva?
Don’t worry, the throne was always yours
he was the only one that had Anderson beat ...almost anyways ...hey Anderson silva was in my opinion the greatest fighter in ufc history ...he was better than jon jones , who cheated with steroids ,before his injury he had beat everybody ,legends in 2 weight classes 2.
Really enjoying these vid casts. You’ve got a strong talent for verbalizing your thoughts. Enjoying very much
What’s your biggest regret?
Chael: why aren’t tyres triangles?
Uncle Chael this wisdom came at a very crucial time, this knowledge wasn't revolutionary to me, however it has definelty reminded me of some past ideals and training methods, thank you.
Thank you for this 🙏🏻🔥
Guys, everyone! Chael - it’s an AirDyne bike. Pronounced air-dine. I own one and four times a week it wants to kill me. Anything above 60 RPM for more than a minute increases your chance of dying both exponentially and instantaneously. 80 RPM is crazy!
I was really hoping, that right at the end of this beautiful monologue, right there in its last second, he would drop "..and thus my biggest mistake in my mma carrier, was letting Anderson Silva triangle me"
Thankyou Uncle Chael.
Well said uncle chael and awesome references👍🎯
Love the channel chael keep it up
Chael “motivation’s tough to come by” Sonnen
Real talk you’re one of the reasons why I’m fighting uncle Chael
You are bigger than many champs. Good career and great entertainer.
Chael was the first to weaponize pocadot shirts.
Very insightful sir.
Great video!!
Chael "why are tires round analogy " Sonnen
Goodyear? Not 2020. Toyo the tires you need if you want to be fast & furious.
Love you Chael
Nice video bro💪🏻
We had a saying in the infantry" train as you fight " we also used things like sprints as a tool to be better
SHARP & EO training to win wars haha
It's not bad to lift weights, it's bad to lift weights without purpose and intention. A properly periodized training program will always benefit any athlete in any sport.
I used to work out at a gym with a professional body builder. He taught me to start out with the lightest weight and perfect your form before you moved up in weight. Slow and steady before you go hard and fast.
Legend has it his daughter is still wandering in the lands behind the chair
Very good video chael
Ideally, you train smarter and harder. That's why you need a great coach.
square tyres go cluck cluck, i love u Chael.
Nice video mate
This is so relevant in sports today - for fitness - do what you will be doing in your sport. I had a cricket coach that has a Doctorate in Sports Medicine. He was our cricket coach - and he used to say - the only time you jog, is for warm up, to get your heart rate up. He said - if you want to jog 5 miles a day - then do so if you run road races. We jogged for warm up, and for fitness, we sprinted - a lot. Because in cricket, you sprint most of the time - fielding a ball, running between the wickets. So your comment on jumping rope for boxing, MMA is 100%. Unless you're Connor McGregor who starts jogging in the octagon when he's tired, there is no reason to jog. Rugby and soccer - you can jog, but NOT at an easy pace, because you'll also have times when you need to sprint. And in rugby and soccer - speed is everything. The other thing on fitness for these sports where you sprint - is to do the sprints with short rest periods in between, to teach your body to recover faster. So we would sprint from one end to another, then walk or jog back slowly. I love your Channel - just working too hard the last few weeks to catch all your videos.
Chael's biggest regret is retiring undefeated.
His biggest regret is never losing a round cause that would make him seem more human then he actually is and get more affection from audience and fans. But he stayed on the righteous path of being undefeated and undisputed out of principle. People paid to see him never go down and not to be entertained.
Unc just made me rethink my workout right before i stepped into the gym at 7am 🤔
I love you Chael. Coming up on 300 millions views on here
I played basketball in highschool. We shared the gym with the wrestling team. Our coach was good buds with the wrestling coach. So we would train a 1/2 hour a day with the wrestlers during training camp. I never puked so much in my life. They station trash barrels around the gym to puke in. We did Z drills. Sprint to certain lines on the court and at the end do 30 push-ups and alternate with the chin up racks. It was unbelievable for a 17 year old kid. Awesome. Nothing but deep admiration for wrestlers.
That shirt is an entire vibe.
When I used to box i got shin splints very bad and had to sideline some roadwork. My coach had me do stationary bikes but it wasnt cutting it for me. His next idea was start sprint swimming. I would never swim in a boxing ring and was skeptical at first but that season was the best gas tank and conditioned I ever was. I always push people to do hard swimming a couple months before a wrestling match or boxing match now. Might have been mental but not being able to breathe and digging deep to keep under and push to the end really helped ME out.
Shin splits are no joke my bro was out for two years in a row for high school basketball he missed all of it due to shin splits
Chael regrets never repairing his relationship with his father...Chuck Norris
Actually we did talk. We worked everything out...
When I did training for fighting, I would do pushups and light weights. I felt light on my feet, but I also felt strong and had very well off condition.
Chael your Bad Guy Inc is the best, Dan Hardy is a guy id love to see get back in there, he is also a great voice to listen too, cheers
Chaels MMA career isn't over, He may not fighting but I'd rather listen to chael that most other MMA "journalists". This bad man has brought more fans to MMA than most current fighters will.
its called "grease the groove", mainstream popularized by Pavel Tsatsouline way back , he has helped many champions across a wide range of sports, and this concept is still relevant today. Not only does it makes sense, its the best approach in every way in terms of level, energy at disposal, time and your given sport. Do your thing at your best, rest and then do it again. sounds simple enough but good candidates fall into weird routines still even to this day, ok great
Studies show that long distance runners improve their performances when weight training is also involved
When I wrestled in HS my dad bought an aerodyne, kept it by the TV. I could easily cut weight by hopping on the bike then going to the sweat bath. 30 minutes alternating between the 2
Man good f video!!!!!
This is what I was wondering. In both of the areas I wrestled at were very successful at weaponizing pace but I was more of a strength guy so I always wondered if I would be better off not doing so much cardio and doing more weight lifting. I felt like I hit a wall in wrestling where I wasn't getting any better. I wished I would have had someone like Khabib who wasn't very technically sound to show me aggression and strength matters more than technique with take downs.
Chanel sonnen. In regards to exercises that translate to on mat skill. The answer is that sprints, bike, etc are ways to increase heart. Strength(in all ways physical and emotional) risk free of accidental injury that always accompanied drilling and other practice for combat sports.
So while they were not completely applicable to mat skill they reduce the risk of injury while at the same time increasing some other physical or mental aspect of the athlete.
There you have it
Something bad came from me working out yesterday morning I got the worst tooth ache I've ever had. The tooth was bad but the workout caused it to start hurting me badly.
Baseball's Johnny Hustle (Pete Rose) knew the secret of using pace as a weapon as well.
GSP's coach on JRE talked a very different and unique approach to training philosophy.
I reccomend the wheel barrow full of rocks or sand all day from 8AM-5PM 5 days a week 😂 theres a work out
I get u Chael! Todays training methods are not yet reached perfection by any human but for sure they have got better and still getting better. I just wanna say this so u don't have to regret so badly, maybe the way u trained was very good for u because like if u only trained sport specific movements u could have got more injuries so all the sprinting and aero bikes are necessary because u can mix up ur training and train more by doing that and preventing injuries.
Sorry for the name I made this account when I was 9 years old and sorry for broken english It is my second languange
The spinning back fist against Anderson was the absolute biggest regret
Holy shit Roy Pittman
Like at peninsula park ????
I wrestled there!!
Come on chael we all get it but you were the first one of your kind in mma and you led the path for so many other great!
The chael that fought Andersen the first time could make adesanya go damn it I can't keep this guy off me
i think when he tapped out the last 15 seconds in the 5th round for the strap, with the spider.
Bought myself a rogue airbike bout 3 years to help condition for my jiu jitsu comps. Those 20/10 are a modafocka!!
This was the John Smith approach: to be a better wrestler, he wrestled. He didn't lift weights, or condition, or cut a ton of weight. His match against Sarkissian echoes the physical disparity between Adesanya and Costa. Smith was a guy who wrestled very very well but would come in last in any bodybuilding contest.
I think there would be more than one answer for this question. At what point in your mma career are we talking about. Are we going by every 3-5 years over the 2+ decades of said mma career. Or is it in it's entirety. It's definitely a complicated answer. it's pretty amazing watching so many fighters get better through the years and fighting into their mid-forties. Impressive!
I don’t know what he’s talking about but I like what he’s saying
Chael you a legend, just pass the knowledge
I fucking love this channel
Chael's shirts just keep getting tighter and tighter
Well here I was sitting here thinking spinning back fist. Joking. I respect the shit out of this man
after 69 fights and 420 rounds, all undefeated, I'm listening to Chael
