- After listening to @startug_real AI extenstion of his mix of this piece, I really wanted to take a spin on it.
I think after years of remaking this a few times, I'm with a mix I am happy with thanks to Kristian for helping to recreate the lead instrument that made the Travelling Theme unique at the time. But in regards to the AI mix, it just took the chords somewhere that I just thought sounded great and even wished I had the same idea 8 years ago when I first made this. Technology has advanced to amazing levels now to the point that it's writing music for us...crazy.

Hey everyone.
Just a quick message. While I know a lot of you enjoy the recreations of O'Donnell and Campbell's legendary work for TTTE. I'd also really appreciate if you'd take a look at music I've written too. I'm looking to experiment and expand as a composer to test my range and ideas, the Thomas stuff is nostalgic and everything but the original works is what I really enjoy to work with. Legit dude when I saw this my eyes started welling up with tears. I love the traveling theme so much and there's so many different versions of it. There's the original version, the shortened version, the version with no lead, there's instrument maniacs version of it, and now there's a extended remaster! This theme is definitely your magnum opus Ty fantastic work as usual!

Given how many times I've listened to the original, the new additions were unexpected, but quite the enjoyable surprise! I daresay a fine inclusion to the overall repertoire.
I've been dying to hear a full version of this for a long time ever since I first heard the original, and just seeing this instantly fulfilled my dream and made my day.
I also really like how you incorporated new parts inspired by an AI's take on expanding the song (I assume startom160 used Jukebox AI for that). It just shows that there's good that can come out of the tech if used well. Taking what the machine spat out initially and reforming it into something even greater with a human's touch.

You know, I'm not much of an RnB guy. And this track has always been one of my... I guess least favorites? I've never disliked it, but I never went out of my way for a replay, if you know what I mean.
That being said, I don't know, something about listening to this mix, maybe it's just today, my mood, or whatever it is. But I can really jam to this.
And as for why I mentioned RnB. That bit from :20 to :46, I can just hear someone rapping/soul singing over that. It's like... Almost impossible not to hear it.
I actually appreciate that because this tune is probably the only original I’ve written that actually holds any weight because it’s Thomas-y and I’d rather the others get recognition. But yeah the R&B sound is strong with this one, very early-mid 90s vibe.
Job well done Ty! You hit it out of the park with this one, as I didn't even realize that this was an original composition until maybe halfway through! This piece sounds straight out of Series 1 or 2, no joke. Keep up the great work man, can't wait to see what you do next 🙂

The higher pitch is so weird after listening to the original one for so long. But its still fire. And I can probally tune it down to the pitch the old one has tbh. So cheers mate
This is the original pitch of the actual theme, the reason why the older extension was slightly flatter because I forgot the tune up the audio. It was originally supposed to be this.

Just a question, can you make my OC Alex a theme? Just to give you some info because you probably don’t know much about him:
He used to work an old mining line in the hills. One day, the mines dried up and he was abandoned at the end of the line. A long time later, he was found by when Percy had a day off and decided to go explore the old line that Alex used to work. Percy brought him back and he now does odd jobs around the island. He’s a very kind engine and is willing to help out whenever he can.
I just think your themes are so good and I could never make music as good as yours. That’s why I’m asking you to do this. You obviously don’t have to, but I would really appreciate it if you did.
