check your blindspot, indicate 3 seconds before changing lanes, then slowly change lanes so you give the other driver enough time to react and slow down
You cannot imagine how helpful this was thanks a lot. My instructor is always telling me why are you not changing and sometimes saying I'm changing when it's not safe.. it's because I find it hard to decide when it's safe or not, and hard for me to judge speed of the vehicle as well. This will help in my first assessment I hope.
What I do is check my blindspot and then check my side mirror. I’ve heard that once you see both headlights of the car of the lane you want to turn to then it is safe to do so so that’s what I do
If the distance between you and the car is shortening as your driving and you are relatively close then don’t change lanes and wait to pass But if there’s a safe enough distance and the distance between you and the car is not increasing then indicate, wait a couple of seconds and move into the lane but do it quickly as going slow just causes more problems (This is advice mainly for motorways rather than typical roads)
Yes, you do that if you’re in a 3 lane road or more, coz car coming from far lane may go to the lane you wanted to go, that is not visible to your side mirror.
Can we switch lanes if a Big Truck behind is maintaining same speed & almost fully covers both the 1st and 2nd quadrants? Scenario is that I am driving already at the speed limit and so I cannot accelarate & switch lanes.
if the car is in the 4th quadrant, then stop driving
😂😂😂😂
4 is your car

What should I do if the car was in the 4th quadrant?
Hope God is happy with you.
I always say you should at least see both of their headlights to know this is the safe distance to change lane
Driver would’ve lost points for that fedora

The driving coach instructed me to look out of the right rear window.
You can do that as well. It all depends on comfort and what you are capable of doing

I thought you also do the head check not only side mirror when changing lanes .. correct me if im wrong?
You definitely can but looking behind you takes your visual off the road

@@CrescentMoon566 it is a quick turn of the head lookinging back to see if there is a car by your side( your blind spot).
Thanks this was helpfull
Check the car behind another car, if he have enough distance to slow down for u
Thank you😊
still have to check your blindspot
wanna ask a dumb question do u turn ur head over to check blindspot
@@SIlent5130 yeah but just for a glance. Also dont move ur shoulders or u will be more inclined to move the steering wheel.
If it's in the fourth quadrant then u can't change anymore
I'm here for tips as I cut a car on my right when I was exiting the roundabout, he buzz me

Definitely can, if the truck is in the 3rd quadrant then it would not be suggested
thanks a lot
Please explain to me why uk drivers stay on the fckg right lane instead of coming back to the left
Even better, quickly look over your shoulder
If it was that easy

Awful advice. Change lanes when you see both headlights in your rear view mirror
this is assuming you are faster than the other car, right?
Not faster just ahead
