I watched Doug at NESC races when he turned expert ,he became my favorite rider.I love watching old AMA 125 races when Doug was working his way to the top.He was unstoppable, wide open, engine tapped out watch out Doug is on the move.Thank you Doug for all the exciting moments you gave to motocross.
Doug Henry ... so much love from this dude. And so much love for this dude. Makes me so proud as a former NESC racer and fellow CT person born and raised
Doug Henry is an inspiration to any kid involved in motocross...it's still unbelievable to me how he can break his back and come back and win a national championship in 1998. Definitely my favorite rider of all time.
I was at the season opener in LA super x when he debuted the yz 400 in the mud leading 19 laps before it stalled. Never been so excited at any sporting event since, even lost my voice trying to imitate the never heard before 4 stroke rip!! How on earth can you not love this guy! Raise those kids and get on tv with Jeff and Ricky you deserve/belong there.
I have crazy footage from the 80's I was a mid pack expert I need to go through the tapes we filmed some moments of doug and leo and Keller morrison all those guys I gotta find the footage I got leo fautex giving Keller the finger its here I just don't have the time to search
Doug is a great guy, the opposite of Bob Hannah. Don't get me wrong, Bob Hannah was a legendary racer, but he had an A**hole personality, and still does to this day.
Bob "hurricane" Hannah is not an asshole! He is an arrogant asshole. That's why God broke his leg in 12 places on the water ski. But he sure was cool looking on that 1978 yz250.
