    1. Your dog can run faster than you can peddle.
    2. I prefer finding designated “dog-friendly” fields to let my dogs (and me) run at our independent speeds & durations.
    3. Grass is easier on their paws too.

      1. I agree with all your points. 👍
      2. A dog’s #1 priority is to please their master.
      3. And dogs are incredibly adaptable to their situations.
      4. When I saw his dog’s neck tether jerk back until his master was peddling up to speed, I winced.
      5. Admittedly, I am not a fan of confined, remote, trailways.
      6. I prefer open, nearby fields
      7. Dogs want to run freely to exhaustion.
      8. Plus, I personally prefer sprinting over bicycling.

      1. I don’t dispute anything you’ve said.
      2. But if this particular individual could peddle faster than his dog, why did he need the spring-tether attached to the front of his bike?
      3. Why not just peddle faster than the dog, with the dog running after you?
      4. I think this video was more about his ingenious spring-tether thingy than anything else.

I would hold Is my leash on my dog By hand And not tied onto my bicycle when I took my dogs for a walk or run. If that dog goes to the left or right you are going to crash. I found that out the hard way. That is why I would hold the leash.

What immediate really comes to mind is that the dog is not tethered far enough away so if somethings startles the dog and he wants to stop, you could easily run over him. I know that you think your reactions are good enough, but they’re not. If an animal, such as another dog or something wants to attack your dog, your dog is not free to fight or flee, will be tangled up in the tether, and unable to defend himself. The dog is running on gravel, which is not good for its paws pulling hard like that. How long do you think the dog could possibly pull you at that rate before something happens to him and some of the dog breeds and it looks like your dog is one of them has hip issues as they get older so you’re actually contributing to, hip and bone problems later on in life. I could go on, I would suspect you are a young person or a lot of these things would’ve already dawned on you. Take a lesson from people who have sled dogs, and they cover the dogs paws with leather boots so they don’t get injured on ice and that ice is just as bad as that gravel. Think about it.

Yes, and continue to pay taxes so when something happens to you and they tap Medicaid, they’re tapping my money. I can tell by your attitude and your comments you don’t have a clue. That’s OK with me, there is a learning curve and you’re not on it yet.
