I'd like any of the countless interviewers to actually push Karl on the thrust of the hard problem - why can't all the hierarchical planning and Inference go on in the dark? Why is there an associated conscious experience? It obviously has great utility but would like it to be spelled out clearly within the active inference framework. This has serious implications for the nature and design of AI.
