I bought the HD3000 from Ken’s a few years ago. I love it. It is a power house. I chose the black color.

Is it difficult to see the switches and writing on the machine in low light (because it's black). Also, does the black edition show every fingerprint and speck of dust?

These comparison videos are helpful , also sometimes I would like to know for instance in the Janome line , why would you get a Skyline over a DC something , what are the advantages if ‘ each group’.. what kind of sewer would want one series over another

What kind of thread would you use on the HD 5050?

Have you noticed any difference in performance since the HD3000 and HD5000 moved to a 0.5amp motor from the 1.0amp older motor?

We have not. Janome made this change in 2019 and redesigned the motor to use half the electricity but still have the same needle penetrating power. We have sewn on both and can verify this is correct.

Good deal. I hope you’ll have some HD5000BEs in stock when I show up in a few weeks 😀

Jenome price fixing is the only reason I have not bought one yet.

I could never sew for a longer time than maybe one seam without a knee lifter 😅. I really don't understand why so many machines come without it. But maybe it's just me..

The knee lift is nice if you do a lot of freemotion quilting. You can get models in the Janome line that has this. We can help you with all of them
