I LOVE THIS BAND!!! Great request, Jake!! And Tom, this song is from like a bipolar conversation point of view. The singer said he came very close to killing himself but he promised to at least make it until his son’s 18th birthday, which at the time was 15 years. He’s forgotten 15 years (his own childhood) and he promises 15 more (until his son turns 18).

15 years is specific to a feeling Joel has with his youngest child. writing the song he was thinking about how his father wasn’t a part of his life from an early age and how hard life was for him growing up, basically forgetting 15 years of his life until he was 18. So he sings “I’ve forgotten 15 years, and promise 15 more to you, till I can feel nothing for good” means that he’s forgotten 15 years of his own life but he promises his youngest that he will be around and stay alive for 15 more years till they turn 18.
All f*#$ed up by the Amity affliction is one of their extremely emotional songs. Extremely relatable sadly. Can spread the awareness of what others are going through and could be thinking.

I've heard some other Amity Affliction fans say they didn't like this song, but I love this one it's one of my favorites, it's got the lyrics everyone knows and loves but is so unique sounding.
When I first heard this track I wasnt a big fan of it, but when I played it back a few times it really grew on me. There are very very few Amity songs I can say I dont like
Man I love hearing these analysis. One song I wish I saw more people looked into is by this group and it's called Olde English 800. It's so underground and I don't know why! Because the song is so beautiful and for me the lyrics are so impactful!! ^_^

The Vocalist (screamer) Joel Birch said this song was about his bipolar disorder. He said "‘Aloneliness’ is just that line between the two personalities that are co-existing in my head and how I deal with that or feel under the weight of it.”
I really think you need to watch 'All Fucked Up' by them, it's not heavy at all, and easily their most emotional song

This song will always have a special meaning to me. This album dropped the same day my ex told me she cheated on me. At the time I felt like my life was basically over and I listened to this album from start to finish as loud as possible. When I got to this song, it absolutely broke me, and I can honestly say it gave me my first real adulthood cry.

Relate to these songs very well, but none more than breaking Benjamin’s “dear agony” which is the title track . The song is about the vocalists alcohol addiction and the cover is his MRI scan on his brain . Pretty sure it’s called an mri?!. Not sure if you have heard it , but it’s definitely worthy of a review. I’ve been a fan of alt music and an amateur musician for 27 years and yet to find a darker song . Depressing songs , sure . I can’t listen to ‘death cab for cuties’ old albums .😂😢
