These are chinese soldiers (Kuomingtang, a.k.a. Chinese Nationalist Party). To briefly summarize the MV, in a parallel universe, the protagonist Phuann Tsing-guan' soul saw himself getting executed (convicted of treason). In the MV, he wrote his farewell letter which is the lyrics of this song. Phuann also appeared in mirror of retribution and takasago army. In the timeline of those albums, he wanted to steal underworld god's book of life and death and released souls who were slain in 228 massacre. He failed and was imprisoned in mirror of retribution.

@@DustDragon so I glanced your video last time, now I watched the entire thing. I'll explain more. The MV of Defender's of Bu Tik Palace (acoustic) and millennia's faith undone describe the same event. Phuann Tsing-guan is a Taiwanese soldier of Japanese Empire. He survived in the battlefield and returned home, but he was executed by Chinese Nationalist government for treason. It was a period called White Terror. Many innocents were executed for "treason." This is another timeline from the albums. I'll introduce the albums tomorrow. I'm a huge chthonic fan. I'm proud of being a Taiwanese because of their music.

I could, yet I've seen those videos quite often, and I'm pretty fond of them already, a reaction to them is impossible TwT
