If one builds good reading habits, they can read up to 100 pages a day. Multiply that by 365 (days in a year) and that’s 36500 pages a year! If we take the average academic book to be 300 pages (and this can argued to be on the high-end) then that’s ~121 books a year! It’s hard to grasp just how much knowledge one could actually attain from 121-300 paged books. Even half of that number, 60, is still an astounding number and a plethora of knowledge could be acquired from such. 50 pages may only take 1 hour a day. Jzk brother, may Allah reward you. For consideration: Becoming knowledgeable also requires implementing (acting/practising) upon attained knowledge. Not adopting the ideas and concepts will make knowledge fade away. Also for the one who is carefully reading into you it will not come accross as authentic. What is the benefit of attaining information for the sake of information. Knowing and realizing are not synonymous as such the fruit of knowledge is taqwa. Knowledge should have an effect. It is of no use if people can visit a person who is able to share the ruling on numerous issues, in absense of passing on the mission (strive) to change the reality of our lives as individuals or society as a whole, to become in harmony with the ruling (in absolute terms). As it is known that the Prophets (pbut) dealt with the illnesses of their people (society), that which was infront of them. Thus the reality and practical (alternative) solutions. Also from what the brother mentioned, but from a slight different angle. (In dawah) most beneficial knowledge is the practical knowledge. That what is needed in dawah to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. It is the preformance of dawah which reveals the area of required knowledge. Someone may touch upon a subject which is unknown to you, which should motivate you to research. Is the biography of Prophet (PBUH) by sheikh Muhammad al-Khudari Bak al-Bajuri good? The name of the book is Noorul Yaqeen Fi Siratul Sayyidil Mursaleen. I came across a translation of this book in my native language (Malayalam). Since I have no seerah books, I am of the intention to buy this book. Please reply. Thank you for your time.

On the book about the prophecies about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, it seems like many of the wordings of the OT text is taken from sources that Jews/christians don’t use as their main wording (the book references the findings in Qumran frequently). Wouldn’t they just say that they reject anything other than the masoretic text and kill the discussion? For example the prophecy in Isaiah 21 talking about the people of Kedar being humiliated within 1 year in the popular text, while the book mentions the Q form text which says 3 years which fits the Prophet ﷺ etc. ?
I’ve considered setting a schedule to complete books I’ve been reading as I have a habit of wanting to read something else out of interest for another topic. Any suggestions? This is excluding the time to time tafsir visits as I would imagine that be normal but الحمد الله.

Would you recommend combined version of books such as Sahih Bukhari arabic or in single volumes (e.g text might be too small in combined) for limited space in your experience.

The position of Ahl Al Sunnah wa Al Jama'ah is that we accept these attributes on the apparent meaning and leaving the modality or "howness" to Allah. We say Allah Azzawajal has Two Hands but we say these Hands are different than ours, and we don't know the exact nature of them because Allah says "laysa kamithlihi shay" 'there is nothing like him'. Hope this helps

Just a side note, are brains 🧠 are very lazy in the fact that they try to achieve the most using the least amount of effort (mental/physical resources). Hence, you need to regonise when you feel that your brain is trying to pull you away from studying such as generating thoughts in your head of other things to do (watch tv, see what someone else is doing etc.) to stop what your doing at that particular moment and try and trick you brain into seeing there will be ease other this period of efforr etc. Wa allahu a3lam

im learning arabic now
May Allah facilitate
I would like to ask a more specific question about this. You seem very versed in the narrators of Hadith; is there a English book, since I can’t understand Arabic yet, about the saheeh narrators and daef narrators?
The only thing that comes to mind on that topic in English is Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd.
I recommend people buy books from al-aqeedah, theres english translations with footnotes, good for people to learn, pretty much only classical@@FaridRespondsscholars
Salam alaikum Farid, where can I contact you privately?
👍
This only works if you are interested, if you are not then you become bored and tired instantly. EDIT: I commented to early, the brother addressed this lol
By NOT reading the books Farid reads for one 🤷🏻♂️
Assalamualaikum farid, lately I have a problem with myself and I always think and ask something that and this is like thinking and also myself worried and confused with the surrounding situation and asking something that is chaotic as if not calm like confused with the law law, nature, form. and god and other laws including life!! can you explain me about my problem? greetings from Malaysia ☪️🇲🇾❤️😇
What?
I can read many words, but not a single sentence.
Brother Farid, do sunnis accept the hadiths about Allah subhanahu wa ta'alah having shins or 2 right arms and hadiths of that sorts?
The position of Ahl Al Sunnah wa Al Jama'ah is that we accept these attributes on the apparent meaning and leaving the modality or "howness" to Allah. We say Allah Azzawajal has Two Hands but we say these Hands are different than ours, and we don't know the exact nature of them because Allah says "laysa kamithlihi shay" 'there is nothing like him'. Hope this helps
@@Abdul_Wakeel_Ghuraba I get it now, jazaka Allahu Khairan brother

first time being so early, what is your age may I ask?
Make videos on sam shamoun
Salam Farid - can you do a video about the issues pertaining to Zoroastrianism : five daily prayer, 101 names of God, night journey, ablution before prayer
Zoroastrian websites admit that they changed their religion and took some from Islam
The Zoroastrian holy text came after Islam in 9th 10th century they didn't keep oral or written records as cited by herodutos it is old conspiracy theories against islam
@@Mohammed-jf2sp Thank you. Does he talk about it in a specific book or video?
@@japes7085 I’am referring to a video on youtube, (هل الإسلام ينقل من الزرداشتية), but probably he discusses that in some of his books.
sheikh, is there any way to ask question with you separately?
Farid I have a question regarding Ibn Ishaq obv you are more knowledgeable here then me, is he a reliable source and I read somewhere about the chronically comes form his book, many people say his work is inauthentic and has fabricated information in it as well, I know we can verify something in it if it is authentic or not but using the sahih ahadith so can you please elaborate on this subject

I face problem when i am reading other language's book. Like, my mother tongue is Bangla. When i read english book, i need to sit with a dictionary and frequently search for word meaning, and gradually i loose interest. What should I do in this case? please help
Can i ask you questions farid?
ya shaykh, regarding your book THE NECESSITY OF HADITH, is it available as a PDF as the shipping charges are a lot, I would really consider to buy it as a PDF, Pls do guide if possible. Jazakallah khair
The publisher will make a PDF version within the week, he said

With dujaals like imran nazir(ene?) Hosein we need to learn Aqida salafiya and manhaj or priorities to build a strong base.
Asharis skip Aqida with proof from Quran as they are on bida and go straight to taqlid in fiq, so they disconnected from Quran and dujaals like imran come by & Iie.
