I’ve recently decided to learn makeup and I’ve been looking for some makeup products that would be cheap for me to get since makeup can be pricey sometimes and this was great because most people doing makeup tutorials are from America and we don’t have the same products😅

they're fine, I think when you go to the store and see the shades, it could be better, I can't speak for people with pale skin, and maybe its changed since the posting of this video, but they have propably like 8 shades total, which isn't that bad, but I feel like someone with a darker skin tone then me would struggle to find something, or with a more blue undertone to their skin. Like they're all very red-tinted.
At first I thought the foundation was incredibly patchy but I think it was just my brushes. Because the problem went away pretty quickly.
I think undertones are more important the darker the shade, because a peach colour has less complex colours in it then a brown (obviously, you need to mix more colours to get a brown then a peach or a pale white).
Its a great start, but I would prefer some darker shades, and some more blue-tinted foundations.
I have family from both Saudi-arabia and Sudan, which means I do have dark skin, but there are certainly people with darker skin then me from both those countries, and I think they would have trouble finding the correct shade in the xoxo foundation.
I only got their foundation so I can't speak for anything else, but I think based on my experience with the foundation, I would try their other stuff, just maybe a little reluctantly.

Been watching makeup videos for years, first time stumbling upon your Chanel. I’m so glad I did! Thanks so much for your honest review! I hate how much trial and error there is with makeup, especially with budget products and seeing your reaction to stuff is just making it so much easier for me to decide if I want to bother trying some things. I’m on an extremely tight budget and if I were to go through too many cheap products before finding decent ones I’d end up probably spending as much as a dearer one anyway before finding what I’m looking for. I also love hearing your familiar Aussie “oh nauooooooorr” it doesn’t even sound like you’re doing it for shits and giggles it’s your natural accent and it’s glorious! 😂. Thanks again lovely! Hopefully you have some wear test reviews to to see how thing hold up over the day and this mad heat wave that blasted us straight into summer from the depths of winter with no bloody in-between.

I still have the same opinions now on the kmart makeup from when I made the video. Definitely some hits and misses but a great price point!

Kmart has just came out with charlotte tilbury dupes and I tried the liquid bronzer and it was so nice you should totally make a video of the new makeup they just came out with there is so much good stuff 🫶🫶🫶 I would watch the whole video haha since not many people do kmart makeup reviews

I think the problem with the cream blush was that you put it on top of powders. Q lot of cream products aren't supposed to go over powders

I'm probably going to sound like a makeup snob lol but I prefer to save up and buy higher end products. If I am going to buy something drugstore, I tend to stick to the bigger brands like Maybelline, Revlon etc. Marlena Stell did a great video recently about what products you should buy drugstore and which you should spend some money on. It was really interesting since she has "insider" knowledge of the industry.
Absolutely not! thats the beauty of makeup, you can pick and choose what you spend you money on. I love high end and drugstore, what ever it is that catches my eye xx
You have a preference and that’s all good. I used to stick to drug store because I was povo until I got a couple of Mecca vouchers for Christmas one year and it was enough to branch out and test some higher end stuff. I did so much research so I knew what products I wanted to try. Let’s just say I got hooked because there are some things I ended up getting that were just soooo much better than I’d ever experienced before! Like an actual colour match in foundation to start urgh! It was heaven! However, I wear it too often and go through it too quickly so I gotta keep an eye out for decent “make-do” products so I can save the good stuff for special occasions and afford to keep this mug beat 😂. Plus I’ve built up a bit of a reputation among family and friends as the token “make-up guru” and get lots of requests like hey can you do your niece’s formal makeup or can you do my makeup for my baby shower, please????? I love doing it but need affordable products so we can get stuff that doesn’t break their budget either and so many products are specific to individuals. I mean I’d love a professional quality makeup artist kit but I’m doing it for the love not money and so infrequently things would expire so I can’t really justify the $$$. Thanks for suggesting the other video in your comment though, I might check it out. Never hurts to listen to experienced advice with any art form.
No one can do eyeliner equally. Yours look good. I use the MUD felt tip liner. Have done for years!

I'm here for cheap products that work but it's such a shame when unnecessary fragrance is part of the ingredient list. That bronzer is a no for me but love the liner glue and blush topper.

Hi I know this is gonna sound so ridiculous but I’m 11 and practically broke… I live In Australia and I Am a bloody Kmart addict every weekend I ask my dad or mum if i can go to k mart I am getting paid tmw for babysitting ($50) for two hours and I have a few of the products in this video do you reckon you could try the oxx cosmetics setting spray & the primer from oxx cosmetics?thanks sooooo much Sam you amazing and I love you positive attitude
The issue with kmart cosmetics is they don't have the same range at all their stores & often they're out of stock
Agreed. Overall Kmart struggles to keep up with stock. The demand is too high is too high I think
I like the oxx concealer except the black lid top keeps coming off. Cheap packaging but the formula inside is good, I can’t use it on my eyelids as a primer though. Must have alcohol in it I think.

The problem in Australia I have seen is that these international brands like elf have amazing shades range, but it’s not fully accessible in Australia, which is just unacceptable. Kmart makeup is so popular too, so I just don’t understand how they can’t extend the shade range.

Like you say, if you're on a mega tight budget, then give these a go. For me, I'd sooner invest in fewer, but better quality products ....I think these products (or the majority of KMart cosmetics), are made in China, which is a big 'no' from me.
