Incredible, I can't wait to see the blu-ray. Your restoration efforts are astounding.
Sir Galahad was aired here in my country in 1968 or 1969...dubbed to spanish...in the national tv..in black and white...
George Reeves hated this but better days were coming
Siendo niño no dejaba de mirar sus aventuras.
¡Excelente!
If you ever wondered how the George Reeves 50s Superman would face up to a supervillain (very rare in those days) watch him face Merlin, who certainly qualifies. One may enjoy these two films in light of the Silver Age, which came a decade later. Easy to imagine Clark transported back in time to this story line before reappearing in the "present."
thats great
Awesome
It seems to me as if Sam Katzman wanted to make Prince Valiant as a Serial, Hal Foster(the creator of Prince Valiant) didn´t want to have it as a Serial, so he took Sir Galahad as a hero for this Serial?
Even William Witney told in his biography, he suggested in a meeting his boss Herbert Yates to buy the Comic Prince Valiant, but Mr. Yates didn´t want to.
Hi Erol, I believe that since Columbia had worked with King Features before on THE PHANTOM and MANDRAKE THE MAGICIAN that this was likely planned as a Prince Valiant serial but the price tag on licensing the character was too high. Afterward you may know it was made into a widescreen color feature starring Robert Wagner. I think that is what the rightsholders were holding out for -- bigger money, which they would have got for a feature -- serial-makers couldn't pay as much.
@@serialsquadron I love the Prince Valiant-Comics of the Hal Foster Period and also the movie with Robert Wagner. But the Serial Version of Wiliam Witney would have been interesting! I´m sure with own music and own style like Zorro´s Fighting Legion(which has also his own style and stands out from other Serials!)
evil Saxons - tell that to Robin Hood
Can't find the rest of the episodes
King Arthur and his Queen, his Knights, Merlin & his Ladies all have American Accents!!! Very strange as this pre-dated Columbus by several hundred years!!! 😆
this may possibly the worst quality acting in tv history
This is not a TV show. It was a movie serial released in the last days of when they were made and produced very cheaply, featuring actors who would work for scale, and directed at a 10-12 year old male audience, before there was TV.
