I am very grateful for the biographical information about Lorna Gray!! I didn't know hardly anything about her personal life! Obviously, she was beautiful inside, as well as outside, WOW! Having a long marriage, work with orphans, and becoming a full ordained minster, and living 99 years! Truly a life well spent!!

Clayton Moore's stunt double is Dave Sharpe in the action scenes and this one features what they call "bald face stuntwork" because it is obvious in the wide and medium shots that it is Dave Sharpe because he is clearly recognizable!
That is a young Clayton Moore -- a full seven years before he donned the famous mask for the very first time in '49.

I did admire the Nyoka's bravery
I met Lorna Gray at a Three Stooges fan club meeting a few years back. Very nice lady. We talked more about her work with Buster Keaton in Pest From The West than her work with the Stooges.
I only live quarter of a mile for these were filmed, when you're 8 or 9 years old and you only have half a brain Sarah Greg and then on the weekends used to be able to go up in the rocks and play in the same places they filmed all this stuff the Santa Susana pass San Fernando Valley

I might add, fine photography and good sets. The gorilla was as bad as all movie gorillas, even that of Ray "Crash" Corrigan's.

THE THEATER WOULD WORK UNTIL MIDNIGHT ,THEN AT THE VERY END WOULD SHOW ONE CHAPTER OF THE SERIES ,THEN THEY WOULD ALLOW PEOPLE IN FREE,SO WE WOULD WAIT UNTIL THEN TO SEE THE EPISODE ( WHICH ALWAYS WOULD STOP IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION).

Your restoration puts the dvd releases to shame, they're very poor picture quality, this is the clearest I have seen it since it was televised when I was a kid

A long-ago review named this as the worst of all serials. When I have this much enjoyment, maybe it's better than that--right, folks? I have a big 16 x 20 photo autographed to me by Moore as The Lone Ranger, so call me a fan.

Could it be.....just a wild guess here, but could it be that people enjoy watching these old serials (Flash Gordon, King of the Rocket Men etc) precisely BECAUSE they are so wonderfully corny with wobbly sets & sometimes wobblier acting skills? This is harmless, bonkers fun from an age of more innocent entertainment. Cheer up for goodness sake! You'e not managed to see more than anyone else, you have actually managed to see LESS. (Is the eyepatch intended as a metaphor...?)
