fjallraven should do a SEPERATE chest pack .. like OSPREY DO , instead of having to take a lid off . old fashioned like waxing pants

It’s a Scandinavian company designing gear for Scandinavia’s dramatic weather and terrain. You can’t sit by a fire and warm up with Osprey gear without constant fear of burning holes in it, but you can with Fjällräven gear.
Fjällräven invented framed backpacks, and they sure know what they’re doing. There are many hidden features on this backpack, like removing the metal front rods and sliding them in hidden slots where the wooden frames are, should the frame break (or if you simply want a lighter frame). The lid buckles are also female, so you can use the front compression straps to compress the pack vertically as well when the lid is off, or you can cross-buckle all straps on the pack to compress in a variety of ways, according to your liking. Personally, I’d rather want the option to use the lid as a daypack when you’ve set your base, rather than bringing an extra daypack that sits awkwardly on the outside of your pack when you’re not using it, like Osprey does.
This is a heavy (duty) pack for rough use on mountains, wet and rocky terrain, not a lightweight Osprey pack for traveling and comfort camping.
