It's so weird hearing a Mountain Goats song sung melodiously instead of nasally and shrill like John that I thought I didn't like this cover. I listened the whole way through and changed my mind. This is beautiful.

Unique voice! and in a good way! not in a "hey I don't have anything really good to say so i'm just going to be polite" kind of way, its powerful! and yeah sure, intense but ya know, it can be a good thing! Great guitar work too, the ONLY thing I would say is that the chords are wrong, but even if you meant it or not, what good are covers If their isn't a bit of accedential or intentional improvisation on those sorts of things eh?
