First story: I used to work in hospital housekeeping and it's NOT going to be tidy while a disaster is going on. Housekeeping cleans as best they can until it's over then does deep cleaning...at least at the 2 different hospitals I worked at. Please, have patience with the staff!

As a patient who has had a family member in the ER with trauma injuries, the last thing you’re worrying about is the mess on the floor. You want the medical team to do whatever they need to do to save your loved one; housekeeping does what they need to keep the room safe (clean/remove anything that could cause someone to trip/slip/get injured) and worry about major cleanup after the patient is stabilized and moved elsewhere.

The woman trying to block patients coming in was interfering in an emergency operation. That is a crime. She should have been arrested. I spent almost 20 years in a volunteer fire department. While I have never seen actions like that woman did, I have had people refuse to yield to emergency vehicles. In Vermont, volunteer firefighters/rescue members are allowed emergency lights and sirens. The law here requires drivers to pull over and stop. I have had people refuse to do so. I have heard of people using the " that's not an emergency vehicle" excuse, which is not true. That ends up with a $184 fine and 3 points on their license. That is not punishment enough as far as I am concerned.

Story 3 The girl isn't necessarily manipulative but def entitled... She seems to keep thinking it's all about her and doesn't really take the boyfriend's situation into account. Honestly I hope they break up for the boyfriends sake :/ He's putting in an unbelievable amount of effort so they can have a life after this... School is effort. And I really don't like the I love myself too much shit, it's not like the boyfriends lazing around or anything, he's working and at school and trying his best.

Yup. I'm more to the boyfriend's side since he's still in school and has a lot of things to do. He has a lot of responsibility and I also think that they should break up. The op wants attention/love and the boyfriend wants to be a responsible person. Also living 1 hour apart can cost a lot of gas and the boyfriend is still in school. I would say it makes sense for him rarely visit her. I would be stressed out about this too.

Absolutely on the side of the boyfriend. I see the OP as manipulative specifically at the part where she says “if it was anyone else I would have broken up with you long ago”
She points out that it’s a two way street and wants 100% of his attention when he can’t give it cause isn’t in the same spot as her. He’s going through school and helping his family while she makes it out that he’s being cheap which is not the case. He’s not in a situation to be her boy toy.
“I love myself too much to put up with this” THEN GET A MIRROR AND MARRY IT! The boyfriend deserves much better than her.
If this is how she acts at 6 months, then it’s scary to think how she’d act in a year if not more.

    The OCD story:
It definitely sounds like OCD and an organizational type - there are four types I think and hoarding is one of them - anyway, she also seems to be under a lot of stress in certain aspects of life and that is triggering her even more. She's trying to find things to control to overcome things she can't. Tell her she shouldn't be ashamed of it, it's okay to seek help if feeling overwhelmed. Tell her you see a drastic change in her from stress and anxiety and you're worried because you love her, it's just that you can't help her but a professional can.

Everyone hits patches where their time and money are extremely tight and they need to settle for FaceTime, calls and text messages rather then face to face contact for a while until they’re over the hump. If someone can’t allow a brief time for the people they love to get things straight the relationship isn’t going to get very far

I followed instructions and I got treated at a different department in the hospital. My left arm was numb but I had no chest pain but I didn't want to take any chances. Turns out it was a minor pinched nerve. After treatment I went back to the ER and was pretty concerned of what happened. While they were still taking patients, everyone was able to be treated. The woman who had a bunch of rules and was nervous about everything honestly reminds me of my self in my 20s. Everything was so stressful for me and I would freak out about the most ridiculous insignificant things because I wanted to control the situation. Of course I didn’t realize it then but I think my life had been so out of control when I was younger that when I found out that I had the ability to control things I didn’t want to let it go. Thankfully I learned as I grew and aged and looking back at that younger version of myself is embarrassing but no amount of griping would’ve helped me. It was literally a growing an aging and maturity thing. I finally got over myself and realized how absolutely ridiculous I was and that life was not some thing that could be controlled and I just needed to do the best I could. Watching my kids try to control things is frustrating because I wish I could help them skip that phase of their life but sometimes you just have to grow up and life teaches you stuff that you can’t be taught until going through it. =(

Story 3: So OP is not manipulative but she also does not come off as totally considerate. That said the boyfriend could also circumvent the lack of seeing OP via other means. However, I do not think either of them did it to the extent to where I would call them a jerk. So, to me, they are both not a jerk but are just struggling with a combination of finances and a long-distance relationship.
The BF makes less than OP. As a result, it makes more sense that OP can drive more than the BF can. If we assume generic numbers and say OP makes 20 bucks (I am using small tens numbers), the BF makes 10 bucks, and gas is five bucks. Then the BF driving is much harder on him than it is on the GF. Also, the gas prices with the crying emoji were his attempt to make light of how much he had to pay. That said, the BF could have done cool little romantic things to try to circumvent the drive either with face time, recorded video messages so OP can see them on break, etc...just small things to make the distance, not a big deal.
As for "Why do we need to wait for him to finish school to have a good relationship? Why not do what we can now to build a solid foundation?" That part there is where I feel OP falls flat. The BF *was* doing as much as he could on the connection end (making sure communication was a thing). Going back to the example if the BF makes 10 bucks and gas takes 5bucks that leaves 5bucks to split between school, family, and other responsibilities. Assuming all of that takes like 3 bucks. That leaves the BF with 2 bucks left which is not a whole lot in case emergencies happen. The reality is the point of waiting for him to finish school was so he could statistically speaking, get a raise in pay that matches or exceeds OP's current earned amount.
Overall, I do not see them as the jerk but as struggling with long-distance and the challenges that occur. OP could definitely be a tad more considerate of the financial blight her BF is going through by accepting that she should be the one to take on the expense to see the BF. However, that said the BF should also consider the emotional demands that OP has and act accordingly. Not everything needs to be roses and stuffed bears but as said before voice messages and small handwritten letters. These small gestures really do make it seem as if the distance is not there.
    _____
Story 4: The GF 100% has OCD. The obsessions and compulsions are quite obvious in the rules. This is also one of the many reasons why she seems to get anxious when OP does things in a way that does not fit. Now the superstitious stuff is not something that can only be pinned onto OCD. The GF may also have some sort of generalized anxiety disorder. If my analysis is correct then OP 100% needs to encourage her to get evaluated. The evaluation will help find the issue and than the therapy can help the GF learn how to live with these things. That said if the GF does not want to do so then it is best to leave. It may sound cold-hearted but if OP encourages her and really uses all options to encourage her. Then it is unfair for him to have to take the brunt of her issues that she refuses to fix. Deep-rooted issues like OCD and anxiety cannot be fixed unless the individual wants to do so and staying with them when these issues are not being worked on is just a drain on the S/O.

OP seemingly does not get that her having graduated and him both still being in school and having to help his family with expenses means that spending money on travel is not as possible for him as it is for her. You can have a relationship, sure. He stays in contact via facetime, phone, chat, the whole long-distance bells and whistles. If you want to actually see each other in the same room however you have three options.
    1. You visit him more often. Yes, gas is expensive and that is the problem why he can't visit often. Also likely why he does not buy you flowers or other gifts, because money is tight.
    2. You give him money for gas. Yeah, some will scoff at that, but if you really want to see him and making an effort is the problem for you, you can have him make that effort by having him drive to you, while paying for the gas. That way you can see if he is even willing to do that if he was not so financially constrained.
    3. You can wait until he graduates and gets a job that pays more.
    Also considering the last story:
In many jurisdictions if you just keep the money or refuse to give it back you can be sued and even put in prison.

For the first story, that karen should be in jail with her kid also just so that she learned her lesson, it is not okay to annoy people trying to do their job and if somebody died because of her action she would be like "that's because you guys treat them late, you couldve treated my kid first and then treat them" or "oh youre doing your job so bad, im going to call the police because you caused a person to die". I swear every single karen i ever seen or heard of only wants attention and get special treatment, i bet they didnt get attention from their childhood because apparently they were "parentless"

If yay, I would gladly cash it, but if nay I'd shred the check. Turned out someone had misskeyed an employee number. But they were alerted before the employee could figure their check wasnt coming and able to reissue to the correct employee.

    Second Story:
It really depends on you, really. If OP is uncomfortable about the situation, she should leave. You can break up with a person for whatever reason you may have as long as you're honest, upfront about it and prepared to deal with the consequences (If there are sensitive issues involved, like kids). It's worse to just stay in a relationship building up bitterness and resentment for your SO, rather than just letting them go to be with someone whose not bothered by their situation.
Personally, it would be a deal breaker for me. My best friend is like family to me. Just like I wouldn't date someone who was in a relationship with my brother (AND still close friends with him), I wouldn't date someone who was in a relationship with my best friend. Not judging anyone else, but that's just gross to me. And it kinda just makes things... Messy? You know what I mean? Like, inevitably, comparisons will start popping up.

But think OP's mental health because this kind of things literally take a toll in someone at end and OP can react bad from one of her neurotic OCD attacks, and honestly, as someone who had that with my own mother, even if she overworried about the house, i takes someone to bad places and you want to end up hurting that person because it doesn't see it hurt you too with the OCD rules. Trust me, OP should force therapy on her right now, or simply ... leave her, because as much cold as i sounds, no one should be subject to "perfection and prestine rules" daily because someone has a serious OCD issue.
