Kirby said he resigned because he could not sign off on recommendations he felt did not cover the 'interests of persons with mental health disorders who were members of disadvantaged social groups.'

The idea of MAID is 1930s Germany. You have socialized medicine. Shouldn’t you be helping!
Not a fan of this reporter’s approach but he handled it well
Thank you Dr. Kirby, even if you dont see this comment
The only video after 5-6 videos that allows comments, and it's 5 months old! What is happening here? This is big now, and it WAS big 5 months ago.
No requirement for an independent psychiatrist to be involved is chilling. The dam is burst and the slope is more slippery than ever.
God open my eyes , God Will close my eyes no matter what how hard the experience in my life could be this law is evil . Dont let a law to make things easy for you in hard times there is always hope .
Not a fan of this journalist, but the man has some excellent points and is well articulated.
A good man
This is the first time in probably two years that I’d hit the thumbs up on this channel.
Dr Kirby should get back on that committee and advocate for those unable to speak for themselves and make sure the proper safeguard are in place.
And what's proper safeguard??
@@elena2125 , listen to Dr Kirby.
This should be illegal
Its not ur business if someone chooses to end their life
This takes many HUMAN’s choice ,to choose what path their life deaths has tun it’s course.
The line between MAID and suicide seems exceedingly fine. I'm told suicide is a bad thing.
It's not bad though. :)
@@caode9385 ok jeffrery dahmer, whatever you say
its not bad when you can have the "undesirables" of your society to off themselves, willingly mind you.
So overall summary of this interview, I stepped down from my position from MAID due to my conscience, but the implementation of MAID is good, and oh yeah, Conservatives bad.
Nice try CBC.
Make maid AVAILABLE to all Canadians its a personal choice and its no one business
you wouldn’t want your cat or dog to suffer at a certain point. Why do we have to make our loved ones?
We go to a vet, a specialist, to help make that decision. This legislation just needs a nurse practitioner to sign off. These people are not qualified to make those decisions.
EXACTLY
Thanks To Trudys Shoots, Everyone I Know Is Looking Forward To The Assisted Suicide Program. They Can't Take The Pain From The Side Effects. Thanks Trudy.....🌞
