The USS Harpers Ferry landing ship dock of the US Navy travels through San Diego Harbor. The warship exited San Diego Naval Base to then dock at Naval Base Point Loma, likely for fuel and supplies.
The USS Harpers Ferry (LSD-49) is the first in it's class of Landing Ship Docks with the US Navy. The type is used to land marine, vehicles and supplies on beaches during operations.
