  • Rice Balls in Coconut Milk or 'Bua Loy' is a lovely Thai traditionally dessert.
The balls are chewy and soft, kind of like Mochi japanese dessrt if you're familiar with. Mixing with the sweet coconut milk mixture.
Very fun dessert and easy to make which you can spend time with kids, friends or lover to help rolling the little balls.
The dough will be similar to the play dough. So feel free to be creative and shape them into something lovely!

In Indonesia, there are some foods like it.
Kolak biji salak, jenang grendul/bubur cethil, etc.

I love thai desserts. I miss eating things like Bua Loy, Salapao cream, Khao Tom Mud, Khanom Chan, and the soupy pudding with the mung beans in it (I can't remember what it's called). Gonna sub so I catch any desserts you make in the future. While I was studying over there, my traditional cooking class made pea flower dumplings and its a Thai food I never see anyone talk about, but I think it was my favorite thing I ever ate over there.

Thank you 💕 It’s Pandan leaves 😊 Quite common in south east Asia for a nice aroma in desserts(like vanilla in western desserts). But if you can’t find, you can leave it out.

Thank you, Cassie! You can use corn starch instead or can even leave it out.
Use only glutinous rice flour would turn out great as well.
