"Fragile freedom" wood sculpture - Woodturning and carving

In this video I make a wood sculpture out of basswood and olive wood burl. I first turned the pieces on the lathe and then I used my rotary tool to power carve the rest of the forms. I really want to thank my good friend Giorgos Laskaridis for sending me this beautiful piece of olive wood.

Hello. An amazing peace of woodworking, and my god, what an example of patience artwork. The figure in the middle has been hugged something or someone, so is my impression, a kind of happiness or affection. The other little „arms“ they tend to remember me from the first moment at the Aliens, by the Alien Films, where they hatching out of the eggs. Sorry, that was my first impression, but it is an interesting contrast.
